Reunion

Finally seeing her family, Eunice with tears streaming from her already puffy eyes, ran and crash in her mother's arms. Emily is no better so it didn't come out as odd to the onlookers when Eunice cried hysterically. Only the Lins are a bit surprised. Ever since young, she is not someone who would cry easily. In their memory her older brother Eugene cried more compared to her. Plus every two to three months her family will visit her, although most of the time it was just her mother, so she shouldn't miss them that much. They all were even there in her graduation two weeks ago. Therefore their thoughts made a dark turn and suspected that she suffered something horrendous on the short period they hadn't met.

Madame Lin, Meridith Han, Eunice's mother hugged her daughter back and soothingly rubbed her on the back to calm her down. "My baby what is it? Did something happen?" Madame Lin said with deep worry and concern in her voice. She panicked when Eunice even cried harder the more she tried to console her. Madame Lin helplessly gave her husband a pleading look. Feeling at loss on what to do to calm their daughter down.

However, Harold Lin, Eunice's father, is far from calm himself being an overprotective father as he is. "Who was it?! Did someone bully you? Baby tell your dad. Whoever is it, I will hunt them to the ends of the earth!" He bellowed earning the attention of everyone in the airport. Almost everyone who is not in a rush slowed down in curiosity hoping to hear some juicy story.

Realizing that her reaction is unusual and excessive, Eunice took several deep breaths to calm her surging emotion. She didn't mean to aggitate her parents. So she tried to act normal to avoid suspicion. After all there is no way for her to explain what had happened to her. They might even take her to a psychologist. "No mom, dad. I was not bullied. I just miss you all so much. Oddly it feels different when you visit me compare to finally coming home myself. And thinking that I won't have to leave again this time, I can't help but feel emotional." Eunice placated while hugging both of her parents.

"Hmp! Who was it that insisted on studying abroad despite the fact that our country's education system is not inferior to theirs? See! All you got is homesickness!" Beside her father, a masked and capped man interjected. Despite being all covered up, Eunice is still able to recognize her older brother Eugene Lin. He is wearing a disguise because he is a famous singer and musician. And currently he is the hottest male celebrity so his fans are everywhere. But despite the risk of being mobbed he would never miss out the arrival of his baby sister. Especially because compared to her mother and even his father who had to manage a huge business, he had fewer chance of visiting her during her studies.

Eunice gave her brother a loving gaze. The scene of their last meeting in her previous life flash before her. That was the day after she had a huge and the last argument with her parents. He apologize on their behalf for the hurtful words they said and also told her to also apologize. That time he didn't specifically ask her to cancel her marriage but he begged her to not ruin their relationship as a family. That was the first time she saw her brother cry desperately ever since they became adults. At that time he is already twenty seven but he cried like a seven year old.

However, she coldheartedly brush him off thinking that although he didn't say it word for word, in order to not ruin their family her only choice is to give up on Zach and their marriage. She even accuse him of favoring Alice more than her. That he regards her more like a sister than her. After all they only less than a year apart in age with Alice as a perfect older sister. Plus they are both musically inclined. They understand each other more. But the truth was he really did gave up on convincing her. He just doesn't want them to be estrange.

With guilty feelings, Eunice hugged her brother tight. "I'm sorry big brother. I promise iI won't make you cry again." She said to Eugene seriously.

But Eugene thought she is teasing him. "What?! I didn't cry. Why would I cry? Stop pranking me. They might think it's true. That's embarrassing." He rebuked with his voice getting lower and lower until it sounded hoarse like he is about to cry. And although his face is covered, everyone can see his embarrassment from his red ears.

Feeling herself getting choked with her surging emotions again she just teased her brother for real this time. "Yes, yes. You never cried. Our family's celebrity is a big boy now."

"You! Eunice Lin, you have become bad! I prepared a welcoming gift for you but now I changed my mind. You will not get anything from this big celebrity." Eugene teased back.

Eunice's pupils dilated briefly hearing about the gift. She already knew what it is. It is a blue car manufactured by LuMin Automobiles. One of LuMin Conglomerate's subsidiary company. Her brother is the spokesperson of their automobiles so he also have the priviledge to own their car few months before it is released to the public. But instead of choosing a his favorite red colored one and using it for himself, he requested a blue model and gifted it to her because she loves the blue color.

That car is really futuristic and fully automated. It also have a self driving mechanism equipped with GPS and voice controlled. It is also fingerprint locked and you can only start it with an iris scan. It is also advantageous to busy people because you can call anyone while driving by voice command. What made Eugene decide to gift the car to her is its safety guarantee. Aside from an airbag, it has emergency stop if it detects collision. And in case of unexpected circumstances or accidents it will send signal of its location to the nearest hospital or police station. So the response should be fast.

But that same car was what Eunice used during that accident. Now that she think about it, the damaged breaks is really suspicious. Because after entering the car, the system will automatically give a report of the car's condition. If there is any serious problem, the car will not start. And a damaged break is obviously a serious matter. Plus she also remembered that it still took some time before she finally died. She was even able to reflect oh her life. But no rescue arrived. Given that maybe she is so unfortunate that no passerby helped her call an ambulance. It shouldn't take that long for help to arrive.

Recalling these details, she finally realized a crucial truth. 'She was murdered! How did they tamper her car? But by who? Alice? Can she really go that far?' Many thoughts swirled in her mind making her paler and paler by the minute.
