Nimbus

Viper and Nami were sitting in Nami's medical room, when the door opened and a woman came in. The woman said "So you're both awake." Nami said "Yeah, thank you." the woman said "Don't worry about it, i'm Kureha but you can call me Doctorine." Kureha walked over and put a finger on Nami's forehead and said "37.3 C, you're getting better, you're lucky you got here when you did, you wouldn't be in pain anymore after 2 more days" Nami said "No pain?" Kureha nodded and said "Yeah, because you would've been a corpse. You were bitten by a Kestia, it's called the 5-day disease, because after 5 days you die, luckily I still had some of the cure left." Nami let out a breath of relief and Viper said "What's with the little reindeer? Normally you don't see people walking around calling themselves monsters" Kureha said "That's Chopper, he's a reindeer that ate the Human-Human fruit" Viper nodded and said "I figured, I know the grandline is crazy but I've never heard of any animals talking." Kureha laughed and said "Why do you ask?" Viper chuckled and said "Because knowing our captain, he probably already asked Chopper to join us." Kureha sighed and said "That's quite the task, Chopper has a history with pirates" Viper blinked and Kureha said "Do you want to hear a story?"

Kureha finished the story and said "Do you think you can heal Chopper's heart?" Viper was seething, and Nami was crying, the door bust open and Chopper said "Doctorine! Walpol's here!" Viper stood up and said in a grim voice "Where."

Viper and Kureha followed Chopper outside and met up with Sanji and Luffy, Viper saw 3 men standing across from them and said "You're the ones that ate our boat, which one of you is Walpol?" the fat man said "I am!" the other two said "I'm Chess, and I'm Marimo!" Viper full transformed and said "I'm going to kick your ass" as he lunged towards Walpol. Viper slammed his tail into Walpol's stomach before circling around him and hitting him up in the air "Luffy!" Luffy grinned and jumped into the air and stretched his foot up and slammed Walpol back down to the ground.

"Gum-Gum Battle-Axe!"

Walpol got up from the ground and coughed out some blood "You can't do this to me! I'm the king!" Viper sneered "What kind of king tricks their subjects into walking into a trap so they could kill him." Walpol said "You're talking about that quack?! He wasn't a doctor, he was crazy!" Viper hissed "It doesn't matter!" as he slammed Walpol, sending him flying through the castle walls. Luffy chased after him, Viper took a deep breath and reverted back to a human and walked next to Kureha, she said "Quetzalcoatl eh? Aren't you supposed to have wings?" Viper blinked and said "I can feel that i'm missing them, I don't know how to get them though." Kureha said "Sometimes you have to be pushed past your limits to grow, perhaps you'll get them then." Viper said "I hope so, it doesn't feel good. It's like i'm missing an arm." Kureha chuckled and said "That was quite the outburst there by the way." Viper said "I'm something of a scientist myself, I don't like hearing that some idiot killed a good one for no reason whatsoever."

Chopper was fighting and changed into his different forms, Viper said "How does he do that?" Kureha said "He developed a method to unlock more Zoan forms, maybe you could use it too." Viper said "Then i'm going to have to kidnap him from you" Kureha cackled and took out a giant battle-axe out of nowhere and put it against Viper's neck "You're gonna kidnap him? I think there might be some damage to your brain." Viper gulped and said "Did I say kidnap? I meant borrow, silly me.." he laughed nervously, and Kureha cackled "I hope you did." before she took the axe away, Viper mumbled "Damn witch, I'll get the reindeer damn old hag.." Viper was sent flying and Kureha said "I'll have you know, I'm only 139 years old!" Viper gasped and said "YOU'RE 139 YEARS OLD?!" Kureha cackled and said "Yeah, I look pretty good eh? Wanna know the secret to my eternal youth?" Viper nodded and took out a book "Yes! How do you do it?" Kureha said "I'm not telling you!" Viper froze and snapped "You damn old hag! Why did you even ask then!" before he was kicked in the face.

Chopper defeated Chess and Marimo, and Luffy sent Walpol flying away in the skies. Viper came up to Chopper and picked him up, he turned him around, upside down, he looked in his mouth and said "How did you make more transformations? How many do you have? Does it work for all Zoans?" Chopper said "It's called a rumble ball, I have 7, and I don't know." Viper dragged him by the horns and said to the rest "I'm gonna have a talk with Chopper." as he disappeared from sight.

