173 Marines Join the War

"Shiki!" 

Whitebeard's deep voice boomed.

Before Golden Lion could react, he witnessed a fist holding a glowing ball coming right at him.

Boom!

The Golden Lion falls like a cannonball, crashing into the ground and kicking up a cloud of dust.

"Damn it!"

Golden Lion struggled to get back on his feet, a trickle of blood at the corner of his mouth.

"Why's this old guy's true strength so darn powerful?" 

Kaido muttered, feeling miserable.

He has challenged Whitebeard before, and although he lost the fight.

But It's not like he is completely crushed by Whitebeard, he still could give a good fight

"How am I supposed to know!" 

Golden Lion growled in annoyance..

"This war must come to an end!" 

Whitebeard declared, dropping to the ground, his gaze sharp as he looked at the two men.

"Watch out!" 

The two quickly became alert upon hearing this.

Before the three of them could engage once more, a loud sound of something breaking through the air echoed from the distant waters.

The three people turned to look around.

They spotted two figures flying in the sky; it was Marco and King.

"Marco?" 

Whitebeard furrowed his brow.

"Oyaji!"

"The Marines are attacking us. They're all here, including Fleet Admiral Akainu, Admiral Kizaru, and Admiral Momousagi!"

"And to make matters worse, the Marines have joined forces with the pirate alliance to fight us together."

Marco, flying towards the ruined island, shouted.

It appeared that the Marines had been watching the battle from the nearby seas. When it seemed like the pirates alliance forces were about to be overwhelmed, they finally decided to intervene.

When Marco spotted the Marines' arrival, he felt a bad feeling.

So he approached the island, prepared to inform Whitebeard about the situation.

Meanwhile, King, though badly injured and the last one standing among the Beast Pirates' Three Plagues, had the same purpose as Marco. His message, however, was meant for Kaido, not Whitebeard.

"Those who hide in the shadows and then reveal themselves, they couldn't resist coming out, huh?" 

Whitebeard remained calm.

He was aware that the Marines wouldn't be sitting still, so their arrival didn't surprise him in the least.

"Huh?" 

"Marines attacked and yet they're joining forces with us? Why wasn't I informed?"

Golden Lion was taken aback, then looked at Kaido: "You didn't contact Marines privately, did you?"

"I haven't had any dealings with those idiots!"

Kaido frowned, and at the same time shouted at King: "What the hell is going on?

"Brother, the Marines have just attacked the Whitebeard Pirates."

"And they want to form an alliance with us. I'm here to ask if you are willing to accept the Marines' offer!" 

King hurriedly explained.

"Alliance?" 

Kaido was surprised, and a deep sense of doubt crossed his eyes.

"Jieehahaha~"

"As expected of that bastard Akainu, he came up with this scheme!" 

Golden Lion laughed.

What's happening right now is too similar to the original Battle of the Gods Valley.

To eliminate the Rocks Pirates, the Marines didn't hesitate to join forces with the Roger Pirates and obliterated the world's most powerful pirate crew in a single blow.

The current situation is highly disadvantageous for the pirate alliance forces.

If the Marines' request is turned down, the ultimate outcome could be complete destruction at the hands of the Whitebeard Pirates.

In a life-and-death situation, he can't afford to be too cautious.

"Jieehahaha~"

"Then let's join forces and take down Whitebeard first!"

Golden Lion laughed, then waved his hand: "Go back and tell them we agree, and together with the Marines, we will defeat the Whitebeard Pirates!"

"Got it!" 

King nodded, then turned and departed.

"Oyaji!" 

Marco, who had come to deliver the news, looked a bit worried as he saw King leaving.

"Let the crew know I'll end this fight as fast as I can. They need to hold off the Marine and the pirates alliance attacks!" 

Whitebeard stated solemnly.

"Understood!"

Marco nodded, then turned and left.

"Jieehahaha~"

"Newgate, it looks like the Marines are dead set on taking you down. With the pirate alliance and the Marines teaming up, you won't stand a chance!" 

Golden Lion laughed.

"Whitebeard, surrender and stop resisting!" 

Kaido declared.

"Guurarara~"

"Marine is just a bunch of losers. What's there to fear!" 

Whitebeard dismissed the concern.

Even though the Marines were sent to encircle and suppress him, he wasn't overly worried.

That's because the current Whitebeard Pirates are not like they used to be.

They've got top-notch fighters like Issho, Aokiji, Weevil, and Redfield who can handle Vice Admirals and even Marine Admirals.

So, the situation still aligns with his capabilities.

"Stubborn!"

Kaido roared.

After stepping on the ground with his right foot, he attacked again.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

There was an explosion, and the three of them began their fierce battle.

Ten minutes later, Whitebeard grabbed Kaido head once again, and a ball of vibrating light appeared on his fist.

"No way!" 

Kaido's eyes narrowed to thin slits.

Sensing the terrifying power of the attack, he knew that getting hit would mean severe injury. So, he raised his mace to block it.

But Whitebeard ignored Kaido and continued to attack.

Boom! 

An ear-splitting explosion resounded.

The immense force crushed Kaido's body, causing blood to gush out, and sending him flying like a cannonball.

Golden Lion could only watch as Kaido was beaten, because his face was also bloodied, and his old body covered in bruises. He panted heavily, on his knees.

Seeing this, Whitebeard grabbed his naginata.

He stomped his feet on the ground, rushing towards Kaido.

He charged forward like lightning, seemingly determined to finish Kaido off for good.

But in that very moment, 

A brilliant slash streaked in from a distance.

The ground was torn apart, and debris flew in all directions.

Confronted with such a powerful strike, even Whitebeard had to raise his naginata to defend against it.

Clang! 

The sound of metal clashing rang out.

With a swing of the naginata, the flying slash disappeared.

As he scanned the surroundings, he noticed a warship had silently approached the island. At the ship's bow, he spotted a woman and two men standing.

All three were dressed in Marine uniforms.

The slash from earlier had been executed by the woman among the three!

Fleet Admiral Akainu, Admiral Momousagi, and Admiral Kizaru!

That's right!

These three individuals are the most powerful Admirals in the current Marine.

Instead of taking part in the naval battle against Whitebeard pirates fleet, the three of them, having allied with the pirate alliance, arrived at Onigashima Island.

They were ready to join forces with Kaido, Golden Lion, and Big Mom to take down Whitebeard together!
