Chapter 87: The undead samurai
"That's not Brook!, is not even a skeleton!" Said Nami.
"So…you have been busy, spying on me!. What did you see?!" Demanded Hogback.
"Ah!" Usopp panicked. "We didn't see anything! We definitely didn't see the zombie you are making!"
"I suppose it doesn't matter anymore. The night attack will commence soon. Ryuma, can you take care of them?" Asked the doctor.
The samurai chuckled. "Yohoho!, Leave it to -." His gaze turned to Nami.
"Now that I look closer, there is quite the beauty over there. Perhaps you would be kind enough to show me your panties?"
"The hell I would!...wait, he really does talk like Brook!" Nami realized.
"Fos Fos. Don't compare him to that skeleton. This one is on a different level than the rest of my creations. He is a zombie general with a special body from a man that came from Wano!." Hogback could not help but brag about his creation.
"Nami, take those two and ran away!" Vivi said while not taking her eyes off the samurai.
"What are you saying, Vivi?!. Just beat him up like the rest and we leave together!." Shouted Chopper.
"This is different, the doctor was not empty bragging. This guy is a very dangerous one. Now…LEAVE!" Shouted Vivi with a tone that did not leave room for argument.
Nami and Usopp looked at each other. Usopp and Chopper started running. Nami looked back at Vivi for a moment before leaving too.
"Don't you dare to lose now."
"You can't escape!" Ryoma quickly attacked the trio who were running away.
Vivi used soru to get in his way and took the opportunity to punch him as hard as she could.
Ryoma went flying and crashed against the wall, creating a lot of rubble.
"What?!" Doctor Hogback was shocked. He has never seen Ryoma being hit before. He looked at Vivi with a hint of fear.
The samurai got from under the rubble and cleaned his clothes.
"Not bad…I did not expect to find a worthy opponent after all these years."
Ryoma looked at Hogback.
"You leave too, I wish to have a private duel with this lady."
"Yes…" Hogback turned to his servant. "Let's go Cindry, we need to catch those three. Lord Moria will not be happy if we let them keep running around the mansion."
Ryoma waited until the two of them left without making a move.
"Now then, let's begin. But first…my name is Ryoma, a samurai from Wano, may I know the name of the person I am about to kill?."
Vivi smiled. "There is no need, you will not be killing me."
Ryoma lowered his position and placed a hand over the handle of his sword.
"As you wish. You will be buried in a nameless grave then….Hanauta sanshou"
The samurai passed next to Vivi at a speed that she could barely follow and she felt his sword pass through her body several times.
"Yahazugiri!" Ryoma sheathed back his sword after finishing his attack, expecting Vivi to drop dead at any moment.
Instead, he was surprised when she moved right behind him and aimed both hands at his back.
"Double shotgun!" Both of Vivi's arms exploded into hundreds of small water bullets, hoping to destroy as much of Ryomas body as possible.
But Ryoma was not one of the most terrifying samurais of Wano without reason.
His sword became imbued with a dreadful aura as he moved it to block as many water bullets as possible. Some of them still hit him on his shoulders and legs, but he avoided any fatal injury.
'Shit, that was my best chance to end this quickly!'Thought Vivi.
"I see…normal attacks will not work against you," Ryoma observed as Vivi recalled the water lost and reformed her arms.
"I have heard about people with bodies like those. I will have to get serious then.
The samurai sword started to become darker in color and gained shine to it.
"Ryuo!"
'Of course, he can use armament haki…I'm in a bit of trouble now.' Thought Vivi.
Ryoma made his move and disappeared from the spot.
Vivi did not know what movement technique he used but its speed was comparable to soru.
She knew where the attack was going to come from but only had time to cover her face. As long as he doesn't pierce her brain or cut her head, she should be able to regenerate. Or at least that's what she thought since she has never really pushed the regeneration to its limits.
Ryoma was aiming for her chest. Vivi felt the sword cutting deep into her flesh, almost reaching her inner organs.
"Urgg!" She clenched her teeth and withstood the pain as blood poured out of the wound and into the stone floor.
'He may actually be faster than the Vice-Admiral I fought. Even knowing that he was going for a frontal attack, I had no time to react.'
There was a fizzing sound as her wound closed and here gained a light shine to them.
Ryoma looked at her with interest.
"Regeneration too?...what an interesting foe. Then, I guess I will have to cut you into pieces!."
"Like I'll let you!...soru!" Vivi started to move around Ryoma, looking for any openings but could not find one.
'Then, I'll make one!'
"Blast!" She sends a strong wave of pressured water toward the samurai.
Ryoma avoided it easily and moved closer to her.
'Okay…now!'
As soon as the samurai was close enough, she made her move.
"Shotgun!" Her arms exploded bullets went aiming for the samurai's head.
Ryoma moved completely out of the way of the explosion like he was already expecting the attack and then he appeared behind Vivi.
"That move has a big weakness, it leaves your back exposed."
The samurai left those words out before preceding to cut Vivi in half.
