The Relationship of the Deaths [1]

"Who is Hinako Saeki?" Yoshio expressed his curiosity about what Anton was searching for, so he asked openly.

"The next victim..." Anton knew why he was asked this question. Not everyone had access to the Eye of God due to its powerful nature. Everyone had certain regulations when issuing an order or asking a question, but Anton had no such limitations. Being part of the ShadowBane family, he enjoyed a great privilege, and now, as a Guardian of the Association of Light, no one could question his authority.

Anton, who was reviewing the information on his credentials, said, "This is a cursed object operation. The dark entity apparently projects onto the victims and kills them seven days after watching a specific video."

"And how did you manage to find all that in such a short time?"

"As a Guardian, I have privileges that others don't. This gave me the possibility to search through the Eye of God for similar cases or those related to what I saw inside that room where the man died." Anton was brief with his words because he wanted to know if he was right or wrong.

The reason?

If the death of the man at the Continental is related to the seven students, that means there is a connection. Therefore, by knowing that, he could find the cursed video that curses anyone who watches it and thus view the video to eliminate the curse when it comes to his life. That was the best method he could think of.

He didn't know how the spirit attacked or how strong it was; all he could do given the situation was to eliminate the curse as soon as possible because if it spread, the deaths would be even greater.

"Have you decided to eliminate all information related to the dark entity? The curiosity generated by knowing about the curse that kills you in seven days is very great; many would only watch that video out of curiosity or morbid interest."

Yoshio, who received this suggestion, was surprised because he hadn't considered it until now. But before doing that, he would certainly need to archive the data that served him and identify who was or was not cursed.

"In this case, it would be best to suppress the spread of this video and create sabotage for those who want to watch it." Anton quickly arrived at this conclusion.

But there is a question bothering him—how and where is that video? The way to access it must be very peculiar because, in theory, to be a curse, the object must physically exist.

Reserving these doubts for himself, Anton looked at a series of cars stopped in front of him and asked, "How long to get to the girl's house?"

"We're a few houses away." Yoshio looked ahead urgently.

Anton, who had a hunch, muttered, "Damn it!"

Without thinking for a moment, he got out of the car, ignored the motorcyclists passing by the cars, and ran forward, imagining the worst.

At that moment, a few meters away from him, many people were gathered, and some of them had their cell phones out, recording whatever was on the ground.

"Get out of the way, damn idiots." Anton pushed a guy, and when he reached the front of the crowd, his gaze was dismayed.

What his eyes saw was the corpse of the girl they were looking for; her body was completely shattered, and each of her limbs was in an inhuman position. Looking at where she had died, Anton looked up, and soon he found a woman in the window of an apartment staring at him.

"I knew you were coming..." Anton frowned and looked at that dark entity, which moved away from the window without showing any expression.

"Does anyone know if that stupid girl committed suicide?"

"It's annoying; everyone should be aware and not commit suicide in places where they bother people." An old man complained loudly, ignoring the corpse a few meters away from him.

Anton, whose blood was boiling, pulled out a gun from its holster and, pointing it at the old man, said, "I need your help; take care of confiscating all the cell phones, and after you give them to me, you can go to hell."

"How do you talk to me like that?" The old man's words stuck in his throat when he saw a gun pointing at his head.

Everyone was petrified at seeing this, so quickly the old man did what Anton asked and took all the cell phones from everyone.

"If you want your cell phones back, go to the nearest police station to this location. If anyone has a damn problem, they can tell me now and settle it directly." Anton said, looking at everyone very piercingly, and everyone looked away.

After saying that, Anton shouted, "Get out of here!"

Just as everyone was leaving, the police and an ambulance were arriving. But regardless of this, Anton kneeled beside the girl and said, "I truly regret your death."

"Sir, what are your orders?" Yoshio appeared behind Anton and asked, seeing the corpse of the girl who had died.

"Take care of the police; I need to go up and check the apartment." Anton walked toward the building and went up the elevator.

Yoshio, who stayed alone, focused his gaze on the police and said, "I'm a detective; I want you to move all these people first to investigate what is needed."

"Understood, sir!"
