Uneasy

"Where are we going, exactly?" Hler asked, putting on his coat as Reed drove the car out of the gates and down the empty, flooded road. "And are you sure it is safe? Look at the rain."

Looking over at the Vampire in the back, Aseko raised an eyebrow at him, "Since when did you worry about something like a little bit of rain?" 

"Since Kei asked me to promise that I will come back in one piece," Hler said with a deep sigh. "You know, boss, I think you owe it to this family to finally get a wife." 

"Now where is this coming from?" Aseko asked, turning from him, growing slightly annoyed. 

"You do not know the happiness of being with someone else, boss," Hler said, eyes sparkling as his memories began to flood around him. "You wake up each morning, happy that you are alive and get to spend more time with another person. 

"When you are with them, the air smells a little sweeter as well. You should feel it sometimes, boss."
