Of course, big bald Sitwell and his crew couldn't see what was happening.
In their shocked gazes, Spider-Man merely raised his hand to block the blast from the genetic disruptor with ease, leaving him entirely unharmed.
"What?"
"Impossible!!"
Seeing this, Sitwell's face darkened.
"This makes no sense! The genetic disruptor was designed as a lethal weapon against Spider-Man, you can't just—"
Before he could finish, Xia Luo shot a line of webbing, snaring several agents and dragging them forward as the web strands exploded around them.
"Boom!!"
His fist shattered the air, sending tremors through the lab.
In an instant, broken bodies fell to the ground, blood and flesh splattering across Sitwell's face.
Spider-Man's strength had grown terrifying.
Sitwell stared in horror at the red and blue figure approaching him, fear spreading across his face as his legs buckled, sending him sprawling to the floor.
"Y-you! D-don't come any closer, I... Spider-Man's back! He killed our men—someone help me!"
Xia Luo ignored his pleas for help.
He knelt, reaching to pull off Sitwell's earpiece.
"If S.H.I.E.L.D. doesn't have any genetic disruptors, then your bald-headed big shot here is definitely Hydra."
"What?!"
Those words turned every agent's face pale.
"Genetic disruptors? Those are Hydra's genetic weapons."
"How does Sitwell have something like that?"
"What was he doing in the lab?"
"I get it. He was trying to steal Spider-Man's body while Dr. Banner wasn't around!"
"Sitwell's Hydra!"
"Could Dr. Banner's failed experiments be their fault too?"
"It's possible."
The agents pieced it all together in an instant.
Just then, Agent Hill regained her senses first.
"Spider-Man, Dr. Banner has lost control. He's headed downtown."
"Banner? The Hulk?" Xia Luo raised an eyebrow.
The lowly worker had finally erupted.
"Hulk? Who's that?" Agent Hill looked confused.
"Never mind. Leave Dr. Banner to me."
At least a dozen retries would be expected to beat the terrifying Hulk.
Nothing excessive.
Just as Xia Luo finished speaking, a new signal patched into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s system.
"This is Carter. Avengers, assemble. Target: The green giant."
"What?"
"Captain Carter's healed!"
"Thank goodness."
Carter's appearance brought another morale boost to everyone.
In the helicopter, Natasha and Barton let out a breath of relief.
"Looks like things are in hand."
"Yes."
They exchanged glances as a green tail flame streaked past the helicopter.
"It's Harry," Barton noted.
Natasha raised an eyebrow as she watched the figure ahead.
"He must've just restocked his pumpkin bombs."
Barton nodded. "And picked up someone on the way."
Boom~
Above the city, a green glider zipped between skyscrapers.
Onboard, Xia Luo clapped Harry on the shoulder. "Could you hurry it up, expert driver?"
Harry grinned. "No problem."
With that, he cranked the glider to full throttle, green tail flames streaking past glass façades.
"Oh, I see him—S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Avenger!"
"He finally showed up."
Spectators gasped at the sight, but Xia Luo seemed puzzled.
"S.H.I.E.L.D.'s gone public?"
"Yep, just last week. The commander decided to reveal S.H.I.E.L.D.'s existence to the public."
Harry smirked. "During the time you were... gone, residual spider mutants kept stirring up trouble. S.H.I.E.L.D. didn't need to hide anymore to keep the peace."
Xia Luo nodded, then pointed at the green-skinned giant leaping through the air ahead.
"We're here."
"Good luck!"
Harry said, and in the next second, the red-and-blue figure shot forward on a web slingshot.
"Friendly Neighborhood Flying Kick!"
Boom!!
Aaargh!!
With an angry roar, the green giant careened sideways, barreling across a city park.
Crash!!!
The green giant slammed into the ground, plowing through grass until he smashed into the park's central fountain, finally halting.
"Oh my god, what is that monster?"
"Run!!"
"Mommy~"
Whoosh!
The next moment, the red-and-blue figure swung down in front of a crying little girl.
"Open wide."
Before she could react, Xia Luo slipped a lollipop into her mouth.
"Good girl, go play!"
He patted the girl's head and returned her to her mother's arms.
Meanwhile, a chubby kid on the street wailed to the heavens.
"No!! My lollipop! Who did this?!"
"Yes, that's right. I'm your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Ever heard of Spider-Man?"
While the chubby kid looked devastated, Xia Luo had already begun introducing himself to the raging Hulk.
Grrr...
At the shattered fountain, Hulk got to his feet, wiping the water from his face. His breathing grew more feral, his eyes burning with rage.
With fury maxed out, Hulk took a step towards Xia Luo, then another, his pace quickening until he launched himself at Xia Luo like a green missile, roaring.
Thud, thud, thud~
The ground trembled, and Xia Luo spread his arms.
"Seems you haven't heard of Spider-Man's story. But no worries. Just remember to wear some underwear next time, and I'll forgive you."
As Hulk charged forward, Xia Luo shot a line of webbing and swung into the air to dodge the assault.
But before he could soar past the skyscrapers, a massive green hand snatched his ankle.
Suddenly, Loki's tragic image flashed through Xia Luo's mind.
While he wouldn't die, his body and mind would suffer serious trauma.
Quickly, he twisted and shot a barrage of webs, smothering Hulk's huge face.
Aaarrgh!
Momentarily blinded, Hulk panicked, loosening his grip as he tore at the webs.
Before Hulk could regain his sight, Xia Luo twisted mid-air, gripped his web, and hurled with all his might.
Boom!!
With a surge of power, the giant green form flew in an arc, crashing into the lake at the park.
Sploosh!
Water splashed everywhere as the green terror barreled through the lakebed, creating powerful currents.
Splash!
With a mighty leap, Hulk burst back up, seething with even greater strength.
The angrier Hulk got, the stronger he became.
A true bug-level character.
But Xia Luo didn't seem concerned.
Click-click-click~
A tiny spider crawled across his hand, and as its fangs pierced his skin, a dazzling magical energy flooded Xia Luo's body.
He raised his fist!
Titan Body Phase Two, +50 tons of strength!
Venom Mode, +20 tons of strength!
