Alexa gradually nodded her head at him. "Yes, you are an adventurer, isn't it? Since you are not going to enter the Nocturn tower if you are not an adventurer."

She clarified the situation to him and based on the guard's provided information to her, they saw him as well as the other adventurers this man came out of the Nocturn tower.

Nocturn Tower is one of the dungeons that existed in this world. It consisted of 30 floors that had different species of monsters. By killing them, they can get items and monsters' cores that they can sell to their guild leaders and headquarters.

Well, Kai wasn't that dumb to not know the tower she mentioned was the dungeon he came from. Yet, he doesn't know how he supposedly responds to her question.

'I can't lie to her, I should tell her the truth.' He uttered to his mind, then narrowly tilted his head toward her. "Honestly, I just wake up in the bottom part of the dungeon alone. To be clear, there was no someone with me back then. And the reason why I'm still alive right now it's because I fought dozen of monsters until I see the exit. I suffered from extreme hungriness which gave me the thought that I'm going to die there."

Alexa smoothly kneaded her chin, thinking Kai lost some of his memories. "I think you are saying the truth since you spoke all of those words without stuttering. But do you remember, what happened to you before you woke up?"

This time, Kai slowly shook his head as he didn't remember why he awakened in the dungeon in the first place. "Sorry to say, miss Alexa. I can't remember that..."

Although he recalled blur images of who he was back then. Yet, he can't afford to say more information to this woman. Why? It was because of the possibility that he might receive again punishment that much more painful than the last time.

"Don't worry about it, Kai, that's fine. I'm not forcing you to say that you could not even remember." Alexa said in a polite tone, then fixed Kai's position so he could rest. "You want something to eat? Or do you want to rest right now?"

"For now, I just want to rest, thank you for assisting me." He faintly smiled at her.

"Okay, just call me if you need something. I'm going outside to grab some food." Alexa responded to him and left the small room.

Kai was left alone in the room, watching the glittering night sky. He heard some conversation of the creatures passing by, talking about the monster they fought in the tower and how much they earned for today. Also, he was hearing a woman and child crying next to his room.

Father! Father!

Why did you leave us this early! Me and your child need you! Please I'm begging you!

Hearing these words, Kai could not help to close his eyes as he knew there was someone who died in this medical room. Of course, it was inevitable, but still, it was hard to see that someone was suffering for him.

"Even I do not know them, the mother's cry and that child pinched my heart. I feel miserable to them." Kai said inwardly, then covered his face and ears as he wanted to lessen the words he was hearing right now.

Three days had easily passed, and Kai had already recovered from the punishment he received from the system. Back then, Alexa was the one in charge of giving him nutritious food and checking his condition. To be exact, every day Alexa was using her [Healing] ability to cure the part of his body badly burned because of the strong electric shock.

Apart from that, Alexa explained the common source of income in this place which was doing a labor job or fighting monsters inside the dungeon. In a labor job, they should help with building or fixing all the broken structures in this city to earn coins. While being an adventurer, they should kill different types of monsters and sold their cores to their Guild or Adventurer Headquarters to earn coins.

100 bronze coins= 1 gold coin, 100 gold coins= 1 silver coin, 100 silver coin= 1 platinum coin. Yes, silver and platinum coins had a higher value than gold coins. Why? It was because the Silver coins and Platinum coins were good conductors of magic which was the most important thing in this world aside from wealth.

Kai and Alexa also tackled the adventurer's rank. E, D, D+, C, C+, B, B+, A, A+, S, and SS+. These ranks were explanatory for Kai as it was too obvious that the strongest rank among them was the SS+.

Moreover, Alexa declared herself as the C+ healer as it was the letter that appeared when she did an evaluation test. With her kindness and pure heart, she also explained how many adventurers need before having an expedition.

To be more accurate, a certain party raid should have 5 minimum members or must be higher to lessen the casualties that might happen inside the tower. Aside from that, each member must have one of the classes they were needed like a tanker, swordsman, mage, healer, etc. With that, the Party Leader would assign them to a specific job so that they can have an easy expedition.

To begin, sunlight was barely illuminated inside the room through the transparent while Alexa and Kai were looking at each other.

First, Alexa smiled at him with her glistening eyes, then informed him about his condition. "Within three days of healing your body, I can easily that you had a good condition." She informed politely.

"Thanks for all your help, Miss Alexa!" He bowed his head at her to show how he really appreciated all of her help. "Promise, someday I'll pay back you for all the kindness you did to me"

She shook her head and unison. "There's no need for that, Kai. Also, this is my job and my main goal is to heal someone who is in pain."

"No, I owe you big. If that time happens, you should not refuse what I would give to you, okay?" He smiled broadly, then took all the cores he collected inside the Nocturn tower. "This is all the things I have right now, Miss Alexa. Just like what you said, the cores can be exchanged for accumulated coins. Since I don't have any kind of coins in my pockets right now, I'm going to give these cores to pay you for healing me, food, and let me stay here for three days."

Her eyes widened after seeing the numerous cores in Kai's hands. In her mind, these cores might be equivalent to 10 to 15 gold coins. Yet, she was not greedy as the other creatures that inhabited at the Derenium City.

"Eh? I don't need that, Kai. You should hide it--" She paused for a second after Kail held her hands and put all the cores that he had. "W-What are you doing, Kai? I-I said I don't need that!" She stuttered and started to have a red face as it seemed Kai was the first one who gently held her hands.

"No, Miss Alexa, please accept it. This is the only offer I can give to you, also, I will feel bad if you refuse to do so." Kai said, then started to get his belonging which was the spear and the leather armor.

"Thank you!" Alexa narrowly bowed her head at him as she can't see in Kai's eyes that he will not leave the infirmary until she won't accept his offer. "But, where did you plan to go after this?"

Kai scratched the back of his head, then smiled at her once again. "I don't know, I'm just going to rely on where my legs would bring me, hehe~"

After the screen appeared right before his eyes it seemed he already knew what he have to do in this world. But first thing first, Kai was pointing his index finger at the screen and started to ask Alexa.

"Could you see it?"

"See what?" She asked him back in a clueless tone.

"These things?" Kai pointed again his finger to them.

"You're having hallucinations? But I'm sure that you have a good condition... Don't tell me you're pretending to be sick, so you could stay here a bit more?" She was now mocking him.

"No, not just like that. Nevermind..." Kai removed all the screens, then went to the door. 'I guess, I'm the only one who could see it. Whatever.'

Since he can't do a labor job, he decided to become an adventurer. In his mind, he must now start to gather information about what are things he needed to be qualified as an adventurer.

"I'm leaving, Miss Alexa! Thanks for everything, I promise I will come back here to visit you!" Kai waved his hand at her but as soon as he was going to open the door Alexa stopped him.

"Kai, if you don't mind. Do you want to stay at my place, in exchange, you have to pay me for the rent." Out of the blue, Alexa asked him along with a red face.

"Eh? Me? Your place? Live in?"
