Inspecting

Shortly after leaving the dining room with his family while King was walking back towards his room he overheard some of the maid staff talking about him.

"The Young master is quite adorable I can only imagine what he will look like in the future"

"I'm sure he will be a real head turner he seems to take after his mom in that regard"

"His smile nearly pierces my soul I wonder what happened he seems so giddy today, whereas normally he is more brooding and stoic" the maids said either not realizing he could hear them or not caring.

I want to see myself even more now it's eating me up guess I should be grateful for my Mother's genes although I was quite the looked in my previous life as well, don't remember how my past life Mother looked though. He inwardly thought

After finally reaching his room the first thing King did was look into a mirror and what he saw shocked him.

Barring the additional cosmetic increase that comes from the riddance of impurities and likely lack of harmful environmental aspects such as in his past life he looked nearly identical to a younger version to his past self with the exception to his purple and white hair that he was just now noticing.

Aside from that he was the same caramel skinned with oddly enough black eyebrows, gray eyes and quite an effeminate face especially when paired with his long purple and white hair it's no wonder he was compared to his mother.

Another thing he noticed was he was quite tall for his height or at least that would definitely hold true for his past life standing at about 1.68 meter (5'6") which is great for future plans because even if he didn't grow any time soon he could pass as a short adult male.

This was getting weirder and weirder now I have the same name as my past life and look very similar that's one too many coincidences, that plus the ease in which I merged our two souls makes me believe this is much more complicated than I initially believed at first, maybe I wasn't transmigrated into a new body or soul perhaps I was transmigrated into my own reincarnation.

Whatever it's better not to think about it too much otherwise I'll get absorbed in it and hypothesize more and more theories better to focus on what I can immediately do something about and that is getting more powerful and seeing what assets I have available. He inwardly thought

King began to introspectively look at his soul sea and what he saw surprised him in comparison to his past life it seemed larger and more powerful than he recalled his soul sea at the Middle 2nd stage, also there was something he didn't recognize within it which should not be the case.

After taking the time to inspect it he was one hundred percent sure that this wasn't supposed to be here it was golden and looked like it was a scripture or mantra but it also had what resembled a lock on it so the only thing King could assume is this was left by the expert who transferred him to Asteria.

That left King with yet another mystery why did he leave this in his soul sea and why was he unable to peer into it, ignoring the seemingly obvious lock like emblem on it, maybe it when open once some conditions are met or a certain cultivation stage is reached.

Now King was going to check and see what elemental affinity he had but when he saw his hair he had quite the assumption and he hoped he was right.

Normally when one is born they have an elemental affinity in which they are more attuned with and/or excel with, you're able to circumvent this and learn other elements if you have no affinity or talent with specific elements in later Essence Gathering cultivation stages if you are a human. Magical beasts on the other hand are normally born with one element they excel at and higher tiered beast sometimes have 2-3 depending on their status upon birth although some still only have one but they just are naturally more adept at utilizing it than humans, and also because the more rare the elemental affinity the less likely they are to have another at least in earlier stages of cultivation or if they even decide to branch out at all.

Hybrids on the other hand where King falls into are normally born with one element whereas those who are talented and/or deemed as blessed by the heavens can have two although it is believed it's just the case of one inheriting an element from each parent but depending on how many elements they are proficient with which ones can is also be considering a matter of luck.

King believed this to be the reason why hybrids were frowned upon more so than a bloodline thinning problem since no one wanted their offspring to have a lower starting point than anyone else especially those they deemed to be inferior. So he proceeded to inspect himself once again and no surprise at all to him his elemental affinities were indeed the light and dark element.

Normally this would be a bittersweet moment for most simply because unless you were born into nobility, sects or one of the Four Divine Beasts clans you simply would find it nearly impossible to find a corresponding cultivation technique for those elements especially both at the same time most would end up being viewed as having no affinity or waiting to later on before having a more common element before using an elemental based cultivation technique.

King had the answer to this otherwise troubling situation due to his fiendish ways in his past life among the countless souls reaped he also collected quite the fair share of cultivation techniques and martial arts although some of them would not be nearly as effective due to his hybrid status at the very least he would be able to modify them to fit his current needs or just use what he can and either trade some of those for stuff he can use or dip back in his old ways and plunder.

