ch. 21 Gaara

(AN: getting into the meat of the story.)

*suna kazekage office*

"Gaara it's late let's just go home." Whined a blond haired woman as she pouted at a red haired teen.

Sighing Gaara replied "soon Temari I just have this last document." The teen mumbled as he signed off one last paper. After doing so he froze before putting the paper on top of a stack of papers. "Take these to mayuri for me." He spoke while looking out of his window.

Shrugging temari lifted up the stack of papers and walked out of the office room. "Sure I'll meet you back at home later." She announced as she left.

Standing up Gaara walked over to his window and looked into the distance. "So it's starting huh?" He asked no in particular.

In the corner of his office a book fell off the shelf, exploding into a cloud of smoke it turned into a blond teen with six whisker marks. "Ya two of them riding on a large bird. From ero-Sennins information it should be Deidara and Sasori."

Nodding Gaara looked up in thought before asking "the bomber and the puppeteer?" And getting an affirmative hum in response he continued "sasori is a rouge Suna nin, so I'll deal with him."

"Good, be careful of his poisons, I know they don't really work on us jinchuuriki but Akatsuki is hunting us so he may have come up with a special poison for us." Naruto informed

Giving a small smile Gaara nodded "thank you."

Smiling back the clone took out a three pronged kunai and replied "we're both jinchuuriki, and I'm a future Kage, we gotta stick together." Than dropping the kunai he added "now unless you want to fight a bomber within the village we should be going."

*konoha hokage office*

"Yo baa-Chan!" Naruto exclaimed as he hopped in through the window.

Startled tsunade stood up "I'M AWAKE!" She announced as she almost tripped over herself

Rolling his eyes Naruto settled into a serious demeanor "gaara's in trouble, two akatsuki are coming for him."

Sobering up tsunade sat back down into her seat and narrowed her eyes. "I see, I'll form a team."

"No need." Naruto denied getting a glare from tsunade. "Baa-Chan I need experience fighting S-class nins, also the only people who wouldn't hold me and Gaara back are you, kana, ero-Sennin, guy, and kakashi. I can't take you, kana isn't going anywhere near danger, and guy, ero-Sennin, and kakashi are out on missions."

Hearing his explanation tsunade sighed. She new Naruto was right but she didn't want to send her son/little brother figure out alone against the very people that are hunting him.

Gritting her teeth she leaned back into her chair and exhaled a long sigh "fine, be safe brat."

Smiling Naruto replied with a smirk, "don't worry baa-Chan I got Gaara watching my back, also if I can't deal with some rouge nin how am I supposed to take your seat."

Rolling her eyes tsunade tossed a paper weight at him, watching him disappear in a flash of yellow she grumbled "cocky brat." But the small grin she had revealed her true feelings on the matter.

*outside suna*

Appearing in the middle of a desert Naruto looked around spotting the distant sandstone walls of suna he smiled. "Ah this place still sucks." He mumbled as he felt the sand constantly hitting his skin while getting fucking everywhere

"You know I'm right here." Announced Gaara with a monotone voice.

"Yup, now let's go meet our friends." Naruto replied with a smile

Sighing Gaara used his sand to creat a cloud as he floated himself and Naruto away from the village and towards a small dot in the distant sky.

After reaching the flying bird Naruto and Gaara were met with the sight of two people. One was a blond man with a manic smile while the other was a old man with a hunched back and blades on his head forming a crown like appendage. "Wow that is one ugly mother fucker!" Naruto exclaimed making Gaara face palm

"Be serious please." Gaara asked making Naruto shrug helplessly

"Ya ya whatever." Naruto mumbled before locking his eyes with that of the other blonds "deidora the mad bomber, ex iwa shinobi master of the explosion release, and Sasori of the red sands master puppeteer and ex suna shinobi." Naruto greeted, these people may be he respected them for reaching the S-rank level. He personality knew how fucking hard it is to reach said rank without the kyuubi helping boosting his ability's.

"Naruto uzumaki nine tails jinchuuriki, konoha shinobi." Sasori returned the greeting with a monotone voice while keeping his face emotionless.

"Enough with the talking let me show them my art!" Deidara exclaimed while throwing clay balls at Naruto and Gaara.

Using a wind jutsu Naruto easily batted them away. "Yes I agree my hime is sore and moody." Naruto agreed while using a body flicker to arrive next to Deidara and teleporting away with him. All the while thinking 'it's her night to be on top and these fuckers interrupted us.'

As they left the clay bird quickly lost its form and started to fall bringing Sasori with it. Watching the clay bird disform and fall with an imapassive face Gaara was surprised when the clay bird hit the sand and exploded. 'That could have taken out multiple blocks if it hit the village.' He thought with narrowed eyes and commanded his sand to bring him down.

*with Naruto and deidara*

"Huh where are we!" Deidara screamed as he noticed they were on a tall mountain surrounded by heavy clouds that flashed with lightning.

"In the mountains of kumo, but don't worry we're pretty far from the hidden village so we won't be interrupted. Oh and you'll also notice that any attempt to leave will result in your death after all this mountain is surrounded by lightning clouds that will make your exploding clay quite unstable." Naruto commented from his place across from Deidara.

Narrowing his eyes in anger Deidara exclaimed "you basterd! How did you know my weakness!"

Smirking Naruto saw no need to hide his heritage anymore also it's not like Deidara doesn't know about his hirashin after all he just used it on him. "Well you see my father kept quite a few notes on iwa, after all he did kill a lot of iwa nin. I guess it doesn't hurt to tell a dead man my name, I am Naruto uzumaki Namikaze son of the yellow flash minato Namikaze and the red death kushina uzumaki."

Hearing him Deidara took a step back and his breathing picked up. "No it can't be! Your the son of that monster!"

Grinning Naruto slowly took out a tri pronged kunai and spin it around his finger lazily. "Oh what's with the fear I haven't even done anything to you yet." Naruto asked mockingly

"YOU I'LL KILL YOU!" Deidara screamed as he madly dashed at Naruto.

'Haaa is it really this easy to anger an iwa nin?' Naruto internally questioned not knowing that deidara's parents were among those that minato slaughtered.

*with Gaara and sasori*

As Gaara floated down he hovered at a good height to maintain air superiority while watching the sand cloud settle. As it did he saw a young red haired boy wearing akatsuki garb. He was surrounded with the remains of puppets. Narrowing his eyes Gaara asked "you are no longer human?"

"I have achieved the pinnacle of art, I have become eternal!" Sasori replied with passion.

"I see you've made yourself into a puppet." Gaara replied with a nod. Than raising his hands the desert gained life as Gaara exclaimed "you may have reached the peak of puppeteering but you are not eternal." And with that sentence the desert shook as Gaara let out a monstrous aura.
