Who The Hell Is This?

The sun rose, and the morning sky greeted the trees as the birds chirped and the leaves rustled. A boy, no older than 17, woke up in a stupor on the ground.

"Argh," the boy growled as he stood up.

Looking around, he noticed the unfamiliarity of his surroundings. Confused, he started walking towards the sound of water hitting the soft sands of the beach. Upon reaching the end of the forest, he noticed the beautiful sight that beheld him.

The boy stared at the sight with awe as he smelled the salty breeze of the sea. However, without the trees blocking the wind, he noticed a slight change in temperature. He looked down and saw his unfamiliar body, uncovered and bruised.

The boy opened his mouth in shock and said, "W-Where am I?"

To his dismay, nothing answered him but his own stomach's growl. He touched his stomach and looked around to see if there was any food, but nothing came in sight but the sea and the empty forest.

He got out of the forest and walked on the beach, not knowing what he was searching for. He merely walked without thinking.

After a few minutes of walking, the boy found a shipwreck with no one in sight, not even a body. The ship looked old and worn out. It was a medium-sized ship made of wood.

The ship had a ladder that led up to the deck. Intrigued, the boy walked towards the ship and climbed the ladder, making his way up to the deck. The deck had nothing unusual, so the boy went towards the door leading to the main cabin.

As he opened the door, he was met with an eerie room full of dust and spider webs. He coughed as he inhaled the dust that fell from the ceiling. He looked around, searching for anything that would be useful. However, nothing was in the room but a single bed, a drawer, and a mirror covered in dust.

The wooden floor creaked with every step he took, as well as the raining dust coming from the ceiling. Curious, he wiped the dust off the mirror with his bare hands as he wanted to see his face.

Shock took over the boy's face as he uttered, "Who the fuck is this?"

Boy POV:

I can remember every part of my memory… Everything but myself. As I stared at the mirror in front of me, a gust of memory flooded my mind, memories that I held dear to me. I remember it all, all but myself.

The more I tried to remember my name, my face, and my voice, nothing came up but blank. I remember my friends, family, and loved ones, but not ME.

The guy in the mirror had light salmon pink hair with sharp eyes and jaws. Like his hair, the eyes matched the light salmon pink hair. His face was pale and clean, like it wasn't lying on the ground a couple of minutes ago. And lastly, he had a well-defined body.

"Hmm, I don't remember working out, so how do I have a body like this? I'm pretty sure I was a damn bum."

Although I can't remember myself, I still remember what my experiences were, vividly in fact.

Noticing the never-ending dust, I grumbled and said, "I need to find clothes fast, my ass cheeks are getting dusty."

After finishing examining my body, I stopped and looked at the drawer that seemed worn out. In hopes of finding clothes, I quickly opened the drawer, and to my surprise, there was a full set of clothes. Moreover, there was a box wrapped in wrapping paper with a ribbon on it. Alongside it lay a bag of something heavy.

Before opening the two items, I quickly put on the clothes.

"This shit kind of ugly, but it fits me perfectly."

The clothing was uncomfortable and looked like something a noble would wear. As I finished putting on my clothes, I picked up the bag and said, "Oh please lord, if you're real, please let it be money."

As I opened the bag, I was slightly blinded by the shining of the gold inside the bag. A massive grin was drawn on my face as I thanked God, "I knew you were real."

BOOM

Lightning struck and a loud thunderous sound could be heard outside, making the birds flee from their trees.

"Hee… Hehe.. I'm sure that wasn't anything… Right?" I said, as I looked up at the ceiling.

"Well anyway, I finally got some money to feed my gambling addiction. I wonder how much this gold will convert into dollars."

I quickly sealed my ticket to being rich and looked at the box and said, "Dear lord, if you truly do exist, please let this be a check for 1 billion dollars."

I opened the box, and I was greeted with nothing but the emptiness of the box.

"..."

"Well, I'm atheist now."
