Raymond stared at his daughter after she healed Hades, "Care to explain it to me?"
She looked at him, not here. In the guest room. She walked him to the room where she spent the night. And closed the door.
"Haven't you seen him fly? Why did you attack him?" She glared at him. Sitting on the bed and sighting.
"I've seen him, I also saw him trying to drop you." Her father growled as he sat on a chair, "Heard you stopped by the church after returning so I was coming to pick you up. Wouldn't have been this angry had he only carried you."
She glared at her father with a lifted eyebrow, "He can fly. Do you know what that means?"
"He's a wizard, what else could such a person be." Her father growled.
"No, he's a Valkyrie. Wizards use staffs and wands, he didn't."
"Can't believe that. A Valkyrie won't be in such a remote city. He will never be beaten by an old man like me."
"He's still extremely injured, and you can't call yourself an old man."
Gabriella proceeded to explain how Hades's situation was, how bad his injury was, and the fact she wasn't able to fully heal him. Even earlier when she healed him from the fight with her father, she could still feel her magic being sucked.
"If he's a Valkyrie, why won't he announce it? That makes no sense to me." Her father has subsections about Hades, "The way he fought, I didn't sense any holiness from him."
"Have you ever heard of a Valkyrie retiring? Have you ever known where they were born or raised? Do you think fighting monster requires holiness?" Gabriella growled at him, even though he was her father. When it came to religious knowledge she far surpassed him.
"I see…a Valkyrie would never announce himself as one. And I do agree, fighting the monster is more about strength than holiness." Her father agreed, finally seeing the situation a bit from her side. "But, I would hope for a more solid proof."
Gabriella smiled, showing the back of her hand to him. The golden Chain symbol was her proof. "Got this by healing him, it appears I was approved to serve as his supporter. Not by him, but by the divine energy linking us all."
"So it's the goddess's will?" Her father stared at her blankly.
"Yeah, I wasn't blessed with an Ability. It was all so I can be blessed to work under a Valkyrie. And it was the Ginis's daughter who brought him my way, I would say the way you treat them should be changed." She smiled.
"You were right, the goddess knows what she is doing. This is our blessing…" His expression changed suddenly, "But even still, I'm going to kill him for laying a hand on you!" He growled.
"No, you aren't! Were you listening to me?"
"I was…" He replied with a straight face.
After about an hour, Hades opened his eyes. It was the first time he recognized the ceiling.
"Already awake? Is this just you or her skills?" He heard a woman's voice beside him, as he turned his head. The head nun was there.
"You the one for earlier…" Hades remembered the old as he recalled the morning. "Need to kill him." He stood up clenching a fist.
"Sit down! Do you want to die? That's the lord and you don't even have the strength to kill him." She growled pushing him down by the shoulders.
She started screaming and lecturing him as he stared at the ground absentminded.
Hades looked at her face trying to assess what he need to do. What could he do to kill that man?
'I got, I need to kill more. Pile up favor and then kill him when I get stronger.' He looked at the woman yelling at his head…she was getting annoying, 'Probably I should start with her.'
Hades stood and was about to swing a fist at the head nun to kill her.
CRACK! The door opened and Gabriella stared inside, "Hear the head nun yell so I knew you must be awake." She entered with a smile.
Hades put killing the nun on hold, for the time being, as this yellow woman was more important.
"You already standing? What were you about to do?" Gabriella asked, she expected to hear something inspirational, something exotic.
"Was about to kill her since she talk too much," Hades said with a passive face.
Raymond walked behind Gabriella, "You must be joking, she is a…" as he was talking, he saw Hades fly toward him with a clenched fist.
Thwack! Lord Raymond grabbed Hades's fist and growled at him, "Can't you calm down for a moment?"
Hades didn't reply, he swung a kick at Raymond immediately aiming for the head.
"Hades stop! Can you hear me for a moment?" Gabriella interfered and stopped them, hades seemed to listen to her more than anyone else.
"See, he wants to kill me!" Lord Raymond cried looking at his daughter.
She turned toward Hades with a confused face, why would such an esteemed Valkyrie aim for her father's life even though the fight between them was over?
"I don't feel at ease around him, he is dangerous to leave alive," Hades replied while keeping an eye on Raymond.
"No, you can't…" Gabriella stopped mid-sentence thinking about Hades's words. She remembers that her father said he will still kill Hades for touching her. Hades wasn't wrong to feel threatened by her father. "You're right. Father, it's your fault." She turned to blame her father.
'Hades's instincts are so sharp, no wonder he sniffed the kidnapper. He even caught on my father's intents, he's the real deal.' this only solidified her belief that Hades is a Valkyrie in hiding.
"But Gabriella, this can't be right." Her father wanted to cry.
"Just leave us alone for a moment, you're scaring him. Will talk later at home, someone needs to inform mother, right?" She smiled and gave her father an excuse to leave. Hades was on edge and must be treated carefully, if her father kept pressing him on, she might lose him.
After Lord Raymond left, Gabriella sat facing Hades with a smile on her face. She looked at the open window and smiled. "How are you feeling? Anyplace hurts?"
Hades instructed his stomach and chest, there was no pain at all.
"You healed me? You can do that?" He started to understand why the system wanted her beside him. If she could heal him like this all the time, he could fight more and with less chance of dying.
"Don't count on me too much, those spells consume a lot of gold and are taxing on my body." She smiled with a pained smile, fearing that he will see her skills as pathetic.
"That's amazing, if we got the gold, you can heal me every day?" He looked excited.
"It would be too much work to do each day for a long time, I told you I don't have that strong of a body." She looked down, she can cast the spell repeatedly each day for a week or two, but after that, she must rest. Exhaustion will slowly build up.
"If you're worried about your body, can't you just get stronger?" Hades asked with a puzzled face. He couldn't understand why won't she just l seek to become stronger.
"I'm a high priest, never been an athletic in my life." She started to feel afraid he was about to kick her out. She didn't want to lie as she felt he will call her out.
"Then start now? Is there a problem with that?" Hades looked at her with a passive face.
