Chapter 35: Exiting The Dungeon

Caizher opened his mouth and the breath of death came out from his mouth. All the trees it hits turned lifeless and become ashes that the wind carried away

The jaws of the humans around dropped on the floor at seeing this unbelievable skill. They too can use superpowers but most of it were simple and not something like this

Caizher tried his best to execute the skill properly but a small hole still appeared on his chest. But this time the hole is much smaller than all of his previous attempts

After the first try, Caizher closed his eyes to calm himself. When he opened his eyes, one can see a burning fighting spirit on it. "I will succeed today!"

Caizher took another deep breath and infused it with mana on his chest. "[Darkness Style: Breath of Death!]" He opened his mouth once more and attacked another group trees

Just like before, all trees that were hit by his breath attack dried up and turned into ashes. Caizher put particular attention on the way the dark breath moved inside him as to not cause any damage on his body

Caizher used up all the air inside him with no holes appearing on his body. He clenched his fist as excitement filled his body

"Success!!" Caizher shouted not caring about the curious humans who were watching him. As he finally got the hang of it, Caizher trained his Breath of Death and only stopped when all of his mana were used up

Caizher stretched his body and returned to his little village of dark goblins. Entering the village, he saw Shaina who was cultivating

Sensing her master, she opened her eyes and greeted the man respectfully. "You take charge of everything here. I will leave for some time"

"Yes, master" Shaina replied and Caizher rested for a while before ordering Shaina to get his backpack. His backpack was filled with mana stones thanks to the goblins and wolves hunting for him

Caizher rode on a dark wolf and used it as his mount. The humans can't help but envy him for having such a mount

Exiting the dungeon, the first thing that Caizher saw is a long line of people. When he surveyed his surroundings, he saw how the area around the door changed. It turned into what looks like an office with people supervising it

Caizher ignored the shock look on the humans as they saw him riding a wolf and continued on his way

"L-leader!!" After the initial shock, the humans immediately called Caizher as their leader but the man didn't care about them and continue ignoring them

"W-wait, leader!" One woman stood in front of Caizher causing the man to frown. "What is it?" Caizher asked in annoyance

"Leader, I was tasked to brief you on the current state of the base" the woman said much to Caizher's annoyance

"I am not your leader nor I want to be one. Bye!" Caizher didn't gave the woman a chance to talk again and directly ordered his wolf to continue

Exiting that office like room, Caizher was a bit shock at the current state outside. After the war with the monsters, the base was in ruins

The infrastructures were destroyed, even the ground cracked. But now, no signs of fighting can be seen. After having mana, construction works become much easier!

Ignoring the looks the humans are giving him, Caizher continued on his way and arrived at the little girl's weapon shop. He was surprise at how many people were inside

He thought that since the monsters dropped weapons sometimes, it will cause the demands for weapons to lessen. However, that is not actually the case as this shop is bustling with a lot of people

Caizher ordered his wolf to stay outside while giving the surrounding humans a deadly stare to warn them. He directly went to the counter to ask Candice herself if she have improvement in weapon smith

But he wasn't even able to get close to the counter when the door on the side was flung open and the little girl came out. She looks visibly excited while rubbing a bluish sword on her face

"HAHAHAH!! I SUCCEEDED!! MY SKILLS ADVANCED AGAIN!!" Candice screamed not bothering how many people will look at her

Seeing how happy the little girl is, Caizher knew that he came in the right time and walked towards the woman

"Yo!" Caizher greeted with a grin while looking at the sword on Candice's hand. He can feel a bit of mana on that sword and he knew that it was no ordinary weapon

Candice turned her head to look at Caizher, seeing the expression on the man's face, she smirked

"Heh... you really are always in time for my precious creations!" Candice puffed her chest to show how proud she is

"So, what is that sword? How is that different from normal weapon?" Caizher went straight to the point

"This is no ordinary sword! I made it thanks to the blueprint I gained inside the dungeon. I used some mana stones in making this! Not only can it regenerate minor damage with mana but it can also store some inside! How about it, powerful right?!" Candice said smugly and rub her face on it again

"I'll buy it!" Caizher directly said. Although he might be forced to abandon it in the future to flee, but he fancy a sword like this! The weapon made from mutant animal parts are already considered fantasy like, much more this kind of sword!

A fantasy sword like this is a dream of all men!

"Hehe not so fast! I'll sell it to you but with your strength you got something precious inside the dungeon right? Let us exchange!"

