"Why not just continue training at a similar pace while increasing your battle experience, cultivation, and knowledge gradually here with us, there's no reason to rush into something you will be doing for years to come especially with no definitive goal aside from getting stronger, I fear you may be underestimating what it means to be a cultivator is all.

If it is resources you are wanting we have no shortage of the funds necessary to provide that for you, it's not that I don't want you to go I just feel you're not ready both in your mindset and in your current cultivation base" Vanessa said

"Sweetheart I can understand why you would be reluctant to allow him out into the dangers of the cultivation world at a young age but the longer you try to put it off the worse it will be for his development, the sooner the better especially since you'll have someone watching over him for the more extreme situations.

If you coddle him too much it'll have an adverse effect he'll end up being like those pompous young masters who are nothing without their family name and guards or family members, and I don't believe he is underestimating the cultivation you may be underestimating our son" Dante said

"Mother I understand where you are coming from I haven't lived long nor have I experienced much of the cultivation world yet due to locally even when I was met with difficulties our family name was enough to deter most in regards to low level resources, however as I delve deeper into my cultivation journey eventually my enemies may no longer fear you.

To avoid that I have simply but one other option that will never betray me and that is to become an entity he ingrains fear into them myself, to do that it requires me to experience hardships on my own, including but not limited to acquiring my own resources and often having to face cultivators who're stronger than me without any backing or help" King said

"Absolutely well said son sometimes for a man it is more important to stand your ground and fight for something then to just bow your head and concede it away out of fear, it's not too late to tactically retreat after measuring your opponent's prowess, but always conceding to someone who may seem more powerful than you is a horrible trait to develop especially considering there are several ways to hunt your prey, just because a head on approach may not work doesn't mean there are no alternatives.

Although by no means am I encouraging you to just challenge any and everyone stronger than you with no regards to their strength, knowing when to proceed and when to retreat is an incredibly valuable asset in the cultivation world that has saved me on more than one occasion, which is something you learn to do by gauging your opponents over the years increasing the importance of allowing him to go on this trip" His father said

"This is absolutely unfair the two of you are essentially ganging up on me to allow King to go off on this trip with an unknown time frame in one of the most dangerous locations on this continent at 13 years old I am almost one hundred percent sure anyone else but you two battle maniacs would view this in the same light as me of being too soon.

Although I know changing your mind just like your Father is something you rarely do no matter how stacked the odds may be against you so I'll agree, but only if you adhere to my conditions, if not no deal" His mother said

"So long as they aren't unreasonable conditions I shouldn't have any issues agreeing to them although if it requires me to invest too long of a time period before I become 18 that may be the one thing I can't agree to" King said

"I doubt your Mother would make you do anything unreasonable at worse she'll probably make you stick to your daily routine for a year or two in preparation for you to venture into the true cultivation world" His father said

"That is a part of what I want knowing your personality even with someone shadowing you, you'd still act as you see fit going to the Inner and Core regions of Dierose Forest, while telling Ryan only to interfere if it truly looks as if death would be inevitable otherwise, Firstly want you to reach the 3rd stage in both Essence Gathering and Soul cultivation, I know you are already in the 3rd stage in Body cultivation but that is simply the bare minimum necessary to venture into the Inner region let alone the Core region where 4th and 5th stage beasts run rampant and there's rumored to be even a few 6th stage beasts as well, you'll be better off especially in your foundation and battle experience once you become a 3rd stage tri cultivator becoming much more flexible overall.

Secondly I know you have been broadening your theoretical knowledge when it comes to herbs and alchemy, along with those two I'd like you to become familiar with the bestiary so you know all you can run into within Dierose Forest, once you become a rank 1 or rank 2 alchemist you'll have a solid enough foundation to take care of yourself even if you were to run out of resources along your expedition.

Lastly the techniques and martial arts I pass to you will have to pass a screening by me before I'll let you leave if I don't view it as satisfactory, you can repeat until I deem it so or you could always give up the idea and continue as you have been until the tournament in 5 years, I'll be sparring with you with intent to kill so it will provide the same level of training and tempering as if you went to Dierose Forest if not better since I could fight you in all three forms hybrid, beast, and human" His mother said

'This should be enough with these demands he should realize he would be hard pressed to finish all of them before the 5 years before the tournament is up, if he manages to prove me wrong and actually accomplish all those things then he would have exemplified he has the resolve necessary to become part of the cultivation journey and I should at least be able to stall a couple more years before he goes off on his own, even in the worst case although an 18 year old 3rd stage tri cultivator may not be the mos talented when compared to the Four Divine Beast clans and some of the larger noble families and sects matched with true battle experience and senses it's a phenomenal starting point' Vanessa inwardly thought

"He did just say if your conditions would take up too much of his time he may be unwilling to go along with it, doing any of those things within 5 years would be impressive let alone all three of them, but knowing you doubt you'll budge or compromise on any of those" His father said

"Those all seem fine to me if it's a challenge you want to provide I have no problem proving my resolve, I'll make sure to exceed your expectations to show you just how serious I am about reaching the peak" King said

'Mother is probably expecting those things to take up the entirety of the 5 year period quite shrewd of her but I can only respect it in her eyes I am simply a 13 year old boy with only theoretical surface level knowledge in regards to the harshness of the cultivation world, but this is great for me twofold I can utilize my past experience to accomplish almost everything and the last condition for me is simply a boon being able to fight such an expert will only hasten me reinvigorating my previous experience in this body' King inwardly though

"Honey why all the attacks today although maybe I should be flattered that boundless confidence is what attracted you and kept you around I'd say" His father said while winking

"I dare not say I'm as confident as father his level of confidence borders the line of insanity after all, however I suppose I'd say it's a culmination of the two Mother I understand you're not doing this to harm me you simply want me to be as prepared as possible and truly understand what needs to be done if I want to go off on my own" King said

"Flattery will get you absolutely everywhere young man, and how ironic of you to say such things about your old man when you're just as brazen as me in my youth and now sure everyone dreams or desires to reach the peak but few have the gall to voice those sentiments outwards and just like your old man you've stepped on the line that borders insanity as you coined it" His father said while puffing out his chest proudly

"Pffftt like Father like son I suppose why do I expect anything less when it comes to the two of you, very well if you understand and agree to my conditions I have no problem giving you permission if you truly clear them all" His Mother said while laughing

"Now it's time to determine which techniques and martial arts you want don't you think?" His mother asked
