Princes vs. Princesses

"If it is really fate, does it mean we will be together forever?" "There are people who don't believe in fate but I believed in it just for you." "But I didn't ask you to believe in it." "You didn't but my heart did."

She smiled softly at her schoolmates whom she knows from various corporations and institutions. She has been studying in Royal High since she was a little child and now, she is already in her second year in high school. Everyone in this school is firm and proper. It is an elite school and most of the students are heirs and heiresses. There are few scholars and the funds are usually from the top ten richest and most influential students of the school. Every year, the ranking positions of the students are changing due to the amount of money that their families can donate to the school.

"I'll go upstairs now." Her twin brother suddenly said and she nodded while smiling. Her twin brother's classroom is upstairs and it is in the guidelines that they can't stay in the same class.

She continued on walking but she stopped from her tracks once again when she saw a pair of shoes in front of her. She looked at the person who owns it and she saw that it was him. She lost count on how many times they encountered and it is also not the first time that they will stare in each other's eyes. She was just cut off from her reverie when she heard someone calling her name. She turned around to greet one of her closest friends and he continued his tracks to the upper floor. She knows him but she doesn't really talk to him.

"Ohayou, Fuyu-chan!" She chuckled softly while hugging one of her closest friends, Gia, back. Her eyes are still focused on his retreating figure.

"Who was that?" The older one asked as she followed where she was looking. Her eyes narrowed and realized that it is the Third Prince.

"Did you and Sho talk already?" Gia asked and she shook her head. She raised a brow and released her from the hug.

"I don't have any intentions to talk to him." She said in a soft but low voice and they went inside their classroom already.

"And why? He is my best friend. He is a good guy." She put her bag down on her desk and took her seat. It's been a while since Gia told her that he is a good guy.

"I know he is a good guy. Mako-nii will not make friends with him if he is a bad guy." Gia pouted and took her seat as well. She is the matchmaker of both parties but she feels like they don't have any plans to be friends at least.

"You know what? Let's have a double date. I met a decent man last week and he asked me to have another date with him." She rested her chin on her palm and shook her head. She doesn't have any plans to date someone as well.

"Pass. I have something to do this weekend." She said and Gia rolled her eyes. She just wanted to set the two up for a date.

"Do you like him? Why are you avoiding him?" She asked but the younger one didn't answer her questions. Does she like him? She is not really avoiding him though. She just doesn't have anything to tell him.

"Good morning, girls." The last member of the trio finally arrived and Gia immediately threw herself into Lauren.

"Lauren, convince Fuyu to have a date with Sho." She cried softly and the youngest among the three shrugged her shoulders.

"I'm really wondering what your relationship is with him. You two are always meeting in the hallways but not really talking with each other." Lauren took her seat and Gia nodded her head vigorously.

"We don't have any relationships. He is just our schoolmate and my Mako-nii's classmate." Both girls groaned at her answer.

Lauren was about to say something but her gaze focused on the person arriving. It is their class representative and the First Prince, Kawamura Kazuma. He was the most influential student last year and now, he will compete to maintain his rank. She looked away when his gaze landed on her. She is feeling a little shy because she remembered requesting her parents to arrange a date with him. She just doesn't know if her request reached him.

"Ohayou." His manly yet husky voice echoed near her ear. She looked at him once again and realized that the one he greeted was one of his friends, Yoshino Hokuto.

"Ohayou, Kazuma. Want to join us later? We will have a basketball match." Hokuto said while fishing his phone out from his bag's pocket.

"Sure. The others will be there?" He asked and the younger one nodded. The girls were just staring at the two and Hokuto felt Fuyu's gaze on him. He smiled at her and waved his hand. She just smiled back and focused on the two girls again.

"You're smiling at Hokuto but not at Sho?" Gia raised a brow once again and she just laughed softly. She is really consistent on matchmaking the two.

"He is also Mako-nii's friend. It will not hurt me if I will smile at them, right?" After this question, the teacher finally walked in. Saved by the bell.

Gia looked around before standing up. The class representative greeted the teacher and everyone followed him. They bowed their heads and took their seats once again. It is only Monday but there are already some students absent. She never saw this class being completely present. There are always one or two students who are absent because of business matters. The teachers clarified to them that as long as they can pass the exams and homeworks, they will have an average grade. Those who want high grades will do their best, right? After all, they are in the first section. The school still has standards. They can't buy their grades since they know that everything they will learn from there will be used when they grow up.
