Agatha

"Agatha, please don't be like this. It's all that bastard's fault and I will surely get revenge." Cedric's eyes turned watery as he pleaded. "I don't even mind what happened to you. Why won't you give me a chance?"

"Please don't talk anymore, Cedric." Agatha's tone was adamant. It was clear that she was determined in her actions. "Don't ever come here again to look for me. I never and will never ever have feelings for you."

Sheeeeeeeesh~

Talk about a brutal rejection!

Now that one right there was through the damn gut and intestine.

No one can ever recover from that!

At first, Lawrence was wondering what this boy was planning to do, but his interest was quickly lost once he got the gist of the situation.

'Cedric boy… you've got rejected. Take it like a damn man and get the fuck out already! No one wants to see you taking my screen time.' Lawrence exclaimed inwardly.

Alas, he needed flawless timing to make an entrance. Otherwise, he might just look like another dork as this fool, Cedric. As if he would make that kind of mistake.

Calmly standing on the rooftop, Lawrence's hearing ability was enhanced through the usage of mana, and he could hear Cedric being a complete pest.

If possible, Lawrence wished to have some pesticide spray on him so that he could use them at Cedric in the face.

Fool, you got rejected already, so what are you still doing outside her door?

If you're the type to behave like Cedric, then kindly do yourself a favor.

And no, it's not slapping your face. It's banging your head to a wall to get that gutter out of your brain.

"Agatha, please. I know you don't think too highly of me, but I swear to you. The Tatum Academy might be having a welcome ceremony, but they also had a change of policy where students can still apply so long as we pass their special test." Cedric said, his face furrowed in nervousness.

"I'm confident that I can pass the special test, so please give me a chance." He added, being extremely persistent.

Just when Agatha was about to respond to Cedric's persistent pursuit and annoyance, a tile from a rooftop suddenly dropped, creating a loud sound on the ground as the tile shattered into debris.

Alerted, Cedric pulled his sword out and shouted, "Who's there?"

As for Agatha, she was somewhat shocked by the sudden loud noise created by the shattering of debris. She subsequently pulled the door a little back and took a small glimpse of the outside.

With her eyes tracing through the source of the tile coming from, her expression turned pale, before being replaced with fury and shock simultaneously.

At the same time, Cedric also recognized the individual who was eavesdropping on the rooftop.

"It's you!" Cedric narrowed his eyes and said in a murderous tone.

Meanwhile, Lawrence scratched his head slightly, seemingly embarrassed by the situation.

"Damn it!" Lawrence clicked his tongue and nearly cursed a series of vulgar words.

"It's all the damn fool's fault for being so cringe and disgusting. Otherwise, how could I have committed such an amateur mistake?" He added, pinning the blame on Cedric.

Cedric's pleas were beyond the limit of cringe and disgustingness– to the point that Lawrence had given up on showing up in a style.

It was too much, and he was afraid if he listened further, he might just die from cringe alone. Luckily, his accidental step caused a tile to fall to the ground, catching their attention in a somewhat unique style.

Hopping down from the rooftop, Lawrence landed on the ground smoothly as he tilted his head.

"What's that puny sword of yours going to do to me?" Lawrence snorted coldly and asked. His goal was Agatha, someone that he owed and needed redemption for.

However, this brainless fool wasn't someone he owed anything to at all.

And did he forget to mention that he hated being pointed at with a sword?

Sure, he might be a bastard in everyone's eyes in Valeria City, but none of them dared to point a sword at him.

Not even the City Guards dared to do anything to him, and yet here we are.

A rejected fool had the nerve to raise his sword up at him.

"Put that sword away before I crack some of your limbs." Lawrence's expressions were ice cold as he exuded a large amount of mana as suppression on Cedric.

Instantly, Cedric was kneeling down with one knee, having been suppressed and unable to resist the tremendous mana pressure.

"Don't kneel for me. You are not even worthy to kneel in front of me. Just scram far away from me," Lawrence snickered coldly, walking past the kneeling Cedric without care.

Holding the hilt of his sword tightly, Cedric gnashed his teeth in fury. Being humiliated and insulted like that was causing him to explode, both internally and externally.

With a shout, Cedric temporarily resisted the mana suppression as he stood up, and turned around. Afterward, he raised his sword up, in an attempt to hack and slice Lawrence in half.

Without even turning back, Lawrence uttered a few words only. "Puny trick."

BOOOOM!

Unleashing another round of his mana, it directly sent Cedric flying back, his sword dropping down as well.

As for Cedric, he spat up a mouthful of blood upon the collision with the wall, coughing repeatedly and struggling to get up.

With Cedric disabled, Lawrence continued to walk toward Agatha, who was beyond frightened by now.

"D-D-Don't come here." It was as if she was hit with a stun spell, but Agatha was frozen in place, unable to move a single inch.

She wanted to slam the door shut and lock it, but she also knew it was a futile effort, considering how easily Lawrence had defeated Cedric.

Time seemed to have slowed down tremendously for her, with each second causing her heart to beat rapidly.

Her lips were trembling heavily and her eyes began to seep out tears, most likely from fear and the trauma she had gotten thanks to Lawrence.

Lawrence: Please don't judge me.... It's all this trashy author's fault for making my past and now I must redeem myself. Blame the author, blame him only.
