Those are what most of the Pokémon were like. There were no Pokémon with potential above red in the starter Pokémon. 'If I want to actually live decently well in this world, I will need to start out with a Pokémon with better potential.'

--------------------------------------

4 hours later

--------------------------------------

After waiting a while everyone who got picked to become a trainer arrived at the building. They were in one big line and were let in the room with the starter Pokémon 1 at a time.

John decided to line up at the back as he new that they only had 50 Pokémon and there was 54 children in the line including him.

Sure enough about 2 hours later and 50 kids out, a trainer came out of the room.

"Sorry children there are no more Pokémon left. There are now two options, wait for 4 months for new Pokémon to grow up and use them, or you can go outside the walls with a trainer and catch a Pokémon for yourself."

All of a sudden there was a kid who fell to the floor and started crying. After all the stress had had picked up in the last 5 hours he broke down.

"*sob**sob**sob* whhyy mee!!*sob**sob*"

The trainers looked at him in pity but didn't help him.

"Please make a decision in the next 5 minutes as we do not have all day."

As soon as the trainer said that, John raised his hand.

"Yes volunteer!"

"I wish to go outside the walls and capture my own Pokémon sir!"

"Ok that's one decided. There is no going back now volunteer. The trainers to my left will show you to your sleeping area. Volunteer, here, tomorrow morning at 7 sharp. bring a bag with the necessities to survive outside. There will be a trainer waiting for you. Just go to the receptionist and say your name, they will deal with the rest."

"Yes Instructor."

-------------------

5 minutes later

-------------------

After the trainers brought us to our sleeping area, they told us to familiarise with each other and see what we have in common. ' Goddamit, this will be tiring.' thought John.

As John looked around the rooms, he saw that there was only about 15 girls and all the rest were boys. Some of the girls are talking to each other and some are just sitting there doing nothing. Most of the boys were doing the same thing as the girls but as more time passed everyone started to calm down and formed groups.

There was one specific group that seemed to have about 15 people in it. There was around 3 girls and all the rest were boys. I could hear from here that they were going to train against each other to get stronger.

'That is a smart idea but it wont help you much. All of you have Pokémon with red potential. You wont go far unless you try to gain new experiences through battles.' John thought.

'They need to let their Pokémon familiarise with their moves first and then go into battles. Only that way would you be able to survive out there.'
