Chapter 7

[Magnus D. Cain]

After deciding to start exploring the South Blue my sister built me a boat and explained a few places for me to go.

The place unwanted to visit the most is karate island. It is an island which focuses on the art of combat where there are regular tournaments and frequent battles where I will be able to improve my skills and overall abilities.

But that is still quite some distance away and I will likely starve before I reach there if I try to go directly as the boat cannot carry too many supplies.

After a lot of preparation for the navigation of which if things wen according to plan I would have to stop at two islands before I would be able to reach Karate Island.

On the day of my departure I was seen of by my big sister and also the town chief. My sister had a bright smile on her face,tears streamed from her face and only her eyes betrayed her worries for me on this journey of mine.

I have now reached the second island since my departure and am now exploring the Sorbet kingdom which was quite peaceful.

While I was roaming around I came across a bar, which is a gathering place for information according to the village chief.

I went in and found a place to sit while being able to observe the room. There was not any important information being told, just everyday news about the kingdom and some small gossip.

Something that I found interesting was about the gentle prince who was 2 years younger than me and seemed to be quite smart. It was said that he found an unknown devil fruit and is considering whether to eat it or not.

There was nothing else interesting so I left and continued walking down the street where I saw a golden butterfly flying in one direction. Following it I reached a children's playground where I saw only one child sitting on a bench opening a book in front of him staring at the sky in a daze.

I decided to meet him,"Hey there, my name is Cain. What's yours?"

The boy ,was surprised to see me, who I pipnow own noticed was taller than me said in a gentle voice,"Hello, my name is Batholomew. How did you get in here?"

Cain- "Huh, I just walked in."

"But there should be guards stationed just outside."

Cain- "Well I walked in and no one stopped me."

He looked at me, studying my response until he just asked,"What are you doing here?"

Cain- "I was just looking for something interesting and then I ran into you."

"I see so what will you do now."

Cain- "I dunno just go back to traveling. Whatcha reading there?"

"This is the bible which my father gifted to me last month on my birthday. He said these virtues and principles are to be lived by."

Cain- "Why does this seem unreliable. Anyway I found you interesting and you seem nice so from now on you are my friend."

"What logic does that work on?"

Cain- "Mine. Nice meeting you but now I will leave so until we meet again."

When I was leaving I heard what he muttered under his breath.

"Weirdo."
