Chapter 176: The One Piece IV

...........

Far far in the depths, they could see something that isn't just the Red Line, a cave, and they were certain that the One Piece was there!!

As they approached the entrance, the Strangers noticed a peculiarity, something that stunned them to the point that they weren't sure whether they were hallucinating.

Alas, as they were on the verge of entering the hollow, they realized that their eyes weren't playing tricks on them.

It was as if they entered another dimension, popping from the sea to enter another sea. Indeed, the water of the outside was blocked by some kind of invisible force, making the entrance look very blurry.

However, the Strangers were able to enter through the giant entrance, finding themselves on another Sea, Kalifa's bubble no longer needed.

They were undersea, yet now they were sailing on the surface in a place akin to a different dimension with a vast ocean, clouds mostly blocking the sky, allowing very little light to pass through.

It wasn't sunlight thought, the Strangers were certain. They were after all several miles undersea. They assumed the light to be coming from something akin to Sunlight Tree Eve.

The area was incredibly vast, but they could see their target on the horizon, an Island.

"Hm, it really feels like a trap." Yovan couldn't help but say, his vast observations Haki already told him a lot of things about this place.

"It does," Viola agreed with him as she looked up, looking stunned. However, the other Strangers couldn't see what she sees, not with the dense clouds blocking their way.

Her Devil fruit allowed her to see things in a radius of about 2500 miles, so she could see what was hidden above the clouds, "Your mythical history is really true." She was certain.

Previously, they had some doubts due to how ridiculously bizarre this world's history was, but now it seems that the Sea God indeed exists.

"Interesting?" Yovan had an amused smile on his face as he also looked up. He saw no lines of death nor any danger.

"Which one is the real one? Or are they both real?" Viola suddenly asked with confusion, her ability allowing her to see something interesting.

"Both should be real, but only one has the real thing," Yovan was unsure himself, "I know which one is real but I don't know if the other one is just a mirage. Also, if the Illusion is so strong as to deceive me, then perhaps what I think is real may not be."

"Wait wait, what are you two talking about?" The Strangers couldn't see what the two could see, so they were left confused, awaiting an explanation, but none came, so they had to ask.

"Above the clouds, there was a sea mirroring this one, and there is indeed another Island above us," Yovan shrugged as he explained, lifting his right hand, and with it rose Seizon No Hono, floating to the clouds, "Hang onto something."

They did as Seizon No Hono started to rise toward the cloud, although Viola and Pudding hung onto him, the two have no means of flight after all.

The Ship rose and rose, slowly leaning sideways until it reached the clouds, and as Yovan predicted, once they broke through the clouds, gravity was reversed.

The Ship turned around and landed safely on the Reverse Sea, "Reverse Mountain, huh? It seems that the name of the mountain really means more than it seems. Perhaps this situation underneath it is contributing to the strange situation of the mountain."

The Strangers nodded, coming to the same conclusion, finding themselves reveling in the wondrous experience. The rules were reversed, like a miracle.

"But where is the Sea God? You were looking up before as if you were looking at it. Now, we're up, so where is it?" Kalifa curiously asked.

"Of course it's down," Yovan responded as he guided the ship forward with his feathers, "Remember that we're miles and miles undersea, so its tail is buried between the deepest part of the depths and the enormous Reverse Mountain."

Soon they reached the Island, one mirroring the other except for one simple thing... This Island has an inhabitant, a creature that only showed itself once they approached.

It was coiled around the base of the Island under the surface, well hidden, but it clearly felt certain golden eyes watching it carefully, so much to the Strangers' dismay, the creature showed itself.

"T-the Sea God??" Bege muttered under his breath for before them was a giant serpent, "No... It shouldn't be."

They realized the problem. The Serpent before them while massive, was nowhere near as gigantic as the Sea God described by Yovan. One is only capable of coiling around an Island while the other is coiling around the entire planet.

This Serpent still dwarfed Seizon No Hono though, its head much bigger than the Galleon Ship, and its pale eyes narrowed at the group.

The Serpent's skin was pale. Well, it was almost like scales, dragonic scales with a faint blue hue to them, similar to its eyes, eyes which were entirely focused on Yovan, as if the creature wanted to understand the monstrosity before it.

"It should be its offspring, although I don't know the circumstances of its existence," Yovan shrugged as the Ship ignored the creature and docked near the Island, "Either way, ignore it. As long as it doesn't do anything, we won't do anything to it."

"Um, Cap, can I play with it?" Kaku asked with anticipation, his eyes never leaving the majestic creature.

"Sure," Yovan shrugged, adding, "Let's split up and take a tour around the Island, just don't cause... Well, never mind. Let's meet up at the Poneglyph near the center."

He then vanished, allowing the Strangers to do whatever they want. The Island is very large with several ancient structures about, time leaving its mark upon them, but also making them even more majestic.

The place was gorgeous, like another world, worthy of more than one glance which Yovan granted with his crows. Now his curiosity prevailed, so he appeared near the center of the Island, right next to the Poneglyphs.

What is the One Piece? That he ignored for the time being and instead focused on reading through the Poneglyph.

His curiosity was shared by others, it seems, as Kalifa and Viola joined him, taking a seat next to him as he read it aloud.

"History of Joy Boy, huh?" Viola noted, understanding the ancient language on the Poneglyph.

"His story, from his point of view," Yovan nodded before he continued to read through it, his magnetic voice heard not only by all the Strangers but also by the Gods of the Pantheon.

Laughter soon was heard about as they listened to the entertaining story. Yovan once told them a similar story, but in his mouth, it was one of desperation and hopelessness against someone like Uranus.

In Joy Boy's words, however, there was only laughter and joy, never desperation. His adventures were crazy but joyful, his traces left through the entire world, leaving behind nothing but joy.

Even in the face of death, he laughed... He lived life, a life very few had. If his joyful life was to be compared to most of the people in the world, then they would be considered dead in comparison.

He wasn't selfish as he sought to bring that Joy to all else in the World despite being someone who came from one of the moons.

In contrast to those who sought to invade, he sought prosperity and Joy, but unfortunately, he failed despite accidentally starting the alliance of the D.

"It seems that even Joy Boy doesn't know everything about the mythical history of the World." Yovan made an interesting observation.
