The Assassin's Guild!!

Currently, Link's routine consisted of buying as much materials as he could from the Magic Shop and setting all of them up in the Craftsmanship Tab, letting them craft for as long as they liked while he entered a dungeon.

Link did not understand the rules of dungeon creation, as every time he used Dungeon Search, it always successfully found a dungeon for him. "Is this Kingdom swarming with dungeons? Does it rely on people or something else?" Link thought to himself.

That day, when Link went to purchase the usual materials, he bought new things. A book and some Mana Crystals.

The book was named 'Mana Accumulation' and it was created by the research institute of the mage's guild. The latest book available.

People in this world, similar to earth are always looking for easier and better ways to do things and the same goes to finding the most proficient way to accumulate Mana and elemental energies. Link brought the book and crystals home and gave it to his family.

Link thought that if he was going to teach Lisa, he might as well teach everyone. For the moment, all they have to do is meditate once a day for 4 hours until they have a breakthrough into the first mage level, only then would he start providing spells and training with the usual meditation.

At the moment, Link could do nothing to help them as it all depended on their talent, so he went back to doing his usual routine. Dungeons were easily conquered by him, while at the same time, the number of Scrolls he kept selling made him a fortune.

For every dungeon, Link would come out with precious rewards and benefits. He received countless weapons and armor, beast souls and Beast Cores…

With the Magic Shop in the kingdom, Link sold all the useless Beast Souls and items, keeping only the Beast Cores to consume. He sold mostly every beast soul, keeping only two Level 5 advanced beast souls. A Tattoo type and a Halo type.

The Tattoo beast soul belonged to an armored type creature called the Enchanted Earth Golem. When activated, a black tattoo would cover his chest and back, making his skin as hard as metal.

The Halo type beast soul provided Link with a certain amount of immunity against fire attacks, as the beast soul belonged to a creature called the firebird.

The items and beast souls were not the things that Link was mostly excited about, as whenever he opened his status screen, a huge grin would appear on his face.

Experience was the only thing that never stopped coming. It was either from the Scrolls being used or the dungeons and creatures he never stopped killing. His Mana increased to a shocking height while the skills he got from the Cores were mostly useless, but they earned Link a good number of Skill Points when sold.

Using all his Skill Points, Link went into a level up spree, as he maxed all of his skills. Some even evolved.

With the Skills becoming stronger, Link's scrolls became more powerful as well. More and more people came to him to purchase his well known creations. He became the go to for efficient and powerful Magical scrolls, which lit the ire of many merchants.

Threats were nothing to Link, as he would now send Thaya and Zasho to pick up his mother and sisters whenever he was busy. Zasho now was a Level 6 Intermediate beast, as he leveled up from all corpses Link brought back with him from his dungeon dives. Unfortunately though, he did not acquire a new skill. Thaya was as silent as always, but her skills were not something mere thugs and hired muscle could do anything against.

Whenever the Beast Souls were in a fight, Link could feel it, and if they were in any danger or something happened, he would be able to instantly teleport to them. Although such a situation never happened as they always managed to take care of whoever tried anything.

Having his family targeted by the jealous merchants wasn't something Link was going to let go, even if all their tries were failures, he still couldn't let such people go easily.

Thugs and hired muscle are the worst kind to hire for jobs like that, as they had no loyalty towards their clients. It did not take long for Link to have them spill the beans on the people that hired them, and he even got some precious information as well.

It was not only one merchant, but a group of them. After seeing the thugs and so on fail every time, they started contacting a dangerous group. The assassin's guild. Link learned that this was one of the most dangerous guilds in the underworld. As they not only had the skill, but the support and funding of many nobles. "I can't risk this!" Link said. He couldn't let these kinds of people come after him. He had no idea how strong they were or the number they'd send. This unknown and the rumors and stories Link heard made him want to cut the root before it starts to grow.

The merchants that were going this far were the ones most affected by Link's business. It did not take him long to find and assassinate each one of them. With his Blink and Recollection skills, he went in and out without leaving a trace. Especially after using his new Shadow Dive and Ambush skills. "That should be taken care of now!" Link thought as he went to sleep.

"Shut up!"

A week later..

"Sir, the clients appeared to have been killed!" A man entered a deteriorating room. "The Guards investigated but nothing came up, should we proceed with the request?"

"We've been paid in full, of course we will. Our guild's reputation is on the line after all." A man with his face covered spoke, cleaning a dagger.

"Yes sir"

"I'm so close to Level 10, I can smell It" Link yelled as he picked up a Beast Core from a giant Wyvern corpse.

Link left the Dungeon and appeared inside his room like usual. "Something is off!" He thought, focusing on his Psight.

WOSH!

Link moved, and in an instant, he activated all his stealth, speed and area skills.

"Heavy Strike!" Adding 100 000 Mana Points, Link struck.

This whole process did not even last a second, before he swung his arm at a corner.

BOOM!

The house was torn to pieces, as the clouds in the sky parted from the intensity of the attack. "DAMN IT!" A voice yelled "WHERE DID HE COME FROM!"

The first thing Link noticed when he came back, was the odd smell of blood in the air. He was probably the only human that had that sharp of a nose, and with his Psight, he saw something that made his eyes widen and his blood boil. His eyes became dark and eerie.

Samuel, Sal and Robart were beaten and bleeding all over. Their bodies laid on the first floor of the house, while Link detected 10 people hiding in the shadows.

"I'm gonna kill all of you!" Link's anger was nauseating, but luckily he still had some control over it or he would have destroyed the whole street, aiming at the people downstairs instead of up. 2 people were hiding in his room, but they no longer existed, as their bodies were turned into nothing.
