Pain!

That was all Zen felt at the moment, his vision was blurry, his katana was clumsily held in his hand. He felt tired, he just wanted to find somewhere and lay down.

His vision suddenly cleared when his neck was grabbed by the revenant and he came face to face with it.

There was no difference, except for its chapped lips and somewhat malnourished cheeks, Zen could still make out who the revenant was.

The revenant smiled as he created a blade which he stabbed through Zen, and slashed out, tearing a part of his stomach out. He grinned and threw the body to the side.

Sakura who had seen this was stunned as she stood rooted where she was. She just stared at Zen who laid in his pool of blood. His figure was blocked by soke aberrants who were running towards her. She began to slay them as she rushed towards where Zen was.

Zen lay on the floor as he watched the aberrants walk towards him. "Spatial Shift"

He disappeared with a groan, as he appeared in the air and crashed into a store. He rested his back on the wall and looked down at his torn out stomach, he saw as they were growing back.

"Thank goodness, I equipped the skillbook" Zen muttered.

With the 10 points increase, a little of Zen's fatigue disappeared, the speed at which his injuries healed increased.

The revenant looked around the area and did not find Zen, only seeing a girl killing aberrants as she rushed towards his location. It noticed how the bloodlust around the girl was increasing and its eyes revealed a rare emotion of surprise.

Zen was current drinking a green liquid from a small bottle, beside him were four other empty bottles.

[Low grade healing potion consumed]

He received a prompt and watched as his stomach stitched back and healed up without andh scars. Zen immediately stood up and felt as good as new.

Nyct's voice sounded in his head to which he immediately answered and said that he was fine, he had just passed out for a second after the stab.

"Sh*t!" Zen ignored whatever was being and rushed out of the store. He saw aberrants in front of him and looked a little farther, he saw the revenant and Sakura clashing. He noticed how Sakura had several cuts, as she wasn't only trying to defend against the revenants but the attacks of aberrants and Quicks alike.

"Kill Slice.... Spatial Shift"

Zen disappeared and appeared behind the revenant with an attempt to cut the revenant who immediately turned around and blocked with it's blade which Zen sliced through before slashing across the chest of the revenant spilling black blood, much to the surprise of them both.

Seeing that Zen was fine, Sakura sighed with relief and began to kill the aberrants around her whike moving back towards where Nyct was.

[Tenacity activated]

Zen jumped back from the revenant who had blood pouring out of the deep wound across his chest. His gaze was determined as he stared at the revenant.

"Hellflame!" Zen muttered as he ran his palm above the flame of his katana, the blade immediately was covered in black and orange flame.

[Kill Slice: 02:39]

He had about two minutes before Kill Slice would end, he got into a stance as he stared at the revenant.

Looking at the flames around the blade of the katana, the revenant felt extremely threatened.

"Kill!" It commanded in a hoarse voice, as the aberrants dashed towards Zen in quick succession and began to engulf him, forming a small human pyramid.

There was a sound of slicing before the human pyramid burst into blood as Zen charged up mid air and faced the revenant. The flames around the katana's blade had taken a black purple hue.

"Spatial Shift"

Zen disappeared from his location and appeared behind the revenant and sliced through it's neck as the head came off and burst into flames.

Seeing this prompt, Zen's eyes darkened as he collapsed to the floor.

Zen opened his eyes and immediately sat up, he noticed that he was lying on a bed, his body had bandages on the part that were still healing. He noticed Sakura who was sleeping with her head on the bed as she held his hand. The little girl was curled up at his leg.

Nyct stood by the window, feeling Zen's gaze, he turned around and looked at his Lord. Without saying anything, Zen sent him into the nether space.

He decided to check the records.

Zen understood why he was given the C, he had almost died. He ignored it and decided to accept the rewards as they come.

Zen went into thoughts about how to allocate the stats points. He decided to add 100 points each to everything and the rest to strength and agility.

Zen could feel how strong he had become, he even noticed that due to his increase in perception, he could see clearly in the dark, and the distance his eyes could see, had increase.

He took out the A-class skill book from his inventory, a red colored pamphlet with the letter A written in gothic style, appeared in his hand.

Zen chose yes and the pamphlet burst into a faint light which flowed into his head.
