Werewolf (3)

Feeling its body devoured by flames, the werewolf howled in pain. The monster started rolling on the ground, trying to extinguish the fire, but it didn't help.

Using its hinge legs that were already healed the werewolf leapt towards the huge water lake it saw a few days ago.

"Crap!"

Seeing the creature escaping Alexandra cursed before creating a fire bow and aiming it at the black figure moving through the sky.

Whoosh...

The fire arrow left the bow and tore through the air striking impaling the werewolf's chest.

Howl...

The werewolf winced in pain, leaving a trail of blood and smoke while falling into the forest below.

"Let's go after it..."

The man spoke and dashed towards the monster's crash site while Alexandra stood rooted in her spot.

'Weird...'

Looking around the area she could've sworn she felt a presence of another human being nearby.

'I'll inform Kyle, but first, let's deal with the werewolf!'

Dashing after the man named Kyle Alexandra heard distant battle sounds and smirked, the creature was yet to be killed...

***

"Overly Tenacious..."

Blocking the claws of the monster with his bare hands the man swung his fist at the monster's jaw, throwing it into a nearby cliff.

Rumble...

Some debris even fell, but the man didn't care, the fallen stones might've injured the beast even.

Growl...

Hearing the beast's letting out a low sound the man shook his head.

"You should've just laid dead"

Appearing before the monster, he took hold of its head and used his hands to crush it with such a powerful force that blood started spilling out of the creature's ears.

The werewolf let out a whimper trying to get Kyle off his head, but was unsuccessful, its skull was being crushed by the man, making it almost black out in pain.

Looking at the gruesome sight with cold eyes Kyle didn't even flinch. It's as if he was wearing a mask, even his eyes were emotionless.

Roar...

Finally the werewolf managed to get a hold of Kyle and swung him into the air, as far as it could.

Unfortunately for the beast, another person showed up to face it.

"Come on, you drooling bastard!"

Walking out of the greenery Alexandra spoke whilst a fire bow rested in her arms. If she wanted an arrow could be launched in second or even less.

The werewolf howled, its voice echoing through the trees. Alexandra tensed, her fingers tight on the bowstring. Suddenly, the werewolf leapt towards her, its eyes glowing with a fierce light.

Alexandra took a deep breath and let her fire arrow fly. It struck the werewolf in the chest, but it didn't do much damage. At least it seemed so, but in reality the arrow was an explosive one.

Boom...

Half of the werewolf's torso was gone, but it was slowly regenerating.

"Ugly thing..."

Looking at the visible organs of the beast Alexandra scoffed.

She nocked another arrow and let it fly, this time aiming for the werewolf's head. The arrow struck its mark, but this time the werewolf didn't seem to feel it.

"What?"

Flabbergasted Alexandra jumped back warily eyeing the wolf. The same arrow that had previously pierced through the wolf like a knife through the butter was now deflected off its face.

With its body being almost fully healed the werewolf snarled, and charged at Alexandra, its claws extended.

Just as the werewolf was about to reach her, Alexandra drew another fire arrow and let it fly. This time, the arrow struck the werewolf's heart, bringing it to the ground.

"Tenacious Bastard!"

Looking at the twitching muscles of the beast Alexandra knew that it was yet to be dead.

Massaging her templates she took a dozen steps back, intending to wait until Kyle came back.

She didn't have to wait long, because soon a muscular man with a ruined haircut and slightly irritated expression showed up behind her.

"He threw me into the lake..."

Gesturing to his soaked clothes he eyed the beast, looking at its rapidly healing wounds.

"Don't intervene..."

The man spoke and took a step forward while the Mana around the vicinity moved towards him as if obeying him.

'He can't be... Shit!'

Cursing Alexandra dashed backwards as fast as she could, she felt her Mana being forcefully absorbed by Kyle.

Left alone the man stood before the massive werewolf, his fists clenched at his sides as he prepared for the gruesome fight ahead.

The werewolf, standing at a towering ten meters tall, let out a deafening howl as it moved towards him without a slightest hesitation.

Whoosh...

The man narrowly avoided the werewolf's sharp claws and delivered a powerful punch to its chest, causing it to stumble back. But the werewolf was far from defeated. Its strong regenerative powers allowed it to quickly recover from the man's attack and it let out a snarl as it lunged at him again.

The man dodged and weaved, using his bare hands to block the werewolf's powerful strikes. A drop of sweat dripped down his forehead as he fought to defend against the beast's relentless attacks.

Despite the man's impressive strength and agility, the werewolf's regenerative powers made it a hard enemy to defeat. Every time the man landed a blow, the werewolf's wounds would quickly heal, leaving the man with no way to defeat it.

Boom...

Another punch connected, making the werewolf's forearm explode, only for it to regenerate a few seconds later.

Frowning, the man gathered all the mana into his fist delivering a devastating punch to the werewolf's head.

Crack...

The monster's skull loudly cracked and it fell to the ground, but it was yet to be dead. Kyle saw that its limbs were still moving, albeit slowly.

Approaching the monstrous being with confident steps the man raised his open palm high in the air and a mace materialized into his hand.

Boom...

Soon the werewolf was dead, its head was smashed by the huge mace the man wielded.

'Puff....'

Letting out a deep breath the man stopped absorbing Mana surrounding him and collapsed on the ground.

Enchanting his body beyond his rank was hard, very hard, Kyle had even heard that it might even damage his potential.

'At least such a monster is dead...'

Glaring at the carcass of the monster he closed his eyes, Kyle was severely fatigued.
