Cool fruit!

Alex gawked. "What the fuck?! Since when can you fly?!"

Shanks, one of the men falling down, laughed. "Bow down before me, mortal! Swear fealty to me and I shall bring you divine revolution!"

Suddenly the man with Shanks bonked him on the head with a cane. "It's my devil fruit." Issho said, proudly.

Alex chuckled at Shanks before looking at Issho with awe. "That's a cool fruit! What is it? Fly- fly fruit?"

Issho and Shanks landed on the ground and Issho pointed at Lucky, who was trying to use the distraction to disappear into the crowd. Lucky suddenly face planted as the gravity around him increased.

"It's gravity." Issho said simply as he put his cane back down and smiled.

Alex and Shanks looked at the power with inspired eyes. "Woah! So cool!" Shanks called out.

Alex nodded. "I had to deal with this other guy who used something similar. It was a pain in the ass. I'm glad I don't have to fight you."

Issho's ears perked up. "Another one?"

Alex nodded as he tilted his head up, acting like a mentor teaching his student. "This guy didn't seem to be able to increase gravity or anything, but he could flip it. Like, he made me fall sideways."

Issho pointed his cane sideways. "Like this?" He asked as Alex moved sideways slightly, but remained on his feet.

Alex shook his head. "It was more like he changed the way gravity was moving, like to me it looked like the world flipped 90 degrees."

Issho nodded in understanding. "That seems like a tricky one."

Alex chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck. "Tell me about it! I had to fight him on a boat too!"

Shanks laughed as he remembered it. "Is that why Rayleigh threw you at the marines?"

Alex sighed and threw up his arms. "A mans gotta do what he's gotta do. And sometimes, you need to become a cannon ball that's thrown by an old man."

Shanks and Alex chuckled together while Issho smiled softly. "I wish I could hear more of your tales, they sound enthralling."

Alex smiled and nodded. "We'll tell you all about them, right after we deal with this guy." Alex said as he pointed back at Lucky.

Issho and Shanks nodded and turned their attention to the more pressing matter at hand.

The three men walked over to Lucky, who was still on the ground. The crowd of people had grown in size and was now forming a ring around, eagerly awaiting the next development in this dispute. People were shoving past one another in order to get a better view of the leader of this island, the formerly respected and revered godfather of the Luciano family, crawling on the ground, bloody and battered.

Alex reached the ground just before Lucky and Shanks and Issho stood a step behind him, on either side. From the crowd, one kid pushed through and broke into the circle. Shanks looked back and grabbed him when he realized it was Buggy.

As people processed the situation that was happening, many of them felt like they were obligated to stand up to the blood soaked demon with white hair and red eyes, who was seemingly threatening their godfather, and by proxy, them. However, no one spoke up, the fear had petrified them, locking their joints in place.

Alex's lips shifted and revealed an evil looking smile. He reached into his Lugh and pulled out another cigar before handing it to Lucky, who had lost his in the fight. Lucky's hand tentatively received the gift and Alex's hand shifted into a lighter and lit it for him, while also lighting a cigar for himself.

"Anything you want to get off your chest?" Alex asked as he looked around. "We have the perfect audience."

Lucky took a shaky breath through his warped chest and struggled to exhale. "N-nothing." He failed at excluding the confidence he had attempted to.

Alex sighed and shook his head. "Why do the bad guys always have to drag things out?" He sighed again, like he was emphasizing his point. Alex stretched out one hand and it morphed into different types of tools used in torture. "Looks like we have to do this the hard way." Alex commented.

Lucky, who was a seasoned veteran in criminal activities, instantly recognized the tools and understood their utility. "W-wait!"

Alex paused, a few inches from Lucky's body. He looked down at the man, expectantly.

Lucky gulped and coughed as he accidentally took an unexpected hit of the cigar. Alex and Shanks chuckled as they waited for Lucky to catch his breath again.

"I-I can't say anything! I'll be killed!" Lucky said in a panicked voice.

Shanks grabbed his stomach and gave a hearty laugh. "Dahahaha! Is this guy an idiot?"

Alex scratched his head and sighed. "I mean… yeah."

Lucky looked confused. "What? I really will be killed! You don't have any clue who's backing me! They are ruthless! I can't go against them!"

Alex used soru to flash out of the crowd before returning a second later, holding an object in his hand.

Alex pointed a pistol at Lucky and pulled back the hammer of the gun. "Maybe this will help you understand. You're not in the position to negotiate." Alex's smile returned to his face as Lucky stared down the barrel. "Nor do you have to luxury to worry about what MIGHT happen in the future." Alex continued.

Lucky's cigar fell out of his mouth and hit the hard stones beneath him. Sparks sprinkled around the ground before burning out in a second at most. "I-I didn't want to do any of it! I was forced too!"
