"Slow, slow down, no one's stealing them." Gelz said to Roy, reaching over to hand him a Samura.
Roy reached out and took it, biting into it.
"Who said that?" he said, chewing, while pointing at Linlin.
At that moment, Linlin was rapidly grabbing Samura after Samura with both hands, and the Samura on the table visibly disappeared.
The two giants, seeing how quickly Linlin was eating, rushed to stop her and tried to hold her back. But Linlin's teeth clashed together with a sharp sound, as hard as iron, and in the next moment, she pushed both giants aside.
Linlin, excited from eating, didn't care whether there was enough for anyone else.
She raised her hands to the sky and shouted fiercely, "Samura~!"
Then she grabbed the last few Samura from Gelz, Heiding, and the others' plates and ate them all.
Linlin reached out in front of Roy, paused for a moment, blinked, and then spared him.
Thankfully, it wasn't yet the onset of her food frenzy.
Roy winked at Gelz, "See? I told you."
Linlin snatched the remaining piece of Samura in Roy's hand.
Gelz stared in awe. When it came to fighting strength, you two were definitely the fiercest!
"Huh? You're not eating? Want to give it to Linlin?" Linlin said, chewing the Samura in her mouth, her eyes fixed on the Samura in Roy's hand.
Well, after thinking for a second, Linlin decided that food was more important than Roy.
Roy handed the Samura over, "Here, here, it's all yours."
Who told him to take Linlin's gift? It was just a piece of pastry.
The nun smiled and watched the scene, secretly sneering to herself—Roy's value was definitely going to rise again.
Linlin happily threw the last piece of Samura into her mouth, savoring the after-meal time with satisfaction.
Roy stood up from the table and walked toward another nearby table.
Heh, he wasn't going to sneak more Samura; he just wanted to take a look at the newly born Loki Prince and Rod Goldbach.
A beautiful giant woman was holding a newborn baby in her arms, and nearby, a giant man was holding his newborn son.
Roy approached the table, sat down, grabbed a Samura, and ate while looking at the baby in the woman's arms.
Tch, newborn giants were pretty cute.
The man passed his son to his wife and then picked up a drink, heading off to join the other giants for a toast.
Roy continued eating his Samura while watching the two babies.
"Very cute, huh? Hahaha~" The beautiful woman smiled, bringing her son over to Roy.
For Roy, this small, unremarkable-looking boy with amazing talent—who could crush giant cubs but was still very sensible—was loved by every warrior or female in Elbaf.
"Loki Prince is indeed adorable." Roy smiled, reaching over to pinch the soft, pale baby's cheek.
Speaking of which, with how beautiful and sexy Loki's mom was, how would he end up with someone as strange-looking as Lola?
Happiness is always fleeting, and that saying was no joke.
After playing with the soft, tender baby, Linlin was full from the Samura. Tomorrow, they would begin the difficult Winter Solstice Festival.
The next day.
First day of the Winter Solstice Festival's twelve-day period.
The people of Elbaf believed that every year, the Winter Solstice was a celebration of "the death and rebirth of the sun."
During these twelve days, according to tradition, they would fast.
The stricter and harder the fasting period, the more they appreciated the return of the sun.
Outside the window, snow was falling, covering the ground and rooftops with a layer of silver-white.
Inside, voices could be heard from Linlin and the nun discussing things.
Roy sat by the window, watching the snowy landscape.
From today onwards, Master Heiding would stop teaching him and Heiding due to the fasting period.
Since they would fast for twelve days, they needed to conserve energy each day.
The fire in the fireplace crackled, and the children were gathered around, happily playing and laughing.
Roy glanced over at them. Well, they were just kids; it was normal for them to be excited at first.
After being starved for a few days, they would all turn sluggish.
Third day of fasting.
"Nun, I'm going to starve to death."
Inside the room, Linlin's complaint echoed.
Roy sat quietly by the window, glancing back at Linlin. Oh boy, she looked dangerous today.
By the way, when was it that Linlin went berserk during a fast?
The nun was comforting Linlin by the fireplace, telling her about Elbaf's Winter Solstice traditions.
Linlin was starving but was being told stories about traditions?
That was like telling an employee about dreams while never mentioning why their salary was being cut.
Push someone to their limit, and you might just get an explosion.
It would be deadly~
And Linlin was exactly that person who would unleash fury when their wages were cut.
"Nun, I'm going out for some fresh air." Roy said, standing up, putting on his coat and shoes, grabbing his sword, and heading out.
"Alright, just don't go too far, and be safe," the nun replied, smiling.
"Okay." Roy nodded, opening the door, and cold wind instantly rushed in, with snow flying in.
He quickly stepped outside, closing the door behind him.
Linlin watched, confused. She had been starving for three days—was Roy hiding food outside?
"Nun, I'm going to check on him," Linlin said lazily.
Outside, the wind and snow were blowing, and Roy wrapped himself in his coat, walking slowly on the snowy path, smiling as he heard the footsteps behind him.
As he moved further from the Lamb House, Roy glanced around and saw the cute sheep carvings on the roofs of Elbaf's houses no longer in sight.
Roy turned to see Linlin following behind him and took out a bag of biscuits from his pocket, handing it to her, "Here, don't starve."
"Wow!" Linlin instantly perked up, eagerly grabbing the bag of biscuits, saliva dripping from her mouth.
Roy was the best!
"But... the nun said this is Elbaf's tradition. Won't this be bad?" Linlin said, half-heartedly, as she opened the bag with a rustling sound.
"Eat, eat, just remember to wipe your mouth clean before we go back. We can't let anyone find out," Roy waved his hand, turning to leave.
Heh, it was best to let Linlin's food frenzy take longer to erupt.
He was thinking about how to handle the situation.
After all, the people of Elbaf had treated him really well. Even Master Heiding was willing to teach him the giant swordsmanship.
He had to do something for the giants, so that his heart would feel at ease.
Alone, walking in the ice and snow, Roy wandered around Elbaf, then explored other places on the island.
He was looking for something.
"Strange, I feed her food after she's been starving for three days, and her intimacy with me hasn't increased at all?" Roy looked back, confused.
Fourth day of fasting.
Inside, the nun and everyone else sat by the warm fireplace, telling stories.
Linlin seemed in a much better mood, patiently listening.
After all, Roy had secretly fed her some food again today.
"Strange, still no increase in intimacy points?" Roy looked at Linlin, his suspicion growing, though he wasn't quite sure.
Don't think the nun wouldn't sell out the main character—she even dared sell Linlin, and as long as it was a child from Lamb House, she would sell them off.
She would use the excuse of "the child found a family willing to adopt him" and then sell them to the Navy or the CP organization.
Of course, the nun's ending was tragic. She was probably eaten by Linlin when she got too absorbed in her food frenzy~
