Meeting

We flew to the city, me and Glyn don't play on Menf's back anymore making the trip silence as we just kept looking at the starry sky, we reached the entrance, Krom was still there.

Krom:"Hey, How was the trip?".

Menf:"Not good, I need you to gather the others elders, it's a emergency.".

Krom:"Understood." His face turned serious "Where and when?".

Menf:"Right now at the meeting room.".

We walked a little faster to the decreasing station with Krom by our side, Menf asked Tin to take his place and he did without saying a thing, we entered the city and went straight home not bothering to follow the roads as we flew past the roofs from the houses.

I was almost sleeping when we got there, Menf handed me to my mother and she put me on our nest in the room as i began to fall asleep, i was exhausted from the day, i couldn't think properly, i wanted to know what Menf wanted to talk with my parents and the others elders, but i couldn't stay awake anymore.

Menf's POV:

Sena got out of her room and looked at me before nodding, i nodded to her too as Bren, her and me walked to leave the house only to be stopped by Tay.

Tay:"I want to go too." He bowed his head in respect "I was in there in the battle so i think my side will be useful, then please take me too.".

Menf:"No, you are too young, your parents and me are suficient to explain what happened, and everything we will discuss there are none of your worries.".

Tay:"You'll be discussing about Synn too right?".

Menf:"Yes but he'll be mentioned only once at most.".

Tay:"That's enough.".

I narrowed my eyes at him and he bowed his head even more in response, it can't be helped, I knew he would do that, And i was already planning in taking him, i just wanted to see his reason.

Menf:"Fine, lets get going.".

Tay:"Thank you.".

"Wait we want to go too." The twins shouted at the same time as if they were linked.

Menf:"Sorry you two, you have to stay here to take care of Synn.".

Lyra:"But Menf, we are worried about Synn too, we want to know what will happen to him, please." He bowed her head and Lon as well.

Menf:"Sigh, sorry, I'm letting Tay go because there's something i want to talk with him too, and if you were worried about Synn you should stay here and protect him, Tay can say what we discussed tomorrow.".

Lyra:"... Understood." I could hear she clicking her tongue.

We got out of the house and set off to the meeting, we flew past houses until we got to the town hall, we entered and walked to the re doble door at the end, i could already hear the others elders talking behind it, we opened the door and silence fell on the room, on the middle there was a long white table with the four elders surrounding it, i walked to the end of the table and sat there, Bren's family sat behind me.

"So Menf, why did you call us this late." Reng a red dragon spoke a bit irritated, he had a scar running from his chest to his forehead like he was cut in half.

Menf:"Calm down, It's a emergency.".

"So what? You could have called us tomorrow." Cenn a red dragoness also Reng's wife, she is short tempered like Reng.

Menf:"I couldn't, I don't know when our enemy might attack.".

"Enemy? Why do you think we will be attacked?" Plut a blue dragon, unlike Reng and Cenn he was calm also he's the smartest one of the elders.

Menf:"I'll be talking in this meeting, any more questions?".

"Yeah, do i need to be here?" Dryg a light green dragon, he's the laziest out of us, but also the strongest, he had lost his left horn by a dragon breath in the last war.

Menf:"Yes you need, any more questions?" No one spoke for a minute "Then lets start, Me and Bren's family here went to the outside park -".

Reng:"Are you serious?!" He slammed his hand at the table interrupting me "You called us to talk about your park trip?!".

Menf:"I already said, calm down, its about what we find there, we found drakes.".

Plut:"What? Drakes at the park?".

Menf:"Yes, but not only one, we found a nest, and there was a elder drake too.".

Reng:"What?! An elder drake?! I'm sure we killed every elder drake in the cleaning we made in the hatching islands!".

Menf:"Yeah we did, but looks like one escaped or it evolved, which bring my theory, a mutation might occured.".

Plut:"That's possible if someone gave them huge amounts of mana, that's why you think there's a enemy?".

Menf:"That's right, but that's not the only possibility.".

Plut:"What is the other?".

Menf:"Have you heard of the white dragon newborn?".

Plut:"That one that got to the academy? What about him?".

Menf:"He have mana since his birth, maybe he gave his mana to the drakes when he was born, his mana shouldn't be suficient to cause a mutation to the drakes, but he almost had a mana breakthrough today.".

Sena:"What?! When?!" She suddenly shouted behind me.

Menf:"When we were talking after i killed the elder drake, he's far more smart than you think, he felt guilty about what happened, he may have changed after this, keep an eye on him.".

Sena:"I will." She lowered her head thinking.

Menf:"But i still think that's his mana didn't cause this, so maybe another city had done this, Bren its better if you advance the day of his mana ceremony.".

Bren:"Why?".

Menf:"If he do his mana ceremony happen to be at the moment of the invasion, you might not be able to protect him.".

He didn't say anything and only lowered his head.

Menf:"Tay, you will be the one to awake his mana right?".

Tay:"Yes.".

Menf:"Looks like he care about his family, use it.".

Menf:"So i think there is a enemy, and i'm pretty sure who it is.".

Plut:"The southern city." He clicked his tougue

Cenn:"Them again? What do they want now?".

Menf:"I don't know but i'm pretty sure that there will be war, can i leave this with you Plut?".

Plut:"Sure but what are you going to do?".

Menf:"We are the strongest city and they know it, so they might have an ally, i will get ours.".

Plut:"The easthern city?".

Menf:"Yes, they have been our ally for eons, we must prepare for the war, especially you Dryg.".

Dryg:"I know, I know.".

Menf:"Anymore questions?" Silence fell after i asked "Good them this meeting is finished, prepare yourselfs, there's gonna be war.".
