CHAPTER 5 – ON THE WAY TO VIRIDIAN CITY

*Note: I don't know whether to make a harem list because I will include any girl I like in her harem and I repeat, all those that were in my previous fic, will be in this.

I don't understand the Pokemon language, but from her reaction, She was saying something like "it's okay"

I could carry the egg in my arms, but since it's not just any Pokémon egg, it might stand out more than it should, so I put it in my backpack, wrapped it in some blankets my mom gave me, and after picking up Pikachu's plate, we headed straight for Viridian City.

By the way, the egg was a little bigger than the palm of my hand, in case you've been wondering.

Anyway, it was a wonderful day and there were still a few hours until I reached Viridian City, I just hope I don't meet the Spearow on the way, although now that I can see more carefully , I could not only see Pokémon from Kanto, I also saw Pokémon from other regions such as Starly from Sinnoh among other species.

"Pikachu, do you think I should catch a Pokémon?" – I asked Pikachu.

There was still plenty of time left to get to Pewter City, so I should think about catching a Pokémon or two as I have no idea when the Manaphy egg will hatch.

"Pika pi" – Pikachu nodded.

"The problem is that the first gym is rock-type, so we should look for a Water- type or a Grass-type Pokémon" - I said as I thought about it.

The truth is that I had not found a river or something like that, but I supposed that I would reach one soon.

"Pika pi" – Pikachu said.

"Yes, I think I should look at the map" – I nodded.

I have no idea what she said, but I can guess it.

The map is not like in video games, but it is a APP that Professor Oak installed for me, so I just looked at it.

"As far as I can see... if we turn right at the next fork we should reach a small river where we will find a few Water-Type Pokémon, although it is true that it will take us another hour to reach Viridian City... I think we should go and catch a Pokémon there, don't you think, Pikachu?" – I said.

"Pika pi" – Pikachu nodded.

But suddenly, as we were walking, I could hear a robotic voice in my head.

[Your first mission has been issued.

Quest: Catch your first Pokémon.

Reward: 10 gacha tickets.

Oh, a mission, not bad, it's pretty simple and I have plenty of time to accomplish it.

After a few minutes, we arrived at the river.

"Let's see... according to the Pokédex, we can find several Water-Type Pokémon, such as Horsea, Poliwag, Basculin, Magikarp and even Corphish, not bad for being the first route, but now that I can think of it, we could also check if there are Fighting-Type Pokémon in the area, it would also work for us" – I said.

Then I checked my Pokédex once again but I couldn't find any fighting-type Pokémon in the area, although what I did discover is that there were Bunneary who knew Double Kick, it can also be useful for us.

"Let's go, Pikachu" – I said.

"Pika pi!" – Pikachu nodded.

We both looked for a while looking for any Water-type Pokémon in the area, but we couldn't find anything at all.

"Really? Where have all the Pokémon gone?" – I wondered confused.

According to the Pokédex, this type of Pokémon abounds in the area, but I couldn't find even one.

"Pika pi..." – Pikachu said.

"Yes, you're right, I think we should keep looking" – I nodded.

But suddenly, I heard a powerful scream in the distance, it sounded like the scream of a pretty loud Pokémon.

"Come on, Pikachu, I think we've found something!" – I exclaimed.

"Pika pi!" – Pikachu said.

Then, she climbed onto my shoulder and we went in the direction I heard the sound.

When we arrived, I could see something curious.

There was a group of small Bunneary, three of them cowering in fear while another bravely faced a powerful, menacing-looking Gyarados.

"What the hell is going on here?" – I asked myself in amazement.

"Gyaaaaaaa!" - roared Gyarados.

"Neari!" - exclaimed Bunneary.

Suddenly, the Bunneary jumped up and stretched his leg with the intention of hitting Gyarados, however, the Gyarados was almost unfazed by the blow, however, though he did not flinch, the Gyarados seemed to have become angry at this blow and began charging an attack.

"Let's help them, Pikachu Quick Attack!" – I said.

My first battle begins.

"Pika pi!" – Pikachu exclaimed.

Then, a white glow enveloped Pikachu who crashed into the Gyarados making him unable to charge his attack.

Seeing this, the Bunneary became alarmed and looked around to see what was going on.

Seeing Ash, the Bunneary was on guard, as if he wanted to protect his companions at all costs.

"Don't worry, we have come to help" – I said with a confident smile.

The Bunneary stared at me and nodded.

Now that I look closely, the Bunneary was different from the rest, its fur was pink instead of the usual yellowish color, which means that it was a Shiny Pokémon.

"Pika pi" – Pikachu exclaimed.

Quickly, we both looked straight ahead and saw how a completely angry Gyarados expelled a large amount of water towards us.

"Pikachu use Thunder Shock!" – I said.

Pikachu nodded and unleashed a powerful electric attack on the Gyarados, causing the two attacks to collide.

Pikachu's attack was quite a bit more powerful, probably due to her Light Ball.

"Bunneary, it's time, use Double Kick at full power" – I said.

Bunneary nodded and immediately hit the Gyarados twice in the face causing his attack to disappear and he was hit by Pikachu's attack dealing great damage.

When cornered, the Gyarados decided to flee because he knew that he was at a numerical disadvantage, so instead of suffering a great loss, he decided to flee.

Watching him run away, we all sigh, I honestly don't know if I could have won against a Gyarados on my first day as a Pokémon trainer, thank goodness he ran away.

"Uff, it's finally gone, great job, Pikachu, Bunneary" – I said with a sigh of relief.

"Pika pi!" – Pikachu exclaimed.

"Neary" - Bunneary exclaimed.

Bunneary was happy because thanks to this human, she had been able to save her companions.

The rest of Bunneary jumped around me as if they were saying "thank you" but in their own way.

"Haha, you're welcome, it's the least I could do, after all I can't stand to see Pokémon that are being bullied by others and not intervene" – I said.

After saying goodbye once more, the Bunnearys left, well, all but the pink one.

"Neary!" - exclaimed Bunneary.

"Hmm, aren't you going with your friends?" – I asked confused.

"Neary!" – Bunneary denied.

I don't understand what she's saying, but maybe those Bunnearys weren't her companions, she just saw how that Gyarados harassed them and helped.

"By any chance you don't want to be my partner, do you?" – I asked curiously.

"Neary!" – Bunneary nodded.

It looks like this will be the first Pokémon I catch.

"Well, welcome to the group" – I smiled.

Then I pulled out a Pokéball and gently threw it.

Upon seeing the Pokéball, Bunneary gently headbutted it and went inside.

Honestly, it's amazing to see how a Pokémon is caught in real life and not in a video game.

After a shake, the Pokéball stopped swinging and the red light in the center disappeared, implying that the Pokémon had been caught.

"Pikachu, it looks like I've caught my first Pokémon" – I said happily.

"Pikapi pi!" – Pikachu exclaimed happily.

I was going to take Bunneary out of her Pokéball simply to watch as a Pokemon emerge from its Pokéball in real life, but suddenly, the Gyarados that flee earlier emerged from the water with a charged attack.

"Pikachu!" – I exclaimed.

The Gyarados launched a powerful attack just as I caught Pikachu and immediately passed out.

After that attack, they both went flying, luckily, they both landed in the water and were swept away by the current...
