Chapter 106: The Plan of the World Government

When one of the Admiral candidates, Tokikake, led his fleet to this important branch of the Navy in the New World, the scene was unexpectedly desolate. The base, previously under the control of another Admiral candidate, Momousagi, was completely abandoned. Not a single Marine was in sight.

It didn't take long for Tokikake to piece together what had happened. Momousagi had returned, taken command of all the sailors, and departed with several top-tier warships from the G-6 branch. Given her long-standing control over the base, it was no surprise that the entire fleet had defected with her.

Both Tokikake and the Navy Headquarter, still recovering from the aftermath of the war, had not anticipated such a bold move from Momousagi. That she would dare to take action in such a tense situation was unthinkable.

"Damn Shiro, it's all his fault! If it weren't for that kid, Momousagi wouldn't have betrayed the Navy like this. It's infuriating!" Tokikake grumbled as he surveyed the empty base. His frustration grew as he realized his chances of ever confessing to Momousagi were now even slimmer. And all of this could be traced back to Shiro, the young Rear Admiral who had captured her heart.

Across the seas, no one other than Shiro could have driven Momousagi to such lengths. Over the years, Tokikake had often watched over Momousagi, aware of her growing connection with Shiro. That she would betray the Navy for him was shocking but not incomprehensible.

Still, this didn't make it any easier to accept. Shiro was now one of the world's most notorious criminals, with a bounty of 3.58 billion Belly, having established a new force in the calm belt alongside Amazon Lily. His alliance with the Kuja Pirates and his leadership over defected Marines posed a significant threat to the World Government and Navy Headquarter.

But to Tokikake, Shiro's forces, a pirate Empress, defected Marines, and a small pirate nation—were no match for the combined might of the World Government and Navy. Momousagi would come to regret her choice, he was sure of it.

"Vice Admiral Tokikake, we've found traces of CP0 in the base. They seem to have been here for quite some time," reported a sailor, interrupting his thoughts.

Before Tokikake could respond, a CP0 agent wearing a white mask appeared before him. "Vice Admiral Tokikake, you're too late. Former Vice Admiral and Admiral candidate Momousagi left with the G-6 branch fleet a day ago. She is currently making her way to the Calm Belt in the first half of the Grand Line," the CP0 agent said with cold disdain.

Tokikake scowled. "CP0? Why didn't you stop her if you knew her whereabouts? Why just let her go?"

The agent's voice remained icy. "We have no intention of stopping her. The World Government has laid a trap, targeting both Momousagi and Shiro. Your team is to assist us."

Tokikake understood immediately. The World Government planned to use Momousagi to eliminate Shiro. It was a cold, calculated move. He sighed, lamenting that if only Momousagi had accepted his feelings, he would have done everything to protect her.

The Moon

Meanwhile, on the moon, Enel, the self-proclaimed god, was facing the most humiliating defeat of his life. Standing opposite him was Shiro, the man who had shattered his arrogance. Despite his mastery of the Thunder Fruit, Enel found himself powerless against Shiro's overwhelming strength.

For the first time, Enel felt true helplessness. Shiro's strength was unlike anything he had encountered, far surpassing even the Straw Hat's fluke victory. Shiro's mere presence was suffocating, and the sword at his waist exuded a menacing aura that sent chills down Enel's spine.

But Shiro was gracious in victory. "Enel, don't be so down. You lost because you didn't know me and because your abilities were countered by mine. But you have great potential. Focus on your Haki and physical prowess, and you'll be a force to reckon with."

Shiro's words were sincere. Despite his victory, he recognized Enel's strength. The Thunder Fruit gave Enel unparalleled speed and destructive power, rivaled only by the likes of Admiral Borsalino. With proper training in Haki and physical combat, Enel could easily contend with even the Admirals or the Yonko for a time.
