Chapter 1 - In the Middle of Nowhere

"…. Hm? Where is this?"

Someone opened their eyes somewhere among the trees.

"Trees? Is here a Forest? How did I get here?"

Then that person moved himself to sit down.

"Hm? Why do my legs look so short and small? Wait, my hands too!?"

That person was groping to examine all parts of his body.

"Legs, arms, body, head. My whole body is shrinking!? What the hell is going on!? Also, where is this!?"

That person wondered.

"Ugh, thirsty. I'd better get some water."

That person then stood up and started walking through the forest.

After about 15 minutes of walking, he found a small stream that looked clear.

With improvised tools, namely, his own hands, that person took a mouthful of water from the river and drank it.

"Ahh…. I'm alive!"

After quenching his thirst, that person sat down on a rock on the bank of the small river.

"Alright. Now is the time to confirm the situation."

"Who am I? I'm Lepus, Lepus Rex. Oh, I still remember my name."

"Gender? Definitely male."

"Age? 16. Or at least 16 as I recall. But somehow my current body has become like that of a 10-year-old boy."

"Where am I from? I'm from City XXX, Country YYY."

"Why am I currently in the middle of a forest in the middle of nowhere? I have no idea."

That person, Lepus, confirmed his current situation by trying to confirm his identity and a few other things about himself.

"It seems that even though I was somehow in the middle of the forest and my body became like I was 10 years old, I didn't have amnesia or anything. At least I didn't have an identity crisis."

Even so, Lepus was still quite confused by his current situation.

"But... How can I experience age rejuvenation and also wake up in the middle of nowhere?"

Lepus tried to think more deeply and then he shuddered slightly as he recalled a familiar situation in his mind.

"Could it be.... Ahahaha. No, no. That's impossible, right? Seriously. But... my current situation is indeed quite similar. Hmm... I'd better try to find out more of my situations now.... Maybe I'll try to find a way out of this forest first."

Thinking that wondering and guessing alone wouldn't help much, Lepus decided to walking through the forest again.

"I hope there was a village or something around this forest."