Viper was standing in front of Chopper with a little yellow ball in his hands as he said "Did you 'will' your transformations? Or did they just happen naturally?" Chopper said "A little bit of both, first they were natural, but with experience and practice it is possible to will them to however you want, obviously excluding different animals." Viper said "How many do you have?" Chopper said "Around 30, but I can make more, it just takes time and the right equipment." Viper said excitedly "We have all the lab equipment you'll ever need on the ship! All you have to do is bring your research notes!" Chopper said "First of all, I don't remember saying I'll be on the crew and second, why do you have all the equipment?" Viper said "I'm a scientist myself, I was working on devil fruits, but I abandoned them because it was too dangerous, the equipment has been collecting dust for a few days now." Chopper said "Researching devil fruits?!" Viper waved him off and said "Inserting a devil fruit into an inanimate object, I succeeded in putting them in on several occasions but they would fall apart after little usage, the was a tree producing glove, a monkey transforming sword, a monkey transforming cup, and a monkey transforming book." he sighed and said "They all fell apart and crumbled, deeming them as failures, I'm sure I would've eventually found a way, but if the research got into the wrong hands it could be disastrous so I gave up. Anyway you only showed 6 forms what's the seventh?" Chopper was shocked and said absentmindedly "A giant monster." Viper said "A giant monster? Why didn't you just transform into that before?" Chopper snapped back to reality and said "I can't! It takes 3 rumble balls and it's uncontrollable!" Viper said "So it's more of a primitive form, I see..." he popped the rumble ball in his mouth and bit down.

Viper felt strange and full transformed but this time he had long multi colored spikes running down his spine to his tail and his tail feathers, were razor sharp, his body was less soft and more sleek, Viper said "More of an aerodynamic and sharp state, I guess this is sharp point?" Chopper wrote it down in a book.

Viper changed again and his feathers puffed, the feathers on his head circled around his neck and made a ring, the scales on his head got thicker and sturdier, he said "Hmm this is much like your guard point but with better control of the wind, I can use my skull as a battering ram.. So how about Ram point?" Chopper quipped "It's more for defense, so how about defense point?" Viper nodded and Chopper wrote it down.

Viper lost all the puffy feathers and returned to normal before he changed again, but this time he grew arms and legs, and on his head he grew horns. He blinked and said "These look like dragon horns, so name this one dragon point." Chopper said "Woah! That one's cool!" before he wrote it down.

Viper said "That's all without taking three rumble balls, right?" Chopper nodded and said "You have a sharp point, defense point, and a dragon point, although none of your forms have wings." Viper sighed and said "When I get them, we'll see what changes again. Let's go see everyone else!" he scooped up Chopper and threw him on his head and used his arms and legs to run back to the group in front of the castle.

Luffy walked out of the castle and saw Viper's dragon point and said "WOAH! A DRAGON!!!!!" everyone turned and saw the huge dragon and were shocked, Viper chuckled and said "Pretty handsome eh? I used one of Chopper's rumble balls, watch this!" He changed into his other forms and showed each of them, he stopped on the sharp form and said "I'm still missing the wings though" before the rumble ball expired and he turned back into his human form.

Luffy said "Chopper join my crew!" Chopper said "No, I can't." Luffy said "Why not?" Chopper said "I'm a reindeer! Withe a blue nose!" Viper tilted his head and Luffy said "So? I already have a giant snake-dragon with rainbow hair!" Viper sighed "Damn straw hat bastard.." Luffy chuckled and ignored him and just looked at Chopper, the reindeer said "I can't!" Luffy said "Just shut up and join already!" Chopper teared up and nodded before saying "I'm gonna go tell Doctorine!" Viper started sweating and said "You know maybe we should just leav- and he's gone.." he sighed and said "I think we should get ready to run." Sanji nodded and said "Yeah, that old hag's not gonna like this.." a shoe flew out of the castle and hit him in the head.

While they were waiting, the rest of the crew and the villagers gathered on top of the mountain in front of the castle. Zoro walked up and said "What's going on?" Luffy said "Viper's a dragon!" Zoro looked over and Viper sighed "I still don't have wings" Ussop said "A dragon?!" Luffy nodded and everyone looked at Viper, he looked back and said "Seriously?" the duo nodded and Nami came out of the castle and said to the villagers "Doctorine wants you all inside." the villagers all ran inside and Nami walked over to the rest of the group.

