Future Plans

Yulin woke up late in the afternoon the next day. As she was finally able to rest in bed, she didn't want to have to get up early so she decided to sleep in a little.

Her maid knew she was tired so she didn't bother waking Yulin up and also made sure no one came to bother Yulin.

"Miss, master and madam they are getting ready to eat lunch right now. Do you want to eat with them? Or do you want me to tell them that you would like to eat alone?"

"Eat? Of course, I can't say no to food. Let Father and Mother know I'll be there. Let me get dressed."

Yulin quickly got dressed and went to join her parents for lunch. Everyone was always busy so this was a great time for her to really get to know her new parents.

She has to start focusing on cultivation as well so she needed to have some family time with them before she and everyone else gets busy.

...

"It's nice to have you eating with us. It's been a long time since you've joined us for a meal my dear."

Hearing this from her parents made her feel loved and she grateful. The previous owner really didn't know to appreciate what she had. Of course, everyone has their own problems but you need to learn to be grateful for things in life.

"Mother and father? I have some questions I want to know. How has the clan been doing financially? And how are the relationships between everyone within the clan?"

"Daughter, you are at such a young age to be asking these questions."

Her parents were surprised to hear her asking such things.

"If you really want to know, we can tell you. Financially, we are making enough income to support the whole clan. Everyone does what they can and most of the income come from selling weapons and elixirs to shops.

Out of all the major clans we are the only clan that have an alchemist that is blue leveled. Even though the weapons we make are mostly pure grade, we still make a good amount of money. Some weapons may even come out a higher grade sometimes. Most clans also do what we do, some may even sell beasts as well."

"This all depends on where their specialty lies. The relationship between everyone within the clan is good as well. Might I say that even though we have opposing views sometimes, we would never betray one another. Your uncles and I have supported each other through thick and thin and we would do anything for the clan."

"It's good to know that Father. It seems that everyone here can be trusted."

Hearing her father talk about the relationship between the clan members, she could feel that he trusted everyone.

Even though she said she was happy she would still have to see if the clan members are worthy of her trust.

In order for her to take certain plans into action, she needed to know that those within are worth enough. As some people may not be what they seem.

It wasn't the time for her to take action and help the clan. But she had it planned already. She just needs to cultivate and grow first before she can start rolling with her plans.

With the plan she had in mind, members within the clan can have the ability to grow stronger and raise a few levels.

She also knew what she needed to do to help with their clans finances. Knowing that she had a space with that grows herbs and even fruits, their finances would never be threatened.

As their meal ended, Yulin excised herself and returned to her room.

Yulin did not have class that day so she had the day to do other things. She decided to brush on some medicine and alchemy books before she starts on her cultivation.

....

After a few hours of reading and looking over some previous information she was confident that making some elixirs was not difficult.

She just needed time and practice.

....

Next, she went onto her cultivation. Being that she just went onto the Xuan stage she needed to consolidate her strength.

Yulin went into a meditative state while sitting on her bed. She continued her cultivation for hours until evening came.

Beads of sweat could be seen on her face with a blush of pink on her cheeks.

With all that cultivation, she wanted to go back to sleep and was also starting to get hungry.

Spiritual energy could help relieve a person from all of that but being that she was so used to eating and sleeping.

She still loved doing both of those even though she absorbed enough spiritual energy to keep her from going hungry or feel sleepy.

She could feel that with the consolidation of her cultivation, she may be able to breakthrough to the next level but now was not the time.

Since it was evening Yulin decided to go do the mission. Although it was evening it wasn't dark outside yet. So even if she went out, her parents wouldn't think too much of it.

.....

Yulin stepped out of the resident after she let her maid know that she was going out for a bit.

She took out the mission slip and read it again after walking some distance.

'This should be the place.' It certainly looked nice. The place was quite huge with a few guards standing outside.

As she was about to enter the place, she was stopped by two guards outside.

" State your business for coming here young lady." As the guards asked her, she responded that she may be able to cure their lady.

Such words shocked both guards. It was surprising that such a young lady like her would be able to cure someone. Yet alone even practice the arts of medicine or being a doctor.

"You must be kidding us right? Such a young lady like yourself and saying you can cure someone?"

She was starting to get annoyed. Of course she looked young to be a doctor. But they wouldn't know if they don't let her try.

"Judge a book not by its cover but the intelligence it possesses. Many doctors may have come to look at your young miss and not be able to help. It wouldn't hurt to just let me take a look. I promise, I come with no ill intent."
