Renegade Jenny (Pokemon Fanfic)

Policewoman dies upholding her values that have been passed on by her mentor and is reincarnated in the world of Pokémon with no cheats and knowledge of the games or anime but even that had not been that helpful to her in her new duties. After many losses of her Pokémon, many injuries and finally a death, she somehow finds herself back to the time of the officer exams where she received her first Pokémon. Twice engulfed in flames, twice dying for the cause and facing hardships but before her second death, she declared. ‘No more! If I survive this then I will no longer live like this!’ When she awoke, she decided to no longer stick to her principles that were taught to her by her mentor as it only brought her pain and she did not receive what she had earned through her self sacrifice. I do not claim to own Pokémon, its plot or characters but there are some changes I may make to the original story and add my own characters. She bowed slightly before walking towards the door leaving Old P alone with his thoughts. 'If the mother was of the Jenny family then why did she not go to the family for help with this matter?

Her mother did not even tell her husband so it seemed like she wanted him to remain ignorant of such events. Nobody would ever think that she would decide to leave such a matter to her child after she died.

It seems like this matter was of a great importance and very few could be trusted around her, possibly not even her own family. It did not help that the family itself was already quite estranged from the Jenny family.'

He knew that moles and traitors lurked everywhere.

If there was one within the Jenny family then exposing something to the wrong person could put the entire family of Kimi in danger.

If the husband was known to possess some knowledge of anything related to those events then it was likely that he could become a target for elimination or even torture to see if he possessed any knowledge that could help find whatever was lost during that time.

If the people behind such events had high influence then it would be easy for them to know which officer came across the crime scene first and had a slight possibility of hearing something.

It was always possible that whatever was taken from them could have already been taken away by others before she arrived at the crime scene.

If such information was not exposed or passed on by Kimi's mother then it was even less likely that she possessed what was left behind from the dead.

Old P took the device checking it over for any bugs or alterations then left with it in his pocket. 'Now I just have to find out what she had brought me.'

Old P then moved around the city for long enough to make sure he was not being tailed by anyone then when it was confirmed that nobody was following him, he made his way back to the place he was staying at.

Upon arriving back at his current living quarters, he entered a room full of different hardware and set the small device aside.

Once one was turned on, he took out a Pokéball which released Porygon. "Begin checking over this."

He plugged in the small device followed by Porygon entering too as it started to help in his search for there being any bugs or traps being hidden within the data stored.

A green light flashed on his screen which was prompted by Porygon which meant that it was safe.

Seeing that it was safe, he started to gain access to the device and clicked on the icon for to see what was stored on it.

What was shown in front of him was a folder containing several picture and text documents which were numbered and given some code names to better help identify what order they were in or where they would fit. "Haah.. this may take some time."

He had a feeling that whatever Kimi had brought was something that would take up quite a lot of his time.

The documents were opened and he started reading but the more he did so, the more his eyes begin to widen. "Impossible… how could this be. No wonder.."

He saw that many parts belonging to his past and current projects were shown.

It was almost like it was an exact copy with some areas that were more refined and completed.

If Old P had not received it from Kimi then he would have believed that it was all his own work.

He could only conclude that he alone was not the only person to be working on such things during his many years of hiding and that it was very likely that others had been furthering the things he left behind.

The advancements in the research had shown him the correct path forward but it also showed that there were many traces of himself within it.

Many ways of analysis and other habits during research were added to it which could only describe it as being something that was done by himself or was heavily influenced by himself.

Anger overtook him and his hands balled up into fists. "Betrayal of their comrades was not enough but to steal my life's work for your own gain.."

If it had not been for the sudden betrayal and having to go into hiding after suffering several losses then he would never have left his work behind.

Unfortunately he could not take the risk to retrieve or destroy anything of great importance.

Old P started to blame himself a little since he felt that whatever series of events took place had probably started from him and possibly got Kimi and her mother caught up in it.

His gaze turned towards the names written on the research but several were redacted while his own still remained which further confirmed that he had been involved in the process of creation at some point. 'This is what it means to have a great difference in resources and manpower..'

While he was very angry that his worked was being used by some other or had been in the past, he couldn't help but marvel at the advancements that had been made.

The person working on it had to be someone kind of well known genius unless there was a decent enough team formed to be able to make such great strides in areas he had not completed yet.

His creativity was beginning to be ignited by what he was looking over and his spark for further exploration into such topics was relit.

Another thought suddenly came to mind. 'Is this all part of this young girls plan? Is that why she is taking such a path? To help me get to the bottom of this and help to fund our future actions?'

Another thought came to mind. 'For someone like her who has inherited her mother's distrust of the higher ups, it is only right that she would not follow in her families footsteps to become an officer.

The only way to solve such a problem was to find me or let it all go by destroying every trace of it. If she went as far as passing it on then that could have been it and she could have went on with her life afterwards.

Her choice however was to see it through to the end so it is quite admirable that she can make such a life choice at a young age. The more she is exposed to the darkness of this world, the more she will face great struggles that could threaten to destroy her.'

He let out a sigh after thinking over the fact that Kimi may be unlike other children he had met but there were many things that could cause her to break down mentally and physically.

Unfortunately he could not prevent her from entering such a lifestyle since Kimi was stubborn and would not be told otherwise.

Her mind was made up so he had decided that he would do his best to support her. 'Whatever it is you want to do.. so long you do not let this world corrupt you then I will support you. If you want to use this method to pass on parts like this then I accept that too.'

He saw her method as something praiseworthy and even he would have to take some time to understand and perfect everything he gained so far which meant that there was no rush to receive it all.
