Episode 54: Drill & Mole

This Giovanni gives off a whole different aura than the two fakes, this one is definitely the real Giovanni.

Giovanni: You've caused me a lot trouble. My headquarters in Celadon City, trying to take over Silph Co. in Saffron City, and all the other times you've encountered Team Rocket. So now I have to step in. Though I'm a fair man, since we're in my gym, we'll have an official sanctioned gym battle, going by my rules of course.

Leon: What rules?

Giovanni: Instead of a one-on-one battle until one of us have no more Pokémon, it's my four Pokémon against the four of you, all at once. Do you understand? If not the doors are already locked so if you were to refuse then I'll kill you right here right now.

Leon: Alright, guys let's go.

Leon, Wart, Ivy, and Otto against Nidoking, Dugtrio, Rhydon and Nidoqueen. All four of Giovanni's Pokémon use Earthquake at the group but Otto uses Fly to get Wart and Ivy off the ground. With Fly Otto throws Wart and Ivy towards the group of Pokémon. Wart uses Surf while Ivy uses Razor Leaf; both attacks hit all four of the Pokémon.

Giovanni: You just left yourselves vulnerable, all of you, Earthquake.

Leon tries to rush in to grab the two but isn't fast enough and also falls victim to the attack.

Giovanni: Rhydon, Rock Slide, Nidoking and Nidoqueen, Thunder, Dugtrio, Dig.

Rock Slide hits Leon, the Thunders hit Wart and Otto, and Dig hits Ivy.

Giovanni: I have to get new executives because this is embarrassing. Earthquake, again.

Otto just barely manages to use Fly to get them off of the ground before moving away from Giovanni.

Otto: What are we going to do? I can't keep you guys up in the air for long.

Ivy: I have a plan but I need some time to charge up. Wart you stay with me and follow my lead. Otto and Leon make sure they can't hit us with Earthquake. Got it?

Otto: Got it.

Leon: Got it.

Wart: Got it.

As soon as Otto drops the two of them on the ground Giovanni tries to use Earthquake again but Otto and Leon use Wing Attack to interrupt the attack. Ivy begins gathering sunlight from windows in the building. Wart also begins charging up water from his cannons for an attack. Otto uses Air Slash to get all four Pokémon close together for Ivy and Wart.

Ivy: Solar Beam.

Wart: Hydro Pump.

The two blast fly towards the Pokémon, knocking out Dugtrio and Rhydon while Nidoking and Nidoqueen manage to dodge it last second.

Giovanni: Ah, I see why my executives had such problem.
