Oh boy.

" - and just as she turned away, eyes threatening to let the tears run down free, she felt a grip on her arm pulling her back. And before she knew it the familiar soft touch of his lips came crashing onto hers.

"I'll never let you go," he said as he pulled away for breath. With tears rolling down her cheek she replied, "I wouldn't have it any other way.

- THE END. "

The keyboard taps faded as a pair of weary hands stretched and put the laptop aside. "Finally done!" exclaimed the owner of those hands, the dark-eyed Brandon.

Reaching out to the edge of his bed he let his legs hang there as he ruffled through his already unkempt hair.

Three rapid knocks on the door interrupted his train of thought which was mostly on the lines of "I need to eat. But I'm too lazy to get up. But I need food. Food is good."

"Yessss?" He called out, knowing that it was his new roommate at the door. The door opened slowly and a striking chestnut-eyed Luke came into view.

"Hey, I ended up getting more dinner than I need, want some?" He asked softly, his tone a little surprising considering how soft he was in comparison to his towering built.

Brandon's POV

"Oh thank the dear lords, for assigning this sweet boy as my roommate." I thought as I nodded quickly and gestured him to come and sit on my bed.

Suddenly living with someone you've only met for ten minutes, is definitely different. The college I was studying in has its own housing system and since it was majorly run by the seniors, they decided it would be fun to assign roommates by making us draw lots.

Luke, the tall chestnut-haired boy sitting opposite me, just happened to sit next to me in orientation and we ended up introducing ourselves and walking to the room allotment area together.

And by some great force, let's call it fate, I ended up drawing his name. It had just been a week and we were still a bit awkward around each other, this being our first time (for both of us) living with somebody new.

Back to the present, I folded my legs as I sat across him. As he opened the parcel of food he glanced at the laptop that was beside me. "Whatcha writing?" He asked seeing my document still open.

Shoot.

I flipped as soon as I realized that I didn't shut my laptop off. In a desperate attempt to quickly hide it, I closed it with unnecessary force and muttered a "Just notes for class." As I prayed to God that he won't probe into it.

You see I'm an author. An author that specialized in romance for that matter. I wrote all kinds of romantic plots as a sideline hobby and I definitely did not want people in college knowing that.

A repeat of the end of high school, when people found out, was definitely out of the question and the mere thought of it sent a shiver down my spine. Let's just say it wasn't a pretty experience, shall we?

I mean how hard can it be in college, right? With the busy work and everyone's own personal lives to take care of, my roommate minding his own business and me mine, it was going to be a breeze, right?

Wrong.

Oh boy, how wrong and naive I was to think that.
