The interior inside Wei Yuze's room was a mixture of a traditional and European styles. At the center of the room was the king-size bed, almost the headrest in the form of a crown. The walls were golden-white and innate with equitably outstanding portraits that perfectly matched the texture of the bedroom.
"Were you created for me to aggravate and tick off my brazen existence?" Han Yufan automatically scolded the moment he laid his palm over the drunk man's forehead. He took in a deep breath as if he was controlling the pile of vigor inside him and said "You are burning intensely, Yuze..."
Wei Yuze capped his eyes and the look in his eyes became furtive.
"Are you kidding me? Is it just a coincidence that after her return, you foolishly turned sick?" Han Yufan blurted out provoked. Wei Yuze was going to become the death of him one day. He hated to admit that this crazy man was his best friend. He remembered Wei Yuze to be one not to get unwell easily, because supposedly for three years, he hadn't fallen ill, and now that she was back, the jackpot stuck.
"It's not my fault anyway" Wei Yuze buffed under his breath. Han Yufan ended up delivering his fist as he was ready to hit him back to earth.
"I have to get a doctor. F**k! You know how much I hate those antiseptic smells on their body... No offense" He shot out miserably. Trying to swallow his frustration, he went out of the room. Some minutes later, he sauntered back in, with a cup of bitter concoction.
"W...what is that smell?" Wei Yuze's flushed cheeks reddened the more as his head became tormented.
"Your miracle!!" Han Yufan intentionally exclaimed. He walked further toward the bedridden man and teased purposefully "Two days later, you are going for an event...take this and get better"
"Why?" Wei Yuze jolted and crushed furthermore "Why must I get better? If you love hard work that much, I can give the company to you"
Han Yufan's irritation developed and his face contorted in rage as he watched the bored expression on the other's face. He was rather left speechless and shouted "Are you telling me you'd rather die than get better? You... F**k!!"
Wei Yuze shrugged "Take your concoction back...I have a headache"
"Oh! I see where this conversation is headed but don't you ever go there, Yuze. You are testing my patience as it is already...would it be wonderful if I were to bring your parent into this mess? This is a direct threat"
"You wouldn't dare" Wei Yuze clamped impatiently.
"Then be a good son and take the concoction"
"Why are you forcing this on me? To get better or because I embarrass you?" Wei Yuze argued lazily.
Han Yufan smiled and dampened Yuze's mood "Of course, you do embarrass me...I sometimes find it hard to admit having a friend as dumb as you. You can't blame it"
"You!!" Wei Yuze frowned "Do you think I am happy to have a nagging friend too?"
"Then have this" Han Yufan settled and pushed himself towards the sick man on the bed. Wei Yuze briskly rose from the bed as he had become sober and drifted away. However, Han Yufan was too smart and saw through his curt tricks. Being two centimeters taller, Han Yufan crossed over the former's body and pushed him back to the bed. Annoyed, Wei Yuze sent the cup of concoction flying to the floor and...
*SMASH!!!*
A satisfied smug was written on Wei Yuze's countenance, and adding more insult to injury, he whispered huskily "What now? Your dearest concoction just....swoosh!!"
Han Yufan threw a prudent glare and raised his hand to strangle Yuze, but he thought otherwise and sighed "How on earth did I ever befriend such a childish..." before he completed his sentence, Wei Yuze pulled his shirt nearer to stop the shit coming out of his mouth. Accidentally, Wei Yuze's lips touched Yufan's. Both being disgusted, retreated and screamed.
"S**t!!"
"F**k,"
"That was intentional? You f**ker. Did you just try to f**k with me? That f**k. You f**king bastard!! You f**king..." Han Yufan was ready to launch an attack.
"Ah! Sorry I didn't see anything... I thought I heard a loud noise from the room...sorry" A middle-aged woman, with curly brown hair, and a bag around her shoulder quickly apologized to the masters. She originally had heard a very loud sound from inside the room and thought something bad happened. She knocked but no one replied, and feeling apprehensive, she instinctively took herself in, but what her eyes saw, she couldn't interpret or bruise.
"Ah, shit...it isn't what you are thinking about...i...am...not...gay. This is a misunderstanding" Han Yufan feeling agonized was too fast to correct. The housekeeper stared at him, bowed her head, and left to prepare another concoction after she observed the broken glasses on the floor.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha, did you see your face when she spoke? Like you saw a ghost...all the color in your face was drained" Wei Yuze teased.
Han Yufan felt like murdering that man, and he asked for permission "Do you want to die? I could pent up your loneliness"
"That was my first kiss with a man" Wei Yuze added with a smirk as if he meant to destroy Han Yufan mentally.
"Fuck you!! Die then" He announced and turned his back on Yuze, before leaving.
-------------------
Outside the room.
The housekeeper pressed her chest to calm the ripple of uneasiness in her heart. Thinking back at what she saw, her face crunched up in disgust.
"Is this the new root of modern life?"
She went out of the apartment because she was scared of getting her lies found out. She only knew how to clean the house, but cook, she was not. The concoction Han Yufan had taken to Yuze was one from the street, and if word was to get out, she'd be dead.
Her dilemma now was how to get another healthy concoction. She'd not give up on such handsome pay from that master, even after doing an hour job.
"Yes, I'll bring the concoction to you now" Chun Hua muttered to the person on the other side of the phone. She was carrying a lunch box and heading into the elevator. The housekeeper's eyes lit up in millions of dynamite and assembled fascinated too into the elevator. Chun Hua was very shocked to see the unknown presence, but her lips curled up into a pretty smile.
"Hello"
The housekeeper returned the smile and said correspondingly "Hello"
"Do you stay here too?" Chun Hua, as an extrovert, inquired pleasingly.
"Yes"
Chun Hua pressed the last floor and clutched tightly on the lunch. Meanwhile, the housekeeper's keen eyes were on the lunch box. Restless, she faked a gloomy expression and mumbled "My son is sick with the flu... Where can I get a concoction? The hospital is far away from here and..." She sighed painfully.
Chun Hua blinked tremendously. She didn't mean to hear the woman's dialogue, but there were just the two inside the elevator. Feeling emotional, she asked with her head dropped to the ground "Did your son fall sick? Didn't you speak to your husband?"
The housekeeper smiled inwardly, but acted dense and sighed again "I am a single mother...my husband died long ago" in her mind, she apologized to her healthy husband.
Chun Hua gasped and politely apologized "I am sorry, I shouldn't have asked...I am.."
"No, I am not offended" The housekeeper insisted, while in her mind, she was saying "My husband is alive and healthy, I have no right to be offended"
Chun Hua scratched her neck and gulped. She noticed the torrent of grief on the older woman's face and felt bad for her. Her son was very sick and all she needed was a concoction for his flu. Inside the lunch bag contained a bowl pack, which she was to send to someone.
The elevator dung.
The housekeeper grunted to herself for the failure. She told the young woman to take care of her health before leaving. Chun Hua felt her heart ache for that woman. She too had a daughter and can't imagine being helpless.
"I... I...I have a concoction with me that you can feed your son" She dictated.
The housekeeper who already lost hope suddenly sighed in relief.
She directed her gaze back at the kind woman and behaved surprised "Really"
Chun Hua nodded, took out the pack of concoctions from the side of the box, and handed it to the woman "I am glad I could help with your situation"
"Thank you so much, I appreciate...you are a savior" There were beads of sweat on the housekeeper's face.
"I wish your son a healthy recovery" Chun Hua beamed, with her perfectly bunny teeth showing exquisitely.
