Chapter 5 MarineFord part1

After I sort out my dilemma concerning my future path, I decided to wait for the marine personnel to arrive at the island. One thing was sure that I am not in any of the blue seas but instead, I am at an island in paradise in a grand line sea. The reason for this theory is that there is no way 70 million bounty pirate was sailing the blues unless he is like Deflamingo who was also involved in the underworld of this world.

And all the clues about Jacob suggested that he was not related to the underworld mafia of this world. Because if he have any connection them he would have surely mentioned them to save his life like those rich kids do in wuxia. ' you don't know who my friends are' like shit, no he didn't mention them because he has no connection with them like most of the pirates.

he was a simple-minded pirate who only knew how to loot, Rape and destroy other people's property.

So if he does not have any connection to the underworld then why would he be in a blue sea. He was not like shanks who loved adventure.

Second is that with such low bounty he would not travel in another half of the grand line sea known as the new world. and none of his crew members know any of the haki which in the new world technically most of the people know but he knows about Logia devil fruits.

So I am definitely in paradise.

Now how I know the Marines are coming to this island. well, a 70 million pirate landed on an island they will definitely come to it. That much was certain in one piece world.

So I am just waiting for them to come and offer me the joining of the marine. Which they will definitely do because of my logia powers.

The Marines come late in the evening at the time of the sunset.

P.O.V. marine REAR ADMIRAL KOGA from marine G 2 base, Paradise

My name is Koga and I am a rear admiral at the marine G2 base. I am turning 65 years old this year and sooner my retirement is also nearing with each year. and with old age comes the old age problems. not that I care so much about it. After my retirement, my family will still reside in marineford that's the policy after all and even if I don't want to reside in marineford, no pirate will dare to come after me because if they did then all of the Marine forces will hunt them down.

But I wanted to live a very leisure lifestyle after retirement and that is only possible if I do increase my marine credits.

Marine credits are merit points upon which you are provided privilege after or during duty. You can buy anything from marine's with the marine credits whether they be powerful devil fruits or a sword. I have around 400000 marine credit. if we have to convert them in beri then they will be converted at a rate of 1 marine credit equals 100 beri plus all the safety and guarantee job for my future descendants.

So yes, I have accumulated quite a sum in a sense but I want more who doesn't want. That's why I am trying to catch pirates nonstop for the past few months.

That's why when one day before I got the news that 70 million beri pirate is going to long spring island, I prepared my crew and sailed toward the long long island. I just hope that the pirates should be there and haven't caused too much harm to the people of the island.

Though I have very little hope for the town of long spring Island. I just hope that I am not too late for justice.

p.o.v. Lloyd a normal marine soldier on the Koga's ship.

When we reach the long spring island. we saw the pirate ship at the port of the long spring island. It took us around 2 days to reach there and we have a little hope that we will found the pirates there.

I was for one praying that they should not be there because I don't want to fight with them because even if we win we, will have casualties and they will be of us normal soldiers. we are just cannon fodders here. so yes, I was praying and looks like my prayers were not answered and so I steeled my guts.

We found out their ship but no one was there so we marched toward the town. When we reached there I was so shocked that my eyes literally come out.

Koga sama was holding his breath, I can tell it but there was no outer reaction on his face.

We saw nothing. There was nothing there. All the buildings and people were missing but there were burning marks all over the place.

And then I saw something which I will not forget for my whole life.

A young boy of 20 something age was sitting next to a tortured dead body. the dead person has no eyes, ears, or hands. There were several burn marks on his body and even his crotch area was burned. His mouth was open and you can see the burns inside.

I have seen what pirates do but this was on another scale. Then I tried to see the face of the dead person and I was shocked again because I know this person he was the pirate whom we want to arrest. looks like he chews more than he can.

But I was happy that my life was saved.

Then I saw our rear admiral he was somewhat smiling.

Koga p.o.v.

When I reached the island I saw the pirate ship there on the port of the island but there were no pirates on it. So I marched toward the town with my marine soldiers.

When I reached the town there was nothing except the burning marks on the earth where once stood a cheerful town filled with happiness.

' I am late' I think and promise justice on their behalf. I was disturbed by the sight but I did't let it show on my face.

Then I see a very tall boy of age 20 something sitting in front of a mutilated corpse. When I saw the corpse face I was stunned it was the Captain of the explosive pirates Jacob bomb.

I smile at that.

And then I moved towards the boy to inquire what happens here.

When I get near the boy, he turns his face toward me, he was a good looking boy but what caught my eyes was the fire burning inside his eyes they were full of resolve and passion.

I was sure he was going to join the marine if I offer and might make it to a rear admiral post.

If I was slightly unhappy about not capturing the pirates then now I was not. Because there are various ways a man can earn merits and taking in a good talent for marine was also one of them. and recommending him to HQ will grant me the same number of marine credits as it would have granted me for capturing the pirate.

" Can you tell me what happens here," I asked in a soothing voice.

" 'Pirates' come when I was hunting in the forest and killed everyone and when I return I killed every single one of them " he said in a near-emotionless voice. But I catch the disgust and anger when he said the word pirate. I have struck the gold this boy was going to make it big with this determination.

" Not to doubt you but how did you manage to kill him and where are other corpses if you killed every single one of them including the town's people's corpses which were killed by the pirates " I inquired again. I truly can not believe that he killed them all it was not possible.

he might have a devil fruit then it might be possible. I am not doubting him but if he has truly killed every single one of them then his potential is at least of vice-admiral grade and I am not that lucky to find out such a gem.

I don't even have a devil fruit. I wanted a devil fruit as it grants unimaginable powers but I never have the luck to find a suitable one and those that I can afford with my marine credit are not so powerful.

"I burned all of them and only kept his corpse to show you all" he again answer, in a depressed voice this time.

" how," I ask. his answer made no sense how did he burn all of these people. His answer made no sense to me. Did he use some kind of gun to burn all of those people to a degree that not even their bones were left?

I was beyond surprise and shocked by his action to that question.
