The Puny God

Goten and Trunks were flying towards Zamasu and Black when a dazzling ray of light halted their advance. At this moment, Trunks and Krillin found themselves unable to sense Zamasu's energy. However, Goten, having mastered Ultra Ego, could perceive it clearly.

"What was that light just now? Did it emanate from Black?" Krillin quickly turned to Goten, his voice laced with uncertainty. He couldn't sense Black's ki anymore, and an uneasy feeling gnawed at him.

Trunks shared Krillin's confusion. Every time he had encountered Black, the ki aura surrounding him had been pitch black. Why was the light now white? It was as if a sun had suddenly illuminated the dim earth.

"We'll find out soon," Goten replied succinctly. He was certain that Zamasu and Black had fused. Perhaps sensing Goten's formidable power, they had chosen not to risk a solo battle. They had spent a considerable amount of time devising their Zero Mortals Plan, and they wouldn't want any mishaps.

Suddenly, a silver-white light began to ascend nearby. "Go! Let's go and have a look," Goten commanded, leading the way with Krillin and Trunks following closely. They quickly arrived at the source of the light, where the figure of Fused Zamasu now stood.

"What the hell is going on here? Who is this guy? Why have I never seen him before?" Trunks stared at the figure before him, his voice filled with dread. Fused Zamasu's body radiated a dazzling aura, and the divine ki was rapidly expanding around him.

"I can't sense any ki from him!" Krillin exclaimed, his brow furrowed in concentration. "But this overwhelming sense of oppression is too strong. Who the hell is this guy?" There was no doubt that this newcomer possessed power that far surpassed his own. His hairstyle was identical to Goku's when he transformed into a Super Saiyan.

"Hahaha! Mortals, tremble before this power that surpasses your wildest imagination! Kneel and worship me! I am Zamasu, the most powerful god with immortality, born from the fusion of an infinitely improved body and an immortal one." Zamasu spread his arms wide, a self-satisfied smirk on his face. As his words echoed in the air, the radiant energy surrounding him transformed into a silver-white halo.

"Damn it!! I don't know what's going on with you, but I won't let you continue destroying the earth," Trunks declared, drawing his sword and transforming into Super Saiyan II before charging at Zamasu.

"Foolish and ignorant bug, haven't you realized the gap between us? Do you still dare to resist a god? Mortals are always so stupid and arrogant. Accept the punishment and judgment of the strongest god!" Zamasu retorted, releasing purple lightning from his silver halo. The bolts struck at Trunks, Goten, and Krillin simultaneously.

Krillin and Trunks were instantly repelled by the purple lightning. Their power hadn't reached the level of Super Saiyan God, and the fused Zamasu before them had already far surpassed this level. Goten, however, remained unmoved, completely disregarding the attack. His current physical strength meant that this level of offense posed no threat to him.

Zamasu turned his gaze to Goten, his face devoid of fear. "Goten, I must admit that you possess power beyond that of a god. This is the failure of the gods. They allowed the beings they created to possess power beyond their own. But soon, I will rectify the gods' mistakes and let the light of justice shine on this land. Wherever this divine light goes, you filthy creatures will all disappear." Zamasu spread his arms wide, looking down at Goten, seemingly having forgotten the time when Goten had nearly defeated him.

"You've been spouting a lot of nonsense. If you have any abilities, show them to me," Goten retorted, his voice icy.

Even with Zamasu's fusion, Goten remained unfazed. The only thing that troubled him was Zamasu's immortal body. However, the potency of this immortality had significantly diminished after Zamasu's fusion with Black.

"Pathetic creature, can't you see the chasm between us?" Zamasu taunted. "In the presence of the mightiest god, you're nothing more than a bug waiting to be squashed. Prepare to receive the baptism of light!"

As Zamasu's irate voice echoed, a burst of purple energy erupted from the halo behind him. "Absolute Lightening!" he declared, as a python-like bolt of purple lightning blasted towards Goten.

Goten didn't evade; he allowed the lightning to strike him. He knew well that such attacks couldn't harm him in the slightest. After all, his body contained cells from Majin Buu. Even if he were reduced to dust, he could easily regenerate.

The purple lightning engulfed Goten entirely. But when it dissipated, Goten stood unscathed. The lightning hadn't affected him at all, not even pushing him back half a step.

"What!?" Zamasu's face betrayed his panic. His 'Absolute Lightening' could easily annihilate ordinary gods, yet it had no effect on Goten.

"Is this the power of the so-called strongest god?" Goten mocked. "It doesn't even tickle. Now, let me show you what true power is."

Goten lightly patted his chest, his tone calm, his eyes serious. If he wanted to eradicate Zamasu completely, he needed to transform into the Legendary Super Saiyan.