Caizher's face twitched. Aside from the mana stones, Caizher mostly ignored other things that dropped from the monsters

Cultivation manuals and skill book is not something he fancied as he has his own. There are also some blue prints but he's too lazy to collect it and ignored them. Besides, he mostly trained inside the dungeon. Thus, he doesn't have such an item

Caizher scratched the back of his head before he thought of something. "Come with me!" Caizher said and lead the way outside. The little girl Candice followed him in curiosity

As soon as they exited the shop, Candice saw a dark colored wolf which shocked her at why is a monster inside the base

"This wolf is my slave, I can give it to you if you want. It will be extremely loyal to you, fair trade right?"

Candice tried to touch the wolf but unlike the ones she encountered before, this one let her do what she wants without attacking her

She instantly fell in love with it. "Alright, deal!!" Candice handed the sword to Caizher and played with the wolf like a kid playing with a dog

"By the way, I want to ask you something"

Candice turned her head at the man "what is it?"

"Why are there so many people in your shop? The dungeon dropped some weapons too, right?" Caizher asked in curiosity

With the dungeon, the business of weapon shop like this must be affected. However, it becomes even more booming than before

"Is this your first time exiting the dungeon?" Candice asked and Caizher nodded his head

"Oh, that's why you didn't know. With the dungeons, humans rate of improvement eclipsed the fallens and mutant animals. However, the clearing of monsters around the dungeon before took a lot of lives. It greatly lessened the number of people that can fight"

"We become stronger but our numbers lessened a lot. After the doors opened, its ability to repel fallens vanished. It put a pressure on humans as we had a harder time repelling the numerous fallens"

"Also, there are bases that weren't able to reclaim their lands. After a month, the monsters outside the door became free and roamed the lands. We became more powerful but it lessened our numbers while increasing the number of enemies"

"It just push us into a more desperate situation and the lands outside the base become more dangerous. There are various monsters there with different abilities"

"The dungeons dropped weapons but the humans also constantly fight that damaged the durability of those weapons. Thus, weapons become a hot commodity"

Candice explained which shocked Caizher a bit. He forgot the possibility that not all bases will be able to reclaim their lands. It made the world outside the dungeon become dangerous too. However, it just filled him with excitement

A world with endless possibilities, isn't that a an exciting world?

"Anyways, with the constant fighting, from fallens and other monsters, even the walls are always being damaged. If not for earth style user continuously reinforcing it, this base might not even last" Candice said and petted the wolf like a dog

"By the way, how did you managed to subdue this wolf and why does it have a different color? If you can have a lot of these wolves, it would be a huge help to our base. But of course, I think it's hard to subdue one right?"

Candice words gave Caizher an idea and his face brightened. "Thanks for the advice, I'll go for now!" Caizher said and run leaving the little girl behind who pursed her lips

Caizher head back to the office where the dungeon is and saw that many people were still in line to enter it

He saw the woman who wants to talk to him before and walk towards her. The imposing manner he walked scared the woman a bit causing her body to tremble in fear

"Yo! Can I talk to the people who run this base?" Caizher is as straight to the point as ever and directly asked what she wants

"C-certainly! They are currently in a strategy meeting but they really wants to talk to you"

Caizher nodded his head and he was guided by the woman in another part of the base. It was in a tall building and since elevators doesn't work, the meeting was held in the third floor for convenience

The woman knocked on the door first before entering and a man open the door to ask her what she wants. "M-Mr. Caizher is with me, he wants to talk to the leaders"

Hearing her words, the man looked at the person behind her and can't believe how young Caizher is. The man immediately opened the door wider to let the two enter

Entering their meeting room, Caizher saw ten humans sitting on a chair while looking at him. Six of them were men and four were women

"C-Caizher" Anna blushed as she saw the man she has a huge crush with. As usual, her two loyal 'Knights' were on her side with a sour expression on their faces at seeing Caizher

"Mr. Caizher, I heard a lot of things on you" The man at the very front seat said and stood up to walk to Caizher

The man hold out his hand for a handshake and Caizher gave the man what he wants to get things done faster

"Hello, I'm here to propose a plan that will help the base" the man's face lit up at hearing Caizher's words

"Are you finally willing to become the base's leader and help us fight the enemies?" The man said in a hopeful tone

The humans experienced the cruelty of the apocalypse and desperately wants a powerful 'human' to be a symbol of hope by being the recognized leader and number one expert

"W-wait! Things like this is not something that should be easily decided like that!" One man from the seats said and Caizher looked at him while raising his brows

The majority wants Caizher to become the leader but that will also give him a lot of authority. These ten humans are equal in authority but if Caizher really become the top leader, his position would be higher than all of them

"Don't worry, I don't want to become the leader or whatsoever that will threaten your current position" Caizher sneered and ignored the man fuming in anger from his words

"What I want is a cooperation!"
