Killing a high-class devil gave me 1820 experience points, which led me to climb the first 20 levels of strokes. This is crazy.
Huh?
I can feel another presence, and it's a little more powerful than the devil.
Is this [Presence Detection: Lv 2]?
Shit.
It's coming from inside the Shrine.
I have to hurry, there are Akeno and Shuri. They are the real target of the killers.
I thought I was done with everyone. But if you think about it, it makes sense.
The presence I'm detecting has the same Ki as the fallen angels, so I guess he's one of them.
There were two groups, one of the fallen angels and one of the devils. Each with a subleader and a leader, so it stands to reason that there is still a leader of the fallen angel group.
I can't go in to help right now just because I'm too big, my height is higher than the Shrine.
I can use [Art of Human Transformation], but my help would be practically useless.
---------------------------
Strength: 150
Defense: 125
Magic: 150
Agility: 200
---------------------------
And using Touki would be like this.
---------------------------
Strength: 150 + 45 = 195
Defense: 125 + 37.5 = 162.5
Magic: 150 + 45 = 195
Agility: 200 + 60 = 260
---------------------------
Unlike in my dragon form, my agility is most outstanding in my human form. Using Touki, I'm much faster than in my dragon form.
Someday I should try using Touki in my dragon form.
With those statistics in my human form, I could hardly fight the previous devil, and I would surely lose.
Considering that the Ki I am sensing is so much more powerful, I have no chance of doing anything. Perhaps it is even a nuisance to Kuroka, who is fighting it.
But it doesn't make sense, Kuroka should be able to overwhelm him with her magic.
Kuroka's stats are at the level of the devil I've killed except in agility and magic, where she has the level of an Ultimate-Class. That's why Kuroka shouldn't have as much trouble finishing off a fallen angel of that level.
Unless...
Yeah, I get it.
First of all, Kuroka isn't a pure youkai, since she's a reincarnated devil. The holy attribute of the fallen angel is very harmful to her, so she must be careful with that.
On the other hand, she must protect Shuri, Akeno, and Raynare.
From what I have seen these last few days, Shuri can defend herself from a group of low-class Devils and could even kill a mid-class devil. But so far, she can't do much more.
Let's remember that her strength is the purification of spirits and that she hasn't practised her skills for over 10 years. Having Barakiel as a husband, a man with a strength comparable to the original Satans can make you very relaxed, even knowing that there is danger.
Akeno is very young, but she has considerable power. She could more or less defend herself against a small group of low-class Devils, but she can do no more. She can only use her Holy Lighting twice a day, and yet that attack of hers is still very weak.
Raynare, with Barakiel's training, has improved quite a bit. But she is still a two-winged fallen angel, although I think she is close to ascending to all four wings.
I deduce that this fallen angel has six wings, so she has overwhelming power in front of these three girls. Only Kuroka can cope.
What can I do to help Kuroka?
Of course, I can.
Come to think of it, Kuroka doesn't need my help to defeat that fallen angel. She needs to ease the burden of the other three women, and I can do that perfectly.
[Sage], transform me into a human.
[All right]
This time I didn't even feel pain when I transformed, which is a relief.
"[Gandiva]"
Under my call, the bow flies to me. When I pick it up, I instantly put it in the [Fate System].
Okay, now I just have to get in there and get the three women out.
I feel a little bit uncomfortable, but I don't know why it is.
Running inside the house, I realize I've grown. I don't know how much, though.
Kuroka and the rest were in the backyard the last time I saw them, so I guess they're still like that. I just have to follow Ki's trail in the air to get there, though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Upon arrival at the site, I can see the reason why Kuroka was unable to defeat the fallen angel.
Kuroka is wrapping a barrier around her and the others. Dozens of light lances are trying to press against her from various angles.
A middle-aged fallen angel is flying over a few feet inside the courtyard, smiling mockingly as she crosses her arms.
Three pairs of wings are to blame for the levitation of this one.
"Come on, my niece! Why haven't you killed those women yet?" cries the fallen angel.
I don't understand what's going on, who's whose niece?
"I am not your niece! I will never listen to those who caused my parents' death!"
This seems like a tasteless family drama, though no wonder it was Raynare who yelled at him again.
I am surprised, I will not deny it, but I doubt Kuroka's uncle is a fallen angel, much less Shuri. Besides, I think all first-generation angels are brothers, but they've never been called that.
I mean, Akeno has never called Azazel an uncle, nor has he addressed her as his niece in any of the 21 volumes of Highschool DxD that I have read. Besides, this guy doesn't seem like a first-generation fallen angel.