It would be too easy, too cheap, to destroy Zamasu without showing his full strength. He needed to crush Zamasu's arrogance and self-righteousness, to make him realize his own weakness.

Haa!!!

A deep roar erupted from Goten's throat, and an unparalleled, terrifying power surged from his body. The vibrant-green ki aura around him slapped against the surrounding air, sending ripples of energy in all directions. The world changed color under the glow of the green aura flames, turning the entire sky and earth green. Golden lightning bolts, like giant pythons, descended from the sky.

"Is this… is this Goten's true strength?" Trunks was taken aback. "It's unbelievable. What kind of training did he undergo to enhance his strength to this level?"

"Goten is always full of surprises," Krillin said proudly. "Every time he transforms, his strength improves dramatically."

"But why is the ki aura around Goten's body green?" Trunks asked. "I remember that other Saiyans' ki auras turn golden when they become Super Saiyans."

"That's what makes Goten unique," Krillin replied vaguely. "He's completely different from other Saiyans after transforming. You'll see soon."

"No… impossible!!" Zamasu was dumbstruck. "How did that little devil's ki become so powerful? It's just a filthy mortal, as weak as an ant. Why did he gain such powerful power? This is definitely the greatest humiliation to God!!"

Just as everyone was reeling from the shock, Goten completed his transformation. The vibrant-green aura flames around him rustled, and golden arcs flickered around his body like small snakes. His hair turned green, and his pupils turned golden. At this moment, Goten had transformed into the Legendary Super Saiyan.

To completely crush Zamasu's self-confidence, Goten had to display his full strength. He had to render Zamasu helpless. After transforming into Super Saiyan II, Goten raised his head and glanced at the panicked Zamasu.

"Zamasu, look at your expression. Are you scared?" Goten taunted coldly. "It's ridiculous to be afraid of an ant, as you put it. It seems that you, the most powerful god, aren't what you tout yourself to be."

Hearing Goten's ridicule, Zamasu seethed with fury.

"Ants! Don't presume that a little power gives you the right to arrogance," Zamasu growled, his voice echoing with anger. "God is an existence you can never surpass. I will use your blood to affirm this eternal truth."

Despite the fear that Goten's power instilled in him, Zamasu was confident. With an immortal body and the ultimate form, defeat was an impossibility. He would continue to evolve in battle until he completely annihilated his opponent.

In an instant, Zamasu's body materialized before Goten. He launched a punch, knowing that the energy attack from earlier had no effect on Goten, so now, it was time for close combat.

As Zamasu's fist swung forward, Goten met it with a punch of his own. The moment their fists collided, a terrifying shockwave radiated in all directions, reducing the city ruins beneath their feet to dust. A massive sinkhole began to spread rapidly across the ground, causing the already dilapidated earth to crumble further.

"Krillin, I'm going to check on the survivors," Trunks announced, sensing the intensity of the battle between Goten and Zamasu. He knew that if the fight continued in this manner, the earth would be destroyed, and the remaining survivors would perish. His resolve to protect the earth compelled him to rescue those people first.

"Good!" Krillin responded quickly, nodding in agreement.

And at this moment.

In the aftermath of their punch collision, Zamasu's body was blasted thousands of feet away. His entire arm went numb.

A crisp cracking sound echoed behind him, and he saw cracks forming on his halo. With the final crack, it disintegrated into specks of starlight. Goten had shattered Zamasu's halo with a single punch.

"Filthy ants! Unforgivable! Absolutely unforgivable!" Zamasu roared like a beast, his halo's destruction a source of immense shame. Only by exterminating the ant before him could he cleanse this disgrace.

But before he could act, Goten transformed into a bolt of green lightning. In a blink, he was before Zamasu, landing a hard right hook on Zamasu's face, instantly deforming it.

"Good job, Goten! That's it, take down that demon!" Krillin cheered excitedly. He had initially thought Zamasu was formidable, but now he seemed helpless before Goten. He was no match for Goten's power and was unable to fight back.

Goten's speed was extraordinary, and he kicked Zamasu around like a ball. Zamasu was powerless to retaliate. The endless humiliation he felt was more unbearable than death itself.

With another punch to Zamasu's head, Goten sent him crashing into the ground like a meteorite. Zamasu immediately stood up. Goten had to admit, Zamasu's immortal body was indeed troublesome. If not for his immortality, Goten's previous attack would have obliterated him.

"Enough!" Zamasu roared, fury etched on his face. "Damned ants, I am the most powerful immortal god. There should be a limit to your audacity!"

But as his voice faded, Goten grabbed his ankle and began to smash him on the ground left and right.

"Heh! Puny god," Goten taunted.
