"Sawyer, why are you still awake?" Rylie exclaimed, standing up in panic, wanting to approach Sawyer but suddenly stopping herself.
Sawyer saw her reaction, Sawyer's face showed a hint of pain. "Mom... No... I don't have the right to call you that anymore. Am I really not your daughter?"
Ryan furrowed his brows slightly.
"Sawyer, don't worry. The White family won't abandon you," Ryan said softly.
Sawyer shook her head as if immersed in great sorrow. "Dad, if she is your daughter, then what am I?"
Rylie's face showed reluctance as she saw Sawyer cry. Sawyer was the daughter she had raised for ten years. Rylie was usually hesitant to speak harsh words, so how could she bear to see Sawyer so sad and tearful?
Rylie shifted her pleading gaze to Ryan.
Ryan sighed and said, "Don't worry. Whether it was a mistake or not, you are still my daughter in the White family. That will never change."