The Yin and Yang Supplemental Fusion Cultivation Technique:

Any two elements that are deemed polar opposites can be used to supplement the other to create a fusion that can be both temporary and/or permanent that will increase the cultivation speed twofold and prowess twofold when compounded with each other.

The reason King chose this technique was the fact that if he found a superior cultivation technique that specialized in any element he'd be able to override this one without having to destroy his entire foundation instead it would accommodate anything due to the after effects of the technique.

King was excited that he finally had everything established for him to start progressing smoothly in his Essence Gathering cultivation in reference to his bodily cultivation his previous counterpart did a great job of establishing a solid foundation so that was also a phenomenal starting point, the quickest and most effective way for that to improve Is to simply hunt and devour more magical beasts.

Actually why stop there I can also use my darkness element to my advantage and core/dantains to help supplement and hasten my Essence Gathering cultivation, while also devouring their soul cultivations If it is appropriate to do so, I said I'd tread carefully morally but there's always someone who gets off on poking the bear after all. He inwardly thought

Now I need to sift through some of these techniques and see which ones I can use even in this body, which ones that simply won't work, lastly which ones can be salvaged and modified to work even with my current circumstances.

Forsaken Yin Lotus Manual:

Dual cultivation method that is deemed to be of the wicked faction due to it's core method of practice on siphoning a women's yin essence during dual cultivation, most effective when it's a woman virgin yin essence and also the larger the gap between the man and woman's cultivation the more the man benefits if he can handle absorbing it without exploding from overloading his meridians, and core/dantain.

Hmm I think I'll put that one in the maybe pile for the time being, that was used more openly by me simply by how I was viewed by many women in my past life while playing Asteria, however it should be used more situationally since these are confirmed real people this time around, but circumstances may call for it. He inwardly thought

Divine Intertwining Manual:

Dual cultivation method which is practiced primarily by cultivators in the dual cultivation school of thought it is not widely spread due to wanting to keep the benefits to themselves and not to outsiders, It is a more openly accepted although frowned upon method due to how those who practice it are viewed both male and female, the reason it is accepted more openly however is due to the mutually beneficial aspect where you swapped yin and yang essence between both parties to enhance then utilized to enhance their Essence Gathering cultivation.

Alright that's enough on that front this one I'll be able to utilize more as I get older not quite the time to focus on that at my age but after I break onto the seen it will likely be the smoothest way for me to reach the peak in terms of Essence Gathering cultivation, which will hasten my rise tremendously. He inwardly thoughts

King began to focus more towards the martial techniques and martial arts he can incorporate into his fighting style as a hybrid even if it is necessary to tamper and fine tune them a bit before implementing it and once doing so he plans to venture back into Dierose Forest for some tempering as well as looking for an elemental spirit or elemental as they were referred to.

He believed this would be the best way to jump start his essence gathering cultivation and maybe even soul cultivation if he found one of a high enough grade, although he could ask his parents generally the best and rarer spirits were still in the wild.

Now as far as martial arts and techniques go I would be better off sticking with striking techniques and movement techniques, perhaps see if I have any light or dark elemental techniques that may work or can be modified to accommodate my status as a hybrid or even enhance and strengthen it. King spent the next few hours shuffling through many more techniques than he even remembers collecting driven by his former and current soul prowess which helped him remember nearly everything as if he still had those techniques with him, at least the ones he had deemed important or used himself well enough to know the inner workings of them and bothered reading to see if it supplemented his fighting style.

He hadn't realized until he was much further in his years while cultivating that although being talented in many thing was beneficial the true top experts excelled in few as opposed to dabbling in many, some of his toughest foes were the ones who knew the fewest techniques and wielded either one or very few weapons exceptionally well, only getting out of there by the skin of his teeth or superior cultivation.

So King decided this time around he would strive to excel in whatever area he decided to delve into while using whatever he had learned prior to supplement his weaknesses or better yet make him more well rounded as a whole.

Actually why not at least check with Mother and Father to see what techniques they have for light and darkness although I have collected quite the catalog Mother at least is from one of the Four Divine Beast Clans I always had the hardest time acquiring any of the higher ranked techniques from them although at my peak I could best the four leaders altogether some of the Formations left behind by their Ancestors were simply unfathomable.

I suppose I should at least go check with them then once more consolidate my choices, then I'll ask them for an extended trip to Dierose Forest to build a sturdy enough foundation in tri cultivation. He inwardly thought
