Seeing Burgess being beheaded by Solo on the spot, Van Augur and Lafitte were surprised.

Upon witnessing Blackbeard's tragic death, they realized that their own fate wouldn't be too favorable. However, they hadn't expected Solo, the Marine, to be even more ruthless than they had imagined.

Generally speaking, the Marines rarely execute pirates. Most of them are imprisoned in Impel Down, including notorious criminals like Golden Lion and Bullet. 

They are usually confined to the sixth floor and are occasionally transferred back to Impel Down. They didn't expect Solo to take such direct action and kill Burgess without hesitation, leaving them to worry about their own situations.

Sengoku, who was watching from the side, remained indifferent. In his view, eliminating these pirates from the sea through the war was not necessarily a bad thing. 

Furthermore, Sengoku had always been dissatisfied with many actions taken by the World Government. He saw this as an opportunity to regain control and create enough space for Solo to eliminate the pirates.

The massive battleship guarding Marineford raised its fist, but due to its immense size, its movements were inevitably slow. Among the Blackbeard Pirates, it was undoubtedly the most difficult to hide its identity and escape pursuit.

At that moment, Solo squeezed his sword tightly, and with a flick of his hand, he unleashed a sword aura infused with Armament Haki that crisscrossed toward the battleship.

Before the battleship could react, the sharp sword aura pierced through its body. The battleship's fist remained suspended in the air, its eyes wide with disbelief. 

Shortly after, its body fell backward into the sea, causing blood to gush out like rain of blood. As the battleship sank, it created a huge wave that seemed to swallow everything near Marineford.

In a critical moment, Aokiji used the Moonwalk technique to fly into the air. He released a cloud of cold air from his palm, using his Ice Age ability to freeze the entire wave, resolving the crisis.

Van Augur gritted his teeth, surprised by the Marine's strength. Burgess may not have been too strong, but he was definitely not weak. As for himself, he had no confidence in defeating Solo. However, Solo had easily beheaded Burgess, and even the massive battleship had been destroyed. 

Van Augur, a prisoner on the sixth floor of Impel Down, had become a Vice Admiral erased from history due to his notorious crimes. And now, he witnessed Solo effortlessly splitting him in two.

Lafitte took a deep breath, his scalp tingling with fear. Both Badgers and the battleship were stronger than him, yet they couldn't even compare to Solo. How could he face this Marine? Fear began to consume him, and he didn't dare to confront Solo.

Amidst the confusion and uncertainty, Shiryu of the Rain, who had been previously overpowered by Solo, rushed toward him. At this point, regrets and second-guessing were useless. 

They couldn't start over, so it was better to focus on overcoming their current difficulties. Shiryu swung his katana and aimed it at Solo, desperate to eliminate him and find a way out.

However, Solo calmly blocked Shiryu's slash with his sword. Their blades clashed, sparks flying, and a powerful shockwave emanated from their clash. Shiryu's eyes burned with murderous intent, his gaze fixed on Solo. But he soon realized that his attacks were futile against Solo's impenetrable defense.

Shiryu gritted his teeth, even though he had unleashed his Armament Haki, he couldn't change the situation. His swordsmanship was on par with Suo Luo, but it was not enough. 

Solo couldn't help but smile, remarking that Shiryu was deluding himself. He sneered at Shiryu's misplaced confidence and effortlessly blocked his slash with Sakura.

This was not an equal fight. Shiryu's attacks couldn't break through Solo's defense, and he couldn't even make Solo take him seriously. Shiryu's disbelief and unwillingness were evident on his face, but Solo wasn't resorting to any extreme methods. He simply stated the truth.

Shiryu was completely infuriated by Solo's words, his forehead veins pulsating. However, no matter how angry he became, he couldn't change the reality before him. His swordsmanship couldn't even touch Solo's clothes. The power gap between them was like an insurmountable chasm.

"It's over, Shiryu," Solo declared as he swung his blade with one hand. In an instant, Shiryu's katana was sliced open, and the sword energy extended to his chest, cutting through his skin, muscles, and nerves. Blood sprayed from his wounds, and Shiryu's eyes widened in disbelief.

His own swordsmanship, unable to defeat even a Marine?

As a swordsman, he was defeated by a single strike from a sword.

He felt despair.
