Being cursed by Agatha in a furious tone, Lawrence kept his cool and nodded his head.
Stopping the resemblance act, Lawrence was reassured that Agatha was able to invoke such powerful emotion.
However, if she thought that was the end of his provocation, then she couldn't be any more wrong.
"Agatha, you called me a motherfucker, but I don't think I have done it with your mother. So aren't you implying that I should do something?" Lawrence questioned her with an innocent tone, going as far as scratching his head to make a convincing act of him being ignorant.
Agatha was livid when she realized how much she had underestimated Lawrence. Not only was he despicable, but he was beyond shameless and unscrupulous in his behavior.
How could the world be so unfair to let this kind of man be a noble?
He was practically worse than the pigs in the barn.
Meanwhile, Lawrence was joyful inwardly now that Agatha was filled with such powerful emotion.
Without hesitation, he directly shoved the glass container in her mouth.
Agatha's eyes were wide open, clearly astonished by the sudden act of Lawrence. The purpled-color liquid substance was rapidly entering her throat, and she was about to puke from the forceful chugging.
Not to mention, the taste was just as terrible as the smell it had emitted. It tasted even worse than some liquid medicine or the most bitter things you have ever tasted.
However, Agatha didn't dare to block off the bitter liquid substance from entering her throat.
And why is that?
Naturally, it was because of Lawrence's threat.
"Drink it all in one go. If you spill even a tiny drop, then the deal is off." Lawrence warned coldly.
With all the fury that was built up, Agatha mustered all of her strength and consumed the Aetherforge Elixir in one go.
Seeing that she didn't drop any, Lawrence was relieved that all of his provocation and plan succeeded without any hiccups.
To be fair, one of the main reasons why the Aetherforge Elixir wasn't popular until later on when the effects were proven, was the disgusting taste of it.
The bitter taste was so bad that almost all first-attempt consumers usually resulted in them wasting half of the liquid.
Hence, Lawrence could only use such an unorthodox and vulgar manner to ensure Agatha was willing to consume it all despite the horrible taste.
Now that Agatha had fully consumed it, Lawrence subsequently released her from his mana, allowing her to begin enduring the effect of the Aetherforge Elixir.
Upon the release, Agatha promptly dropped to the ground, coughing repeatedly. There was grief and fury mixed in her expression as she glared angrily at Lawrence.
"Save that glare for later on." Lawrence calmly said. "I doubt you have much time to be glaring when your body should experience a change soon."
Right when Lawrence finished his sentence, Agatha instantly felt her body churning, seemingly in pain.
Clutching tightly on her stomach, Agatha questioned him, "What did you make me drink?"
Her body trembled heavily and her eyes seemed to be getting dizzier, almost as if she could lose consciousness at any time.
"Oh, if you lose consciousness, then I think I might really do something terrible to your mother." Lawrence clasped his hands and warned deviously.
Sure enough, after hearing Lawrence's insidious intention, Agatha clenched her fist and began withstanding the incoming pain. The pain was excruciating, but she gnashed her teeth and endured it.
Anger was one powerful emotion. It was capable of invoking a person to exceed a limit that they had never thought about being able to break through.
Looking at the current state of Agatha, Lawrence breathed a sigh of relief inwardly. Having done so much and even continuously taunting her just for this very moment was worth it.
Had he not done any of this, then Lawrence was positive that Agatha would receive more backlash.
After all, she had never trained herself and could be said to be a fragile woman. Time was ticking down, and Lawrence could not afford to let her waste more time in building up the foundation necessary for it.
Her age wasn't young anymore, and if more time were wasted, then the chances of her being unable to unleash her full potential were high.
'Back then, you forfeited your life in the demon beasts' rampage soon after we met. But I was sure that you would have survived if you were properly guided.' Lawrence thought, still blaming himself for being useless.
Shaking his head, Lawrence could only pray for the best that Agatha could form the Mana Core herself. He had done everything he could have done up to this point, and now it was all up to Agatha's tenacity and willpower to construct it.
As Agatha gradually closed her eyes, seemingly concentrating on the effect of the Aetherforge Elixir, Lawrence turned his attention back to her mother.
Although she was unable to make a single sound, Lawrence could tell her mother was definitely cursing him and his entire generation repeatedly.
That was her daughter, and seeing her being bullied like this, it would be ridiculous if she wasn't trying to beat him up.
Not to mention, the glare that she was making truly frightened him a little bit.
And trust me, for a commander that had seen numerous bloodshed and corpses piled up, along with many other tragic or scary things. Making him frightened must be an achievement in itself.
'No wonder there was a saying to never mess with a mother. A mother can truly do anything to protect their offspring.' Lawrence exclaimed inwardly, pacifying his emotion before walking toward her.
Ignoring the fierce glare from her, Lawrence continued to use the mana that he had restrained on her to check for that pest.
'Agatha's mother isn't sick because of an illness, but because of a parasite that had invaded her body. Such a parasite is rare and shouldn't even exist here unless someone intentionally planted it in her.' Lawrence realized he might have severely underestimated the circumstances of Agatha.
It appeared that someone else was harboring evil intentions toward her.
Lawrence: Bet none of you expected my intention, right? If so, feel free to leave a comment/review or even better, a castle gift. Teehee~