Viper said "Chopper only gave me two rumble balls, I already used one and if he doesn't come with us I won't have anymore. I don't really want to waste it." Luffy said "I order you to use it. Chopper's coming with us anyway you can get more mystery balls from him." Viper sighed and chomped on a rumble ball and said "Dragon point" and turned into his dragon point form. Luffy and Ussop said "COOL!!" Nami said "You have arms and legs now? But you still look like a snake." Viper said "I know, i'm more scaly in this form, but I have one I think you'll like."

Viper winked and turned into his defense point, and puffed up. Nami had her mouth open and said "Woah!" before jumping into his feathers and disappearing, Luffy and Ussop said "AH YOU ATE NAMI!" Zoro walked into Viper's feathers and said "It's soft!" before getting a good spot and falling asleep, Luffy and Ussop jumped in and Sanji said "I'm coming Nami-swan!" the entire group disappeared into Viper's feathers, he sighed and said "I can't stay like this forever, I'm gonna revert any second now" sure enough, as soon as he finished speaking he reverted back to his normal full transformation and everyone fell out of his feathers, he chuckled and reverted back to his human form.

Nami said "I was in heaven..." Viper rolled his eyes and said "Next time alright princess?" Nami pouted and Viper looked away really quickly before saying "Ah you know I'll go see what's taking Chopper so long!" before leaving with red cheeks towards the castle, Nami watched him go and smiled a bit. Zoro woke up on the ground and said "Eh? Where did my bed go?" Nami said "He just ran away." Zoro sighed and said "Nicest bed i've ever had.."

Viper was inside the castle and said to himself "Stop, she's like family.." before he heard a loud crash and saw Chopper running towards him saying "RUN!" Viper was confused before he saw Kureha coming towards them throwing weapons, he turned around and ran the fastest he had ran in his entire life.

The duo got outside and said "GO! WE NEED TO LEAVE NOW!" the rest were confused before they saw Kureha too and jumped in a sleigh near the ropes and slid down, Viper grabbed Chopper and jumped into the air and landed on the sleigh and let out a breath of relief. Chopper turned back to see Kureha standing in front of the cliff watching him go, he whispered "Sorry Doctorine.."

The crew arrived at the ship and got on, Vivi said "Where's Carue?" the crew found the duck in the ice water frozen and brought him back on the deck, Vivi said "Why were you in the water?!" Zoro said "He probably fell in" Carue quacked and Chopper said "He said he was following the swordsman and chased after him into the water" Luffy said "You can talk to animals too?!" Chopper nodded and Vivi glared at Zoro, Luffy said "Alright set sail, and Let's have a party to welcome Chopper!!!" the Merry set sail towards Alabasta, and they heard a huge BOOM they all turned around and saw giant pink clouds.

Viper said "Wow, it looks like cherry blossoms.." before he realized and said "He did it?! That's incredible!" Chopper was crying and Nami said "It's beautiful!" Viper looked at her and noticed the pink light from the clouds was making her face light up a bit too then turned away mumbling "Damn vixen..." before walking away and grabbing a barrel of alcohol and sitting down to drink from it, Zoro joined him and Viper handed him a mug. Nami noticed Viper's actions and giggled a bit, the rest of the crew started partying as the Merry made it's way to Alabasta.

The next day

Chopper was talking with Viper about the lab, Viper said "I haven't been in there for a few days but we can work on the rumble balls if you want." Chopper nodded and they made their way to the lab room. Viper opened the door and said "We have every equipment you'll need but I lack materials" Chopper patted his backpack and said "I brought everything I need." before he noticed something and said "What's that?" and pointed to a corner, Viper said "Probably something Ussop ma-" before he saw there were three stick like clouds, a red one, a blue one, and a yellow one, he yelled "USSOP!!" before he walked over and grabbed the three sticks, Ussop ran in and said "What happened?!" Viper held up the sticks and said "Where's Nami's climatact?" Ussop said "It should be in the corner.." before he realized "Where's the cloud fruit?!" Viper held up the sticks and said "I think we did it my friend, I don't know how it happened but it might've worked!!!" Viper was excited and gave them to Ussop, he took the sticks and put them together and the three sticks became one long blue staff with clouds at the tips, Ussop gulped and said "Is it going to blow up?" Viper grabbed the staff and walked out, Ussop and Chopper followed him out.

