1.16 Another mess in the garden

"These children never listen, do they?" Cruella sighed, leaning her head against the window in the library, seeing as the children ran into the garden happily. A small smile spread on her face as she turned away, pulling her wand out of her sleeve.

Meanwhile, the three children were now in the garden, in a circle along with Sir Okumura behind them to monitor. Blake fished out the crystal dice from his pocket and held it in front of him. Flora immediately recognised those dice, since she was the one who gave them to Blake. She had a prideful look on her face as she watched Blake input his mana into the dice. Again, the dice glowed a mysterious light blue colour as Blake threw the dice into the grass and watched it tumble.

One of the dice stopped at the number 3 while the other stopped at the number 4. A total of 7. The children, along with Sir Okumura watched as the mana surrounding the pair of dice seeped into the ground. Suddenly, all four of them were surrounded by tall spikes made of ice. Although amazed, Sir Okumura's instinct was to pull out his sword.

"Is anyone hurt?" Sir Okumura asked, turning around and seeing the two younger children's eyes sparkling with amazement as they stared at their bigger brother.

"Brother! That was amazing! How did you do that?!" Flora asked, gripping Blake's hand tightly in amazement.

"Bwofer, kool! (Brother, cool!)" Sebastian exclaimed happily with a giggle.

"I... somehow did it, I guess," Blake laughed and placed his hand on both of his siblings' heads.

"Blake! Ice?! Seriously?!" A voice from afar was heard. It was obviously familiar to the children as they stood up and saw the same silver blue-ish hair they are all familiar with.

"Mother!" Flora exclaimed happily and waved at her mother. Her mother sighed and waved back with a gentle smile.

"Gosh, you're lucky I have at least learned a few fire spells, Blake," the Duchess sighed. She held up her wand in front of her and mumbled a spell under her breath. Slowly, a serpent-like creature made out of fire slithered out of the Duchess's wand and slid on top of the ice, melting it at the touch of its serpent body.

The ice parted into two as Cruella walked towards the children elegantly, surrounded by a wall of ice. She looked extraordinarily elegant as she walked forward. The ice complimented her sliver blue hair as her red eyes contrasted to her white porcelain skin. She truly looked like the ice queen, a perfect match to the rumours around her. An icy cold beauty, soft and caring towards her family, but cold towards strangers and enemies.

Her soft gaze landed on the three children as she crouched down and propped her chin upon her palm. She sighed and placed a gentle hand on Blake's head, ruffling his hair before turning to her other children. "Did you have fun?"

"Yep! Brother is amazing at magic, mother!" Flora exclaimed excitedly, gripping onto Cruella's white dress.

"Amavwing! Amavwing! (Amazing! Amazing!)" Sebastian shouted happily as he too gripped onto Cruella's dress and jumped up and down.

"Your brother has excellent talent in magic, doesn't he?" Cruella giggled, running her hand through Sebastian's thin hair softly. "You can do whatever you want in the world, you can be just like your brother if you want. Your father and I will support you through it."

Flora gripped Cruella's dress tightly in her small hands before dropping her head, before speaking, "Mother," She called out to Cruella. The Duchess turned her head and held Flora's hand gently.

"Yes, my dear?" Cruella replied, a soft smile adorning her face.

"May I learn swordsmanship from Sir Okumura?"
