"You're goading the poor man to partake in yet another dangerous escapade, I assume?"
Shadow lifted her head and turned her head behind her. A small hoarse voice colored the darkness around them. Under the moonlight, the hazel eyes flickered at Shadow with thin straight lips.
"How well do you know me, sir Black?" Shadow snickered small and continued preparing herself.
Black shook her head in dismissal. Although she understood Shadow's eagerness to show their world to the possible additional family member, this however was way over the line by any reckoning.
And Shadow probably knew it too the way she grinned widely at her. She was working on her socks early at dawn, without a light.
Black stared blankly at the stiff lady for a couple of minutes, enjoying the quiet time among them. Before she decided to break the silence with her understanding voice - calm and serenade.
"It's going to be okay."
