Confrontation!

The factions are similar to a guild, but not quite like one. In each Guild, factions exist. They are a group of people with the same belief, backing, race or goals.

Link wasn't interested in these things and had no plans in joining one, even though the concept of having people backing you up sounds nice, you would also have some level of backing, you would have to bear some of the faction's responsibilities.

Link didn't want that, he didn't even have any plans in joining a guild, let alone a faction. The adventurer's guild is the only one he didn't mind signing up to since their members are free to do as they wished.

After completing the Alchemy books, Link bought a small empty potion bottle, some plants and left. Heading straight back home. As expected, the same people were still following him and even stayed outside his home all day.

"When are they gonna leave?" He thought, keeping them in his Psight radius.

Anny, Lisa and Rena came back home and each left to do their thing. Link sat in the kitchen, where a pot with boiling water was in front of him. "Alright!" He muttered, throwing in a blue rose with three heads.

Tcht!

Blue smoke filled the air as Link started channeling mana into it. "Come on! Condense!" He muttered.

What he was making was a lesser Mana potion, which was easy for people with good Mana control. A minute after the smoke covered the pot, it started calming down, slowly dissipating.

"Yes!" Link punched the air in celebration as he looked into it. What sat there was a small amount of blue liquid. The pot that was filled with water and the plant he threw in were bigger in size compared to the amount that was in there now.

Lifting the pot, Link carefully poured the whole thing into the small potion bottle, completing his first mana potion.

As Link expected. The greyed out picture of a potion now had color. Letting him know that he can finally craft potions easily.

Upon opening it, Link was faced with what he expected. There were slots for the materials and another where the completed potion will appear. All set on a transparent picture of a cauldron.

"Alright, now i can make my own potions" Link smiled, but that smile did not stay for long as he noticed the assassins that were watching him move. "Here we go" Link muttered, teleporting outside into an alley.

Link activated all his stealth skills and followed them as they ran and jumped from roof to roof.

After some time had passed, Link found himself in a poor looking area where the people living there dressed in rags and torn clothing while the housing's conditions were awful. "I guess we got lucky with our area" Link thought to himself.

The assassins jumped inside a building. Link could tell that it probably used to be some sort or tavern with the door and sign outside. He followed as they headed down a flight of stairs and unlocked a metal door with some sort of rune.

"Are you here to report?" A man spoke from inside the room. It was the leader.

"Yes sir" One of the assassins stepped forward and started talking. Telling the man in detail what Link did all day.

"I would have said good work…" The man looked to the left, where there was nothing but a broken table and dust. "If you idiots haven't been followed. Show yourself!"

The assassins looked at where their leader was looking, seeing a dark figure slowly revealing himself, until they saw a familiar face. It was Link.

"Yo!" Link said, winking at the group of assassins. "I've never had fans before, so I was curious as to who they were" He said, walking forward. The assassins pulled out their knives and took a fighting stance."Stop!" The leader put his hand up and blocked them. "You guys are not his match"

"Who the hell is this kid?" The leader thought. Assassins are the masters of stealth and deception. They have to watch and properly study their victims before making a move, which made them experts in reading people. Link managed to even slip through the leader's detection, even though he took pride in his stealth skills, and not only that, but the moment he saw Link, his whole body shivered. "He's not simple" He thought.

"Well, i came here to ask you guys nicely to stop sniffing around my family" Link said "I don't want any more problems. The merchants that paid you people died, so the mission should have been aborted, right?"

"They did pay and sign the contract. Their deaths does not matter to us" The leader spoke, pulling out his daggers. Link looked at the two daggers in his hands and wondered. "Maybe i should dual wield too"

Wosh!

Like a shadow, the leader appeared in front of Link and slashed at his neck.

Ding!

A dagger appeared, blocking the attack with ease. Link looked at the man in the eyes as they collided and said "This is your last chance!"

The leader heard everything clearly and jumped back, sensing an odd and dominating mana. "What the hell?" He muttered. They both stopped, looking at each other for a while. The leader's hand was shaking a little, as his whole arm felt numb.

"We're retreating!" He yelled out. His followers were baffled for a bit but followed after him without saying anything. "He's a peak Level 3 mage! We'll all die!"

It was morning, and Link was excited as he could finally start going into dungeons again. He had breakfast and went back to his room. "Yosh!" He said, opening the craftsmanship tab.

After a couple of minutes, Link had a disappointed look on his face as he discovered that he could not use both options. He could either pick Alchemy or Scroll crafting to let it automatically craft as he fought. "We'll go with Potions then, for now" He said "Search Dungeon!"
