Chaos

The next few days passed and the energy level continued to slowly increase until one day.

"Doctors at Dar Al Fouad hospital, Egypt, have confirmed that a new virus has surfaced-"

"It is estimated that half the global population all over the world have suddenly gotten struck by fevers. Govournments are recommending staying at home since the hospitals are too full-"

"Everyone should isolate themselves and especially the sick! Until new information comes to light-"

"People are panicking, we can only pray that the sickness isn't deadly-"

"We have gathered outside Anders Erikssons house in search for answers-"

"Much like swedish bodybuilder Anders Eriksson, along with many other famous chairmen and celebrities, predicted, a global pandemic has descended upon us. Doomsday groups have started appearing all over the globe and people are taking it upon themselves to kill those infected by it. The streets are in total anarchy. It is highly reccomended to stay at home until things have settled. God help us."

It has started. It wasn't nearly as bad in my original timeline though. I really can't understand why Anders would tell people about this, the result would obviously just result in widespread fear and panic which in turn will result in rash action. Either way it doesn't effect me or jon since we are sitting comfortably on my couch. What about Alice you might ask? Well, she wanted to be with her family in case I wasn't just bullshitting.

What about our families? Fuck em'. Don't get me wrong, we aren't heartless. It's just that niether of us has a family worth saving. In fact, I have noone worth saving except for Jon.

"From this day forward, all our ties to the past world will be cut. If I ever meet anyone I knew from before this they will be a stranger."

I smile back at him. "Of course not."

"Do you remember the plan?"

"Tomorrow when all the zombies turn we're going to rush into the police station, grab all the guns and bring them back to our place.-"

Yep, I'm sure as hell not going to be part of a beating-the-local-tyrant arc. In the early stages firearms are still deadly so we're gonna remove the problem before it even comes up. What's that? My actions are going to result in the deaths of thousands of civilians? None of my concern! As the saying goes- can't have shit in detroit! I'm just reinforcing it. I mean we live in Brussel but who cares about the small details anyway.

Yup, that's right. We're using the bats instead of the guns. Why? Because the zombies in the beggining are easily killable by bats alone and it's good to get some practical experience with them. especially since guns are going to be useless in the future.
