THE FIRST TIME

The winter grew colder and all Hermione could think about was that kiss. It was obvious Draco wasn't thinking about it though. He never brought it up let alone look in Hermione's direction since then. She sat at a desk adjacent to his in potions and recently started studying the back of his head instead of the subject. Professor Snape snapped at her multiple times to get her to focus again. All she wanted was for him to turn around and look at her. She found herself longing for his attention. She blamed it on her hormones. If someone else kissed her like that, she'd probably feel the same way.

Before he left the classroom, he slipped a note on her desk. She was hoping it was an invitation to meet her somewhere for another snog. There was something about that kiss that made her replay it in her head over and over again. If she thought about it too long she would have to distract herself so she wouldn't get too worked up. Harry would kill her if he found out what happened but for some reason that just made it all the more exciting. She reached for the note and felt her face flush as she read it.

Quit staring at me. It's creepy.

Fuck, he noticed? Embarrassment took over. Her ears got hot and she stared at the note until she was the last one in the classroom. She read it over and over, studying his handwriting. She crumpled it up and threw it in the waste bin on her way out the door. She tried not to let it bother her as she headed toward the Room of Requirement for the last practice before Christmas break.

She quickly turned her embarrassment into anger as she put all of her frustrations into her spells. She knocked Ron off his feet five times in a row and Harry's "Brilliant!"'s and "Excellent work Hermione!"'s brought back some of her confidence.

Harry wrapped up the meeting and wished everyone a good holiday. Ron was antsy to get out of there and head for the common room. He had told Hermione that the Christmas parties are the best by far. Hermione followed him out and they left Harry and Cho alone.

"It's going to be great, Hermione!"

"I think I'm going to skip out tonight." Hermione held her books to her chest and looked down at her feet. She wasn't in the mood to get drunk or see Draco.

"You sure?" Ron held the prefect door open for her and she nodded then went to her room.

All night she tried to drown out the blaring music with some reading but it was useless. Out of all the unrecognizable voices, Draco's was distinctive. She wondered how he could just kiss her and then go back to hating her just like that. She lay on her side on top of her covers and closed her eyes. She managed to get a few hours of sleep before waking up shivering. She hated how cold it got in the castle during the winter season. She didn't hear the noise anymore and assumed the party was over. She decided to go to the common room and warm up by the fire for a bit.

When she walked into the room, she went straight for the blazing fire. She sat down in front of it and let the hot air warm her up. She didn't even notice someone was sitting in the corner, drinking a tall mug of butterbeer.

"Are you stalking me, Granger?"

Hermione jumped when she heard his voice. She assured herself that she was alone. Why did he have to be everywhere she went?

"Sorry, I didn't see you there." She turned back to the fire and prayed he would just go away. But, of course, he didn't. He got up and grabbed a full mug of butterbeer from the table and walked over to Hermione. He offered her the drink. She was hesitant to take it from him.

"Go on." He waved the mug in her face, spilling some on the rug she was sitting on. She grabbed it before he dumped it all over her. He took a seat next to her. Hermione tried her best to ignore him. She sipped her drink quietly. She didn't want to get drunk, yet here she was. She also didn't want to see Draco, yet here he was.

"You know, Hermione," The sound of him calling her by her first name got her attention. "I'm starting to think you might have a wee crush on me."

"Don't be ridiculous!" She scoffed, rolling her eyes. Appalled.

"Don't think that I don't feel those big brown eyes on me in potions every day." Hermione looked away trying to avoid eye contact. Draco sat back on one of his hands and leaned closer to her. "Hey, I didn't mean anything by that note. I was just trying to get your attention." Hermione still didn't respond or look at him. She could feel her face getting hot. She hid in her mug and drank it until it was gone. She could already feel the buzz coming on.

Draco reached up and turned her head so she was face to face with him. The distance between them grew closer as he planted his lips on hers. Another unexpected kiss. Her lips were still sticky from the butterbeer. She didn't hesitate to kiss him back this time. It's all she's been wanting the past couple of days.

He took control and laid her down on the rug so that he was on top of her, grabbing the empty mug from her and setting it off to the side. His knee pressed between her legs as he hovered. The fire was still blazing in front of them making Hermione even more feverish. She was glad she had a drink, just in case anyone found out she could blame her unusual behavior on the alcohol. The fact that she was making out with the enemy was exhilarating. She didn't want it to stop. Then, it stopped. Hermione blinked as he sat up.

"Wanna go to my room?"

Hermione didn't think about the consequences before making a decision. She nodded and he helped her off the ground. He went up to his room and waited for her to follow. Hermione felt her nerves coming on. She chugged another mug of butterbeer that was left on the table, wiped her mouth, and quietly snuck into his dorm.

His room looked the same as hers except with a green bedspread and an iron headboard. It was tidy which surprised her. She didn't know why she expected it to be a mess. Probably because she spent so much time with Ron she thought all guys were like that.

Draco shut the door behind her and grabbed her face to kiss her again. He backed her up until she fell on his bed. His confidence was intimidating. He pulled off his shirt and threw it to the side. Hermione was impressed with the incredible shape he was in. She blushed at the sight of him shirtless.

He crawled on top of her and pushed her down. Hermione's heart raced as he maneuvered himself between her legs. This was the first time she had done anything like this. Not to mention, he was only her second kiss. She always felt like she was ready though. It was just that she had never been in this situation before or with the right person. She wouldn't call Draco 'the right person' but at least he seemed to know what he was doing.

She blushed again as he ran his fingers through her hair and lifted her neck to kiss her deeper. Her first instinct was to wrap her legs around him. She knew she made the right choice because it felt so good. A little too good. She could feel the moisture build as he thrust himself into her.

He sat up and helped Hermione position herself so that she was laying on the pillows. The smell of him on his sheets was overwhelming. His hands wandered to the waistband of her pajamas and he slowly pulled them down. She was relieved she was wearing a flattering pair of underwear tonight. She noticed his eyes widened as he saw her body for the first time. She even saw him smirk.

He removed the rest of his clothes and helped Hermione take off her top. He went back to grinding and kissed her neck. Hermione didn't feel him start to suck. She was too focused on him jabbing her through her underwear. She whimpered at the pressure. He was well aware that his bite was leaving a very noticeable bruise.

She closed her eyes as he pulled her underwear off slowly. She felt exposed. He soon covered her with his body and guided himself into her. The discomfort made her wince but she didn't really mind it. Even though it was nothing like she imagined, she wanted him to keep going. She arched her back and begged him to go deeper. She felt his hot breath on her neck as he moaned into her ear. Hermione shivered.

After a couple of long minutes of penetrating, Hermione grew bored and hoped he would be finished soon so she could catch her breath. She had been holding it since he started. She tried not to make a sound or open her eyes until it was over. With a quick motion, Draco pulled out and finished on her stomach. She looked down and grimaced at the mess.

Draco got himself dressed before handing her a towel to clean herself off. He gathered her clothes off the floor and gave them to her in a bundle. She shook as she put on her shirt and pulled her hair out of her collar. When she was finished pulling up her pants, Draco plopped himself on his bed.

"See ya around, Granger."

Hermione took that as an invitation to leave. She didn't know why she expected to stay the night with him. She staggered to her room with an empty feeling and felt slightly humiliated. She couldn't fall back asleep that night. She lay on her side with her hands between her thighs trying to relive the throbbing ache. She felt regret and worried she would never want to do it again.