The trio stood on the deck and Viper held out the staff and said "Thunder cloud" The tips of the staff turned yellow and black clouds came out and hovered in front of him, he pointed to the open sea and said "Strike." the black cloud flew over the sea and rained down lightning. Viper smiled and said "Rain cloud" a blue-ish cloud appeared and hovered in front of him, he pointed and said "Drizzle" the cloud flew over the sea and drizzled, Viper said "Rain" the drizzle turned into normal rain, he took a deep breath and said "Downpour" the rain changed to a severe downpour, Viper said "Disperse!" and the cloud dissipated. Viper smiled and said "Let's try something more complicated, Rain and Heat cloud" a barely visible cloud poured out of the staff and hovered in front of him, he pointed over the sea and said "Mirage." the cloud floated over the sea and everyone saw a rock appear with a mermaid on it, Viper smiled like a psychopath and said "Disperse." the mirage disappeared and he turned around and said "Physical test time"

Viper, Chopper, and Ussop sneaked up on Zoro and Viper whispered to the staff "Physical cloud staff form, test 1" Viper lifted the staff and hit Zoro on the head with it. Zoro slammed into the ground and got up saying "What the hell was that for?!" Viper and the other two laughed and Viper spun the cloud staff, while saying "Me and you Zoro, you can only use one sword." Zoro looked at the staff and said "Is that the cloud fruit?" Viper nodded and Zoro grinned "So you chose me as a test subject huh?" Viper grinned as well and said to Chopper and Ussop "Write down the details of everything that happens with the staff, watch it closely pay attention to EVERY detail." they nodded and took out their books. Viper said "So Zoro, think you can keep up?" as he smashed the staff towards Zoro.

Zoro blocked it with his sword and slashed at Viper, who jumped back and stuck the staff into the ground before stepping on it and bouncing back, he spun the staff and swiped at Zoro's feet. Zor jumped and stabbed towards Viper's back, Viper hybrid transformed and bent out of the way before reverting back and swinging the staff at Zoro, hitting him and causing him to take a couple steps back. Viper stopped and said "How did that hit feel?" Zoro frowned and said "Like a normal staff would, but it was bumpy?" Viper rubbed his chin and said "So when attacking it hits surface area with cloud form and doesn't dissipate, that's good. Now slash at me." Viper held out the staff across his body and went into hybrid form, Zoro immediately slashed at Viper.

Zoro's slash went right through the cloud and almost cut Viper's body, but the clouds bent and covered him where Zoro slashed. Viper was surprised and said "Write down 'Staff is intangible on the defensive like normal logia types, but will protect the wielder'" Zoro was confused and said "If I can cut through it, how are you holding it and why did I block the first attack?" Viper said "It is still a weapon and not a flesh and blood human being, I can hold it because it was originally a staff and I can also control how it looks, Cloud recede." the staff revealed itself and only had clouds flowing at the tips, Viper added "As for the first time you blocked it, when logia's attack their attacking limbs become solid, so basically solid on offense, intangible on defense." Zoro nodded and said "There still isn't very put defense you can do with that." Viper nodded and said "It's more a utility weapon, than a melee. I don't picture Nami rushing head first into fights like we would, so really defense isn't an issue and when you're really in an emergency situation, offense is the best defense.. In this case anyway." Zoro chuckled at the thought of Nami rushing into battle, Viper smiled at his staff and disassembled it into the three parts, they turned into three clouds.

Viper frowned and said "Can you change form?" the clouds pulsed and Viper sighed and said "Can you revert back to three staff pieces?" the clouds receded and only had a little of the colored clouds at each of the tips, Viper smiled and said "Good boy" the rest gave him a weird look, Viper frowned and said "What? We already found out that the fruits possess an ability to give objects a 'soul', if I put a voice modulator on it, it'll probably talk too." the clouds pulsed and Viper said "See he agrees." Zoro just walked away and said "Freak scientist" Chopper was shocked and Ussop was crying mumbling something about his baby coming to life, Viper ignored Ussop and put Chopper on his head and went to find Nami.

