What happens if a demon is left in the human world for a very long time? It gains power—a very evil power that few humans have been able to overcome throughout history. When a demon is in the human body for a long time, it spreads its plague and diseases and can easily control the bodies of different humans.
That is exactly what was happening in this place, so when Anton entered the building, he knew exactly what he would be facing. "We don't have much time..."
Bowden, who looked at Anton amid several people who were apparently guarding him, asked, "Are you in charge of these people?"
"That's correct; you must be a detective. For your own safety and to preserve your peace of mind, I suggest you retreat to the first floor, where you will be safe," said Anton as he approached the monitoring cameras.
Bowden looked at Anton, who was very young, but after learning that he was in charge, he asked, "Who exactly are you, and why were you sent?"
"We are a pest elimination group. Have you seen horror movies, Detective?" Anton did not take his eyes off the monitoring cameras and frowned when a group of firefighters went up the building when he had ordered everyone to evacuate.
Bowden shook his head and asked, "Are you saying you're here to eliminate the supposed demon causing all this?"
"You don't need to believe me, and I don't need your approval to start working... Now that the plague is spreading, those firefighters who didn't evacuate in time will be a serious problem," said Anton, who saw how the firefighters were trying to open the elevator door but instead found blood.
The elevator door was releasing a lot of blood, which terrified the firefighters, who were only there to free those trapped in the elevator. "What is that?"
Bowden stopped looking at Anton and directed his gaze to the camera showing the firefighters working, and everyone could see how the blood was pouring more and more in an exaggerated manner.
"It's too late. We will move on to the direct elimination plan, regardless of the victims we may have to eliminate," said Anton, and the people behind him pulled the cartridges from their rifles and put on special masks covering their faces and eyes before starting to leave the control room.
Everyone was stunned. Do these people want to kill the firefighters and the people in the elevator?
Anton turned around, went to the guard, and said, "Tell the people in this building that everyone from the fifth floor down must wait in the lobby of this building. The others must stay where they are for safety."
At this point, the situation was more serious than Anton had expected, so he immediately reported to the central of the Light Association: "I am Anton ShadowBane with the title of guardian. We are facing a possible complete incarnation of an unidentified demon. We are in the process of cleansing, so I request reinforcements in case of an unexpected escape."
Ignoring the people around him, he looked at the guard, who knew what Anton was doing here, so he cooperated and did what his colleague was not doing. "Wait, what nonsense are you talking about?" Bowden wanted to understand, but he knew this was ridiculous.
But at that moment, unexpectedly, one of the firefighters who had touched the blood coming from the elevator door stopped; his eyes turned completely black, and when a colleague approached him, he grabbed him by the neck. "Ahhhhhh!"
Bowden looked at what was happening in that hallway and was surprised at how, seconds later, the firefighter had killed one of his colleagues by tearing off his jaw.
"What the hell..."
"In the name of God, what was that?" Anton didn't need to look anymore. He walked to the exit where his team was waiting, and after placing a barrier around the building, he went up the stairs.
Bowden, who saw Anton leaving with the others, decided to follow him along with Raúl, who was silent. "Let me accompany you; I can help."
Anton shook his head and said, "You are not prepared to see what we are about to face."
"I won't interfere. I want to know what's going on with this chaos," said Bowden, who was being held back.
Rafael looked at Anton and said, "Sir, I'll take care of him."
Anton sighed, nodded, and, advancing quickly up the stairs, reached the hallway, where the firefighters were mostly acting strangely. Looking at the firefighters, who were all covered in blood, many of the Light agents broke into a cold sweat and raised their rifles, ready to open fire at any moment.
"Human, if you leave this place, I'm sure I won't kill anyone else but the woman inside the elevator. Do you agree to that deal with me?" Anton took a step forward, looked at the firefighter with black eyes, and said, "I don't make deals with demons."
