CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE - To Take Me Home, Light

Lily and Alex were looking for warmth as the frigid wind assaulted their body. Lily moved positions and buried her face in Alex's exposed chest. Alex drew her in by secretly wrapping his arms around her waist. Lily attempted to open her eyes while letting out a small gasp. She placed her head on Alex's chest and gently wiped her eyes in an effort to clear them. Both of them winced when the room's door burst louder and suddenly.

While Alex was trying to comprehend what was happening, Lily's eyes widened in horror. "ALEX?" When Emily abruptly yelled at him, Alex sprang out of the bed as his heart began to race.

"What?" She became angrier as a result of his death look directed at her. "RIGHT NOW IN MY ROOM." Alex followed Emily as she bolted from the room with a yell. Lily shook her head and laughed before climbing into bed.

"Why? Why were you using her as a bed? Emily's eyes appeared to be both sad and furious. "What's with the shouting?" Alex massaged his head. "Alex? Don't do this, please. She approached him and held his hand. The phrase "You are mine, right?" Emily had angry-looking eyes. She only desired the solution. She instantly regretted saying anything negative about Jun-Sang when he sighed and turned his head away. Say, "Leave me alone."

She smashed the vase on the floor as Alex gave her a blank look before leaving the room.

Lily smirked before returning to her room. Consider your motivation. Your father is the only reason you are here. Shaking her head, Lily grabbed her towel and entered the restroom. Lily exited the restroom while wearing a towel around her. She massaged her hair carefully with a different towel while standing in front of the vanity. The door burst open, exposing Alex, who was startled to see her at that very moment. After a few moments, Lily noticed his image in the mirror and kept working.

"I apologize. I came here to get your response on the file. It is located on a side table. Lily said that without even bothering to look at him. "Oh, right," Alex received the blow. He was keeping a close eye on Soo-Yun as she worked moisturizer into her arms. Lily's neck caught Alex's attention since it was completely covered in hickeys. As the surroundings grew hotter around him due to the memory of the previous night, he bit his lip and turned around. He took off for his room right away. "Stranger guy."

"Mam, we apologize." A worker was trembling in terror at Lily's menacing look. "How could you commit such an error?" She composed herself before carrying on. How was the lock on my cabin damaged, only? Lily squinted her eyes and took a quick look at each and every individual working beneath her on that assignment. I have no faith in any of you. Deeply sighing, Lily motioned for them to move with her index finger. They are "useless people." Her eyes were startled when she realized that the CCTV cameras were also damaged as she entered her workplace. "Who's behind this?" Lily had goosebumps as a result of that.

The individual watched Lily's freak-out figure on the large screen and chuckled. To keep an eye on her at all times, he installed a covert camera in her office.

Lily, you'll never figure out what's concealed. He laughed.

He was about to finish, but one of his staff members knocked on the door and surprised him.

"Come on in." His rich, resonant voice resounded across the workplace. The meeting will start in a few minutes, sir. The employee returned to work as the man nodded his head. He turned to look at Lily, who was immersed in her task. "Lily, I'll be right back." He straightened his black suit before leaving the workplace.

Lily caressed her temples softly while her head was propped up on the chair.

What is happening here, and why are there so many unanswered questions?

Because they are keeping a significant secret from you, Lily. Lily's attention swiftly turned to the door. I said, "What are you doing here?" Alex smiled and sat down. I'm here to transport you somewhere. "Where?" "Come on, just believe me." Her eyes grew very tight. The question "Are you?" After taking a long breath, Lily nodded. "Perfect." James hauled her out of the office after grabbing her luggage. Saying "Slow down." Lily laughed. Someone grabbed Lily's wrist as they were leaving her office, stopping them in their tracks. Lily rolled her eyes shut in irritation. "Where are you taking my wife?" he asked. No concern of yours. James said venomously. She is my spouse. Observe her hand. The ring that I own is being worn by her. Lily closed her eyes after giving her wedding band a quick glimpse.

"A one-year-old wife." After saying that, she jerked Alex's hand and opened her eyes. Lily interrupted him before he could finish his sentence. I'm not your possession. Don't exceed your capacity. We'll go, James. James nodded, and they stepped outside the hallway.

The staff jumped when Alex slammed his office door harder, creating an echo that reverberated across the whole space. Mr. and Mrs. Smith are involved in some sort of scheme. The question "What do you mean?" Two of the workers are chatting about Lily and Alex. Did you not notice? Mrs. Smith was dating Mr. Moon, right? The other participant also nodded in accord. "You're right, but it's none of our business."

Could Mr. Smith have heard us? The staff exhaled a sigh. You little monster, you. Continuing to work, the first employee said to the other.

"Someone also destroyed the CCTV cameras and the lock on my office. I have no idea who or what the individual is doing. James was informed by Lily while she drank her coffee. Don't worry, I will find out.

"How?" Lily asked, taking another drink of her coffee and letting her body sink into the chair. I promise to let you know. Lily grinned while nodding. "We'll visit someone after this. You'll learn everything, I promise. Lily's brows lowered.

I instructed you to call me when the job was finished. Over the phone, Alex gave the caller a warning. "There is no justification for any error." He set his plan down on the crystal window as his aura claimed to be gloomy. Observe them. Tell me about every action they do. After terminating the conversation, he put his phone in his coat pocket. You can't just disregard my existence, Lily.

Mrs Jones was watching some sort of kdramas, and her eyes were glued to the television. Without giving a thought to what his mother was observing, Lily's brother was finishing his schoolwork. As they heard the footsteps, they turned to face the entryway. After watching their beloved Lily with James, a smile slowly spread across their features. Lily's brother sprinted over to her and gave her a bear hug, which caused a slight misstep. Champ abandons her. I want you to meet my daughter. He laughed and released Lily. Mrs. Jones approached her and gave her a hug. After a hearty hug, Mrs. Jones led the woman into the living room. How is Alex doing? Lily's demeanour changed as Mrs Jones's first inquiry was spoken. "He's doing fine," Lily had a straight expression, something Mrs. Jones had never seen before, and it baffled her. "Okay." She grinned and ignored all of her thoughts.

"Return with Alex," I said. Being a little irritated by the constant discussion of Alex, Lily nodded. "I will." As the automobile started up and sped off, she forced a grin on her face.
