Journey to the East

Without prolonging the conversation, he put his cape over his shoulders and left the hospital room, with the other Blood Moon pirates fallowing closely behind him.

"Kalifa, see if you can sell this Devil Fruit and buy some necessities for us, I'll try to bring back a good ship for our use. Also buy some eternal poses, we might need them." Said Lucci.

"Yes, captain." Replied Kalifa still retaining her skills as a secretary.

The Blood Moon pirates took their day off to relax after the last few hard days, all except Kaku and Blueno who have to fallowed Lucci to a more secluded place where Lucci started to change his form drastically. His body turned in to a big and horrifying bat like monster, one big enough to carry a boat like Going Merry in its claws like nothing.

Even Kaku and Blueno who have train since a young age took a few steps back in shock at the sight of the giant creature before them.

"Hurry up and hope on my back but make sure not to fall, after all we have quite a long distance to travel!" Said Lucci in a laud voice.

The two jumped on his back and caught tightly on it as he stared to flap his giant wings, slowly rising from the ground and in to the air. After a few minutes of adjusting to his new form, Lucci started to increase his speed, and soon the town of Spring Queen disappeared from their view.

"Hey... Lucci you still didn't mention why we are going to East Blue!" Said Kaku as Blueno listen quietly.

"Well, I suppose it's time to share this information with you, too. We are going to hunt down a former legendary figure of our world known as the Golden Lion from the same generation as the late king of the pirates, Gol D. Roger!" Said Lucci with clear excitement coming from his voice.

"Golden Lion?... You mean Golden Lion, Shiki is still alive?" Asked a very shaken Kaku.

"Yes, he has been hiding in East Blue plotting his comeback for almost twenty years but sadly for him old age and his previews injuries have caught up to him. Now he is barely stronger than the pirate who attacked Enies Lobby. So this is the perfect moment for us to take his fruit and maybe his belongings as well, they will propel us to one of the most influential pirate crews out there!" Explained Lucci with a small smile on his face.

"But how can you know where he is hiding when even the marines have no idea?" Asked a curious Blueno.

'Tsk... They did notice rather fast!' Thought Lucci.

"How else ? Of course, it's due to the new ability I got after my life and death struggle, thanks to it, I got a lot of random knowledge which we'll aim to maximize its value and grow stronger for example some knowledge is all about the three kinds of haki which I'll share with the crew after we finish this mission." Replied Lucci keeping up the facade.

After his answer, Lucci also offered them an in-depth explanation about haki and its uses, which brought a new wave of determination for the two former CP9 members due to the possibility it brought for strength improvement.

The three of them become rather quiet after this, sometime shifting the conversation to some random topics, other times sharing details about the mission and what they aim to obtain from it.

More than half a day passed by in the same manner as they flew over the blue ocean, enjoying the ride.

Out of nowhere down below them, a strange ship started to become visible and Lucci happened to know who was on board of it. It made him very happy, inwardly patting himself on the back for picking the luck passive trait as his second wish.

It was the Foxy pirates, a very notorious pirate group who specialize in stealing the crewmates from different ships using a very old pirate game named Davy Back Fight. But what attracted Lucci attention is not the crew in general, but the Devil Fruit of their captain Foxy, the Slow-Slow Devil Fruit from the Paramecia type. A very scary fruit in a powerful person hands, it works in similar fashion as the fruit of Boa Hancock, and can even be classified as a special Paramecia Devil Fruit like the Hobby Hobby Devil Fruit and Hollow Hollow Devil Fruit.

"You two be ready, we are going to board that ship!" Said Lucci.

"Is anything special about that pirate crew, Lucci?" Asked Blueno.

"About the crew? No, absolutely nothing special about them, they are quite weak, but their captain has a very good Devil Fruit especially fitting for Kumadori, so we have to take it from their hands." Said Lucci.

"A fruit fit for him? Hahaha... I can't wait to see what kind of Devil Fruit will be a good mach for him." Said Kaku with a smile.

For the Foxy pirates was a normal day so far, filled with booze and parting while looking for their next target. But suddenly a big shadow come above their ship taking out their sun prompting them to watch up, only for them to come face to face with a big monstrosity that awake even the most drunk crewmate.

"C-C-Captain!!!!... A monster!!!" exclaimed Porche.

However, just as Foxy looked up and was ready to use his fruit, it was too late as a wave of conqueror haki hit everyone on their boat, putting them all to sleep. After which, the three Blood Moon pirates descended beside Foxy, with Lucci using his life manipulation power to extract his Devil Fruit from his unconscious body.

"Are we going to finish them, captain?" Asked Blueno.

"Hmm... No, let them live, after all they did offer us a pretty nice gift, don't you think?" Said Lucci not wanting to just get rid of a funny guy like Foxy.

"Let's go before they get up, we still have a long way to go!" Said Lucci.

And so they continued their journey all the way to the Reverse Mountain, where he saw Laboon floating around peacefully, a very nice sight for a person who only got to see him on a black and white paper. He might have the memories and training of a killer, which make him capable to easily kill without remorse when needed. But in his heart, he was just like any random person who got the chance to see everything here for real, finding actually hard to do it, especially to persons who are not some monsters without salvation. That's the true reason he did not kill Foxy and his crew.

After he got to see the sight that is the Reverse Mountain, he did not linger there any longer. He passed over the calm belt and flew directly towards the closest island, where Shiki flying archipelago, might be located as there were reports of strange phenomena of islands going missing. After he got in the specific sea area, he increased the altitude and let his passive luck take effect.

Even with his passive luck, it still took him more than a day of flying around to finally see the archipelago, it was really magnificent. He immediately used a combination of observation haki together with his Devil Fruit power echolocation to boost its range, similar to how Enel used his electromagnetic waves to see and hear everything in his domain. And soon enough he could see and hear everything on every flying island, which led him to finding the base of Flying pirates where there was a party held.

"Kaku, Blueno you two hide in Blueno door dimension and wait for me to finish this. After which Blueno you have to get Kaku to the fruit as fast as possible because this place will for sure fall after I finish Shiki, and we can't let that happen now, can we? After all, this will be our new home!" Said Lucci.

Both of them agreed with his command and got to work. He then turned in to his hybrid form and fell down right in front of the old lion, who at this point in time could not even use haki, so he could not feel him coming.

"Golden Lion, Shiki you are quite a hard man to find do you know that?" Said Lucci as he released a wave of conqueror haki to stun some of his man inside this room.

"And who might you be, brat, to dare show yourself in front of me you must be quite brave but seeing you are one of the few owners of that power I can't say I'm surprised! So tell me what is your reason for showing up here?" Said the old lion, not even bothering to rise up from his throne, managing to keep up his honor as one of the legendary persons in the seven seas.

"Why would someone like me even bother coming to you if not for your head Golden Lion!? A member from an old generation like you must know the law of this sea, the weak are vanquish by the strong or in your case should I say the young? To let someone like you who has less than 10% of his former strength live is an insult to your former self, but don't worry, everything you own will become mine!" Said Lucci full of confidence, unmoved by Shiki increasing anger.

"Is that so? It seems the people on this sea have forgotten my might if even a brat like you dare to challenge me! I'll beat you in to submission, brat, and let you learn why no one messes with the Golden Lion Shiki! Come!" Said Shiki as he started to float in the air.
