Thump!

Luke's heart thumped in terror and his face went pale when he saw the bear open its eyes and look at him.

'Fuck! It was alive.' Cursed Luke in his heart before turning on his feet to dash away. However, he hadn't even taken a step when the bear let out a low growl, causing him to freeze in place. He couldn't even breathe. 

'What's this?! Why can't I move?!'

Growl!

Just as he was panicking, the bear let out another low growl, and he regained control over his body. He instinctively wanted to escape, but recalling how he inexplicably froze just now, he knew the bear wouldn't let him, so he gritted his teeth and dropped the idea.

Of course, it wasn't only because he knew the bear would use its strange paralyzing power to stop him, but also because he could feel the bear didn't have any ill intent toward him, if it did, it wouldn't have released him.