Viper found her sunbathing on the deck and just stared at her for a moment, in a daze, she looked over and giggled and Chopper knocked on Viper's head, he snapped out of it and said "Damn vixen.." before taking out her climatact and handing it to her with his head turned looking somewhere else, she grabbed the three staff pieces and the clouds pulsed happily, she said "What's this? And why does it feel happy?" Viper snapped his head back and sat right next to her and said "What?! You said it feels happy?! How can you feel that?!" Nami said "I don't know, I can just feel it." Viper said "Chopper write everything that happens form now on down." Chopper nodded and took out his note book, Viper coughed and said "Well, princess, this is your clima-tact. Lat time I went into the lab, I had a bit of a meltdown and threw the cloud fruit against a wall, but somehow the fruit and the clima-tact came into contact and now you have a cloud staff. You should maybe give it a name." Nami was shocked and said "It worked?!" Viper said "I didn't see it happen and I don't know how but yes it did. I'm 99.99% sure it won't collapse." Nami said "Not a hundred?" Viper said "My maximum is 99.99% on anything, the 0.01% is for freak accidents, like if it falls into a volcano, or you get hit by a meteor and both of you are smashed to bits. You know that kind of stuff." Nami said "Smashed to bits?" Viper said "Let's really hope that never happens, you could probably tell if a meteor is coming anyway, your weather predictions are the most amazing thing I've ever seen." Nami smiled and Viper's cheeks reddened a bit before he coughed and said "Name it, he's been waiting." Nami thought for a bit and said "Then i'll call you Nimbus."

The clouds pulsed happily again and Viper grabbed Nami's hand excitedly and said "Come test it! I only did basic clouds, maybe you can do more!" he dragged her across the deck to the railing and said "It was originally Ussop's invention, and it had three different types of bubbles that came out, cool, heat, and thunder/electric. The rods can emulate the previous version the same but better! The rod with the blue clouds is cool bubbles and can now generate snow, and rain, for the rain it can go from drizzle to downpour and I haven't tested the snow yet but I assume it should be the same. The rod with the red clouds is more for heat based combinations, as I don't think there is a cloud that can rain fire, anyways I used the heat and rain clouds together and created a mirage cloud. The last rod with the yellow clouds, is for thunder and electricity clouds and combinations, I haven't tried anything past just raining thunder over the ocean, but I think they can be used with the rain clouds and create thunderstorms! The rods also come together!"

He grabbed the robs and put them all together creating a staff and continued "The rods were meant to come together and turn into your usual staff like weapon, but now there are flowing clouds at the ends I think they're actually quite cool! Anyways in staff form you can combine the clouds easier and faster, I think there were more features in the rods form but I think the staff form suits you better, also I called out what I wanted the clouds to do, as they can understand, but if you said you can feel the clouds were happy then maybe you can will what you want?" Nami was staring at the clouds and smiled at Viper and said "You were working on this for me?" Viper nodded and said "I actually had the idea a long time ago, before Arlong to get you a weather based weapon, when I saw you accurately predict the weather several times, so far you haven't been wrong once. When I got the cloud fruit, it only made it better, sort of like the cherry on top"

Nami hugged him, and Viper froze, Chopper knocked his head again and Viper hugged her back, she broke off the hug and started calling out cloud names that Viper had never even heard of and creating massive storms with hail, snow, thunder, rain, anything he could think of, Viper watched in awe and said "I only made a small thunder cloud.." Chopper said "Yeah, and it was terrible." Viper said "Sorry, I don't know weather formations!" Chopper laughed and said "I don't either but she obviously does." Viper nodded and said aloud "Yeah, she's perfect" he froze and his face paled, Nami heard him and said "What did you just say?" Viper said quickly "The weapon is perfect with you! That's what I said, forsure right Chopper?" Chopper said "But you obviously said that she was p-" Viper grabbed him and threw him into the rooms, and said "Oh would you look at that, my reindeer slipped, gotta go! Also the clouds can surround the staff and you can use it as a weapon in a pinch, attacking makes the clouds solid, but if you use it for defense attacks are just going to go right through it, but the clouds will protect you." he looked at the staff and said "They better protect you." before he walked off, Nami watched him go and made a small smile when she heard his yelling "Chopper you little reindeer bastard, obviously I know what I said! I didn't need you to repeat it! You want me to turn that nose red?!" she giggled and continued practicing with Nimbus.
