Episode 53: Bird, Seed, Shellfish, & Flame

Ivy: Otto, we're so happy you're okay!

Wart: With an injury that severe I was scared you weren't going to make it.

Rai: Yeah, Giovanni, or I guess the fake Giovannis, are no joke. You should be proud you were able to take on one of his Pokémon all by yourself.

Otto: I'm just happy to be back. Now come on, I want to show you something that'll get us all the way back to Viridian City in no time.

With Fly, she creates a bubble of air to surround herself and her friend in before rocketing away to Viridian City. In less than half an hour they are back in the city. When they return they end up reuniting with Jim.

Jim: Long time no see, looks like you all have become incredible challengers.

Leon: That's to you. We wouldn't know about anything we were going up against if you weren't there.

Jim: Yeah, until I wasn't able to support you champs-in-the-makings. With the gym leader of Viridian City not being around all those responsibilities were thrusted onto me...

Rai: Don't worry, I've been helping these guys with my research of the League since forever ago.

Jim: Thanks little man, couldn't have done it without you. Looks like you won't need my help with Viridian gym now will you?

Rai: I got this, don't worry.

The leave Jim's house to head to the gym.

Rai: So I don't know who the gym leader is but I do know a few things. First is they're a ground type specialist and second they have 4 Pokémon, Dugtrio, Rydon, Nidoqueen, and Nidoking.

Otto: I'll go.

Leon: Are you sure after what just happened?

Otto: Yes, I have to grow pass that defeat and move forward. A flying type would be a great help against a ground type trainer.

Leon: I guess I'll go too.

Wart: And then me and Ivy since we're super effective against ground types.

Rai: Alright then, good luck you all.

Una: Rai, do you want to head to the forest with me? I want to see it again after leaving it for so long.

Rai: Sure, it has been forever since then. We'll meet back with the others after their gym battle.

They walk to the gym, this time the door is unlocked. They walk in, the building pitch black. As the door closes, the lights turn on, revealing the gym leader, Giovanni standing there waiting.

Giovanni: I heard you troublemakers were heading to Viridian City, so I took the time to come here and personally greet you.
