Garp's pov

After my short vacation which I spent with Ace and Luffy, I got back on my duties as a marine and sailed all the sea looking for pirates.

One day however, Bogard came into my room looking anxious.

"Boss, we have a problem", he blurted out. His face told a story, one where he might have done something very bad.

"What is it", I said raising an eyebrow. What he could say might ruin my whole day.

"The Rokushiki Manual, it's gone!", he screamed.

What! Who could have taken it? We docked on too many islands to simply backtrack and catch the culprit.

We were in quite the conundrum.

Ace's Pov

It has been a month since Garp and Bogard left the island. Needless to say, I don't think they caught on to my nefarious scheme.

Even if they inevitably found out about the missing manual, I do not think he's going to look at his adopted grandson as a main suspect.

I have been training my Rokushiki ever since Garp left. Things have been a little slow in terms of how good my Rokushiki mastery is.

I'm only able to walk on the air for 2 kicks with my Geppo. It has been frustrating me, as my Geppo is probably the best move of the Rokushiki.

My Tekkai isn't where I want it to be either. It only gives me a little more durability and I can't hold it for that long. I have to time it perfectly and that could be very difficult without Observation Haki.

All the other moves were not where they needed to be too. I shouldn't lose patience though. I still all the time in the world to master these techniques.

When I was practicing my Rokushiki techniques, Luffy came up to me and ask me something.

"Ace, you're so cool! Can you teach me how to do that", he said referring to when I double jumped in the air with Geppo.

Luffy wants to learn Rokushiki? I don't know how I feel about it. He has a devil fruit. He should focus on maximizing its capabilities so it awakens. Especially one like the Hito Hito No Mi, Model: Nika.

"You should try to make techniques with your devil fruit instead of Rokushiki", I said which he pouted but understood what Ace meant.

(A week later)

I kept on training with my Rokushiki techniques. It was progressing slowly but at least it's progressing.

In my free time, I read up on the Navigational Manual Garp gave me. By the time I'm 18, I'll know more than enough navigational skills to traverse the sea.

I have also been working on building a ship to cross the sea with. It's not going to be anything special but It will at least be able to travel with.

(1 week later)

As of right now, I'm traversing the forest in hope of a opponent to test my Rokushiki techniques on.

I am finally confident in my Rokushiki techniques that I think I could test them on some of the animals in the forest.

As I turned to my side, I could see a monkey with bloodshot eyes in the trees. He had a menacing grin to fit its psychotic eyes. It looked like it was hiding

As I saw the monkey, I realized the horrifying truth. This monkey has been following me around for a while and it was waiting for the perfect time to strike.

As we had a stare off, we made a mutual agreement in our head. One of us will be victorious while the other will be killed. It was me or the stupid monkey.

I got out my cutlass and immediately went on the offensive.

I jetted towards the monkey with [Geppo], kicking the air to launch me to the tree where the Monkey is hiding in.

The monkey was surprised by the sorcery I was committing but it was very confident in its abilities.

It jumped out that tree launching itself towards me. Now I could see more of the monkey. It was very muscular and it's arms were long as hell.

As it was about to hit me, I swung my sword and hit the monkey with my blunt side, sending it down to the ground. I could have beheaded it there but I needed to test my other first.

I landed on the ground safely waiting for the monkey to get up. I laughed seeing that I had the upper hand.

Apparently the monkey didn't like that, as it lunged towards me with the intent to severely mutilate me.

I stick my cutlass in the dirt before tensing all my muscles. This is the move called [Tekkai]. It hardens the muscles far greater than most normal humans.

The monkey took it's claws and slashed my chest only for it to not break skin. I proceeded to kick the beast in the air when I finally decided to end the animal's life.

I grabbed my cutlass out of the ground ready to do the finishing technique.

"Rankyaku : Sword Style!", I yelled at the top of my lungs.

Holding my sword in my right hand, I swung my sword horizontally, creating a powerful compressed blade of wind to the monkey.

It cut the monkey's head clean off.

That technique was the Rankyaku of the Rokushiki but instead of using my leg, I use my cutlass to cut the air

As the body of the monkey and the now separate head hit the floor, I smiled seeing I was victorious. I raised my right hand to the sky, symbolizing my victory and the fact I was still standing.

As I walked home, I smiled because transmigrating as Ace is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

It's like I have an actual real shot to accomplish something amazing, and I'm going to do that.

I have a question for y'all.How long are you willing to wait for the story to start( Ace actually setting out on sea). How much chapters of Ace not being a pirate y'all willing to stomach.
